Olbermann Scolds Obama: Entitlement Cuts ‘A Betrayal of Who You Are’

Keith Olbermann went on an an epic “Special Comment” rant on Monday, but the target of his ire was not conservatives, or Republicans, or even milquetoast liberals — it was Barack Obama.

Olbermann ripped into the president, claiming that Obama is in danger of losing his support if the President makes any deal that cuts or reforms the entitlement state. Olbermann says that any such compromise for Obama would be a “betrayal of all those who elected you, it is a betrayal of who you are, and who you have spent your life becoming.”

Keith also said told the President that he “cannot forecast if you will have made yourself unelectable.”

      When the hell are they going to get that these programs are not entitlements but paid for by deserving people who worked and earned it. The reason it is in question is because they have used the money for their own advancement and now have to find a way to put it back. The only thing that needs to be changed to s/s and medicare is the age requirement simply because people are living longer. Wake the freak up washington before we do away with you all together…..enough said….Peace be with you and yours..

      Hear is a thought for you OLBERMANN, take your excess money and send it into the Government; then maybe i will listen to your epiphany about social compassion. Ya see two years ago my wife and I could see the writing an the wall and cut our expenses in half. I have been unemployed for a year; used my severance and 401k first and now unemployment… ALL of that is taxed of course. Then I watched all levels of government cry they need MORE MONEY, not…. what can we do with out…. but how do we raise revenues? SO the locals valued my house 25% higher than the year before, drivers license is now triple three years ago….

      I could go on, but what is the point? you just want more of other peoples money for “Compassion”; your accountant structures your finances quite well I am sure.

      If we were to keep Social Security, Medicare and Unemployment benefits, each individual should have an account that you are able to keep track of. If you’ve worked your entire life, 30…40…+ years and it shows that you’ve put in that much into the system, you are allowed to take unemployment benefits, etc. Perhaps even throw together an entire families pay in. So if my parents, my aunts and uncles are all successful and paid into the system for a long time and I need unemployment benefits, it can be deducted from my family’s contribution. If I’m a 20 year old that never held a job in my life and apply for unemployment or welfare…. no go. Go earn your wages.

      I have several friends from California to Detroit, some that take unemployment checks because they get more money through it then getting a real job. How pathetic.

    Its always “grandma will have to starve or do without medical attention” or “junior will have to do without college” when Oblowhard talks about cuts. Howabout the real truth:

    “Me and my peeps would have to take a paycut”, or

    “My lobbyists wouldnt get the favors I promised”or

    ” I would lose clout with my base of free loaders/ commies/socialists/overly environmental friendly, racist, pro abortion, pro extra special gay rights weenies that got me elected if I cut all their special programs out”. Acorn anyone?

    “Because they thought I was gonna wave my mighty hand and bring forth miracles~~if I dont give them what they want, I wont be popular anymore. Gosh golly jeepers.”

    There is so much waste that could be cut–including the so called “frozen” wages of his staff. Neal Bortz was talking about these so called “freezes” the other day. They “froze” everyone’s wages alright: after they gave them all astounding 55-83% wage increases overnight.

    Obama’s all smoke and mirrors. I cannot wait till the voters throw him out on his backside.

      Why didnt he say that the welfare recipients wouldnt get their cheack instead? Is he undermining the tea party with scare tactics? You betcha he is. If he said that about welfare, there would be an instant revolt of government teat suckers.

Not giving enough, Blah Blah Blah. Than he started in about Seniors and their Social Security, this is where I get ticked when Libs start whining about Seniors.They could care less about Seniors. Remember how they hated Tea Partiers and mocked them because the were a bunch of “Old White People” now suddenly they care about Seniors. No! They care about their vote. The poor underclass in this country are less likely to go vote. But Seniors will go in large numbers. They want Seniors voting for liberals, that’s why the scare tactics.     Uhmmm….lets see–BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! What a steaming pile of crap. Social Security has been forecasted to be a bankrupt venture since 1988 when I graduated high school. Thats how long its been coming and folks have been talking about it. Well–now its here. Government has attempted to eliminate God, and take his place. All of this humanity, aid, compassion and mercy he suggests was once the avenue of the churches, salvation armies, shelters, etc. I guess their god is government, and government is now not only morally corrupt and bankrupt…they are now fiscally as well. Why work and pay taxes when the government will pay you to stay home and live modestly, take drugs, and have a 72 inch plasma screen television?

    I wil stick with my dad’s advice. My dad’s favorite saying when I was growing up was: “Son–no one owes you a living. Nobody really cares about you, but you and God in this world.Work, earn, and make something of yourself, and give God’s causes 10%.” This bunghole suggests we need someone to give us a living, pamper and wipe our little bottoms and sing us a lullaby…and Obama is screwed if he doesnt keep handing out goodies. Ridiculous. Passionate about the wrong thing altogether. What a boob.
