‘One Nation’ Claims ‘Satellite Image’ Proves 10/2 Rally Is Bigger Than ‘Restoring Honor’

Well I guess that settles it.  They already have the satellite images and all. The AP must be wrong about the “sparse” crowds.   Even MSNBC was saying today’s rally was smaller than the one on 8/28.  Joe Madison was happy to set everyone straight:

Now, did you catch the one possible point of wiggle room with the claim? Mediaite did:

Maybe Ed Schultz was right about being able to attract more people than Glenn Beck: organizers of today’s “One Nation Together Rally” are claiming that, based on a “satellite image,” there are definitively more people on the Washington Mall today than there were on the 29th of August. Congratulations, liberals! Except “Restoring Honor” was on the 28th…it is a near certainty that there are more people congregated on the Mall today than there were on August 29th, given that there was no event scheduled to occur in the Mall on that date.

    Their goal is to put out a “story” for history books of future. It’s why they REPEATEDLY SAY the same things that are insane. Why you’ve heard so little white house reference to 8-28. What can be “googled” or in print 20 years from now. It was very important to out do Restoring Honor rally. I don‘t think they’ve got it, but if they’d pan the pond…they could proove me wrong maybe.

    I am excited for Glenn to juxtapose the messages and participants of the Restoring Honor rally and the One Nation rally. Choose America. The choice is a bit more obvious, in my view, than it was yesterday. God bless America and those who seek to uphold the Constitution and the principles and values of faith, hope, and charity.

    I want to see how “spotless” the Mall is after they leave. Tea Partiers left it spotless. Have you seen the pictures of the Mall after Bams’ inauguration? Friggin’ pigs!

    How many millions of dollars did this rally raise for fallen soldiers? Beck’s earned $5.5. These people had to be bribed with free rides, lunches, etc.

      Thank you for the URL RTIST. I was simply staggered by this theft. Anyone with an ounce of sense, however, could tell by the pictorial display that the 8/28 group was one of graciousness and common purpose. It just appeared like a peaceful gathering——today’s event ? well, just a little chaotic, almost frenetic activity–maybe my impression was swayed by the incongruent posters and signage—or the wide variety of union colors.

      They might do a bit better this time than they usually do after such a ‘gathering’. But they want to prove they’re better than us. Will be hard for them though. WE respect and love….we VALUE these places. They don’t. We take pride in…….they have contempt for……I do want to see the before and afters pics for these guys though. Can they fake it long enough to make it look like they care? I don’t think they can pull it off.

      It wasn’t as big of an event, but I was at the Capitol Building when they were voting for the health bill. It was a Tea Party happening; it lasted 2 whole days; I was there from the very beginning to the very end. When we left it was emaculately clean! I remember thinking, “There is no work to do for a maintenance crew, if they have one.” There were no matching T-shirts. The signs were hand-made, and unique. The crowd was polite. We left no garbage at all.

    It’ll be interesting to see if that was the goal…to be bigger or better than the Restoring Honor rally. Restoring Honor was special and something all families and individuals could be a part of then, now, and in our futures. This rally just doesn’t seem like it had goals of improving us as Americans.

      I was waiting for the same thing. I watched for it and NEVER did they pan the crowd. I hope Glenn had people there photographing what they would not or maybe Breitbart. They had an attention span of about 2 hours. They waited to start broadcasting until about 1/2 hour in hoping more would show and then about 2:30 PM… it was pretty sparse. If I had to guess I would say they had about 100,000.

      It really doesn’t matter to me whether Glen Beck or this crowd had more people in attendance. I watched portions of this rally and heard only one speaker say anything good about America, the achievements of our nation or the opportunities for everyone that are abundant in our country. All the rest whined about opression, lack of opportunity, lousy schools, too many rich people, inadequate housing and every other kind of perceived injustice. And, the message was that to conquer all these ill all we need is more government intervention and taxes to solve the problems.

      Nothing has changed–nothing to see here–move on.

      I was just watching on cspan and the crowd was pathetic – and to boot, so many people were talking during the speeches you could hear them almost as well as the person with the microphone. Did you know we are the ones who are divisive? I did notice signs and some people had on their little socialist t-shirts. Wonder if they even realize that or if they are just doing what they were told to do. Cattle going to slaughter, taking their children and grandchildren with them and too oblivious to see it.

      They organizers should have saved the money they spent on putting this event together and used it for pensions of the unions whose balance sheet cannot pay out. OR, maybe they should have put the monies towards the poor people they say they are concerned about OR, maybe they should have purchased some health care plans for those who do not have OR maybe they should have put the monies towards getting some illegals to be legal.       I heard the announcement when Schultzy changed hosts and thought to myself there is no way they have had objective comparisons from satellite pictures. The comparison to the 29th was diabolically clever and deceptive. The “Somebody go tell Glenn Beck the crowd here right now is bigger than the crowd on the 29th” is amazing slight of hand. It’s reminds me of “The Administration” coming out and “reminding ” everyone that Obama cut our taxes. Never mind those pesty fees, tarriffs, cap and trade dynamics, etc. The government is definitely going to take more of your money but he promised a tax cut and a tax cut (stimulus check) he did produce. See, it’s not a lie, you just didn’t listen closely enough.

      8/28 was voluntary and a choice . It was not ordered to attend by a union, folks it sure looks like communism to me! The Glenn Beck rally was peaceful and serene (blessed of God) restoring honor not a cheer leading crowd to prop up the Obama maniacs and make them think they are really making headway in forcing a socialist agenda on the people.       Don’t worry – many shots will come out of both groups eventually – satelite, from the stages, from the lawns and from the other end of the pool. There is absolutely no way this rally was a fraction of Glenn Becks – and at that point these libs will look exactly like the lying liars that they are.

      The crowd was way thinned out. In the beggining it varely went halfway the length of the reflecting pool. Then they obviously told them to spread out because then the crowd reached the end, but with only a few people every 10 feet. They are were loud and disinterested. This was not a rally, it was a military parade like in the waning days of the Soviets – fake hardware, mandatory attendance, absolutely no inspiration.

      This charade by the left is becoming a recurring joke. Like the wolf in Grandma’s bed – every day we see “what big eyes, what a big nose, what a big mouth and what big teeth” they have. The whole charade is getting so heavy they can’t keep it up any more. I feel it collapsing all ready!

      I LOVE the Trash photos!!!! This is the difference in a nutshell. 8/28 was about restoring the best of what people have inside them. Respect is high on the list, we have respect for the mall for it belongs to we the people. There is no respect on the other side. Mandatory attendance, possibly paid,extensive hate speech,lies and oh yeah….a big mess. 10/2 glad its over. 11/2 CAN’T WAIT!!!

      I was there today in the crowd I was also at THE RESTORING HONOR rally The Glen Beck rally was larger. Glen Beck was all about honoring our troops, values honesty. There was nothing political about Glen Becks rally. This rally today was all about politics and hate for anyone conservative.The ride down was free for you and as many guests as you wanted to bring. A lot of folks brought their children. Glen Beck”s rally I paid my way down on the bus . The crowd at Glen Beck”s rally were a peaceful crowd. There was nothing hateful said about anyone. Today I was really afraid of this crowd and very glad that no one knew that I too am an Ultra Conservative just like Glen Beck and very proud of it.

      GET REAL. There were more people yesterday, and denying it is useless! Yes, progressives, liberals, hard working union members and many more Americans who love their country just as much as you, did make a major statement on Saturday. Beck was wrong, outsmarted, out organized and just doing anything he can to desperately push his ratings ahead of O’Reilly and Rush.

      i watched some of it. i was at 8/28 and couldn’t move for hours. we all had to use the bathroom around 9 am but couldnt physically move from our spot. this crowd yesterday i could see people walking freely by the front. Their claim is just simply dishonest.

      I think the line from one of the media outlets after the 8/28 rally is more fitting after this gathering…“ There are more tourist trolling thru the national mall on a regular saturday then there were for this rally” hehehe careful what you say media.       Due to a business trip I had the opportunity to be on the mall 10/2. For comparisons sake, I attended 8/28. I can absolutely state that the numbers did not compare at all. I was able to walk upstream with no problem and in fact was able to crossover and take photos. On 8/28 we were like sardines and could hardly move. The Metro was NOT packed either coming or going yesterday. The signs yesterday were quite interesting. Defintely socialist, communist and even one that said “Glen Beck is a gold salesman”. Made me chuckle. I am certain that there were other conservatives like myself as I took a shot of one guy carring a sign “one nation under God Faith Hope & Charity”. I stopped him to see if he had been harrassed and he said no. We wished one another luck and moved on. The crowds were patchy, little to none on either side of the trees and many people were sitting and talking in small groups, not paying attention to the speakers. We stayed for about 1.5 hrs and just couldn’t take anymore. We (my husband and I) went to the Washington Monument and took a shot toward the Lincoln Memorial. I think the ariel photo was taken early but at 1:30 pm, about 1.5 hrs into the rally, they were no where close to the crowd of 8/28. It was certainly a crowd of union people who were bussed in for this event, the majority of them SEIU, UAW, CWA and NEA. Very few people attended that did not have a union shirt of some kind. It was an interesting adventure to the “other side”.

      Typical public school educated guy taking the word of another public school educated guy. If I looked at the crowd with a magnifying glass from outer space, I still could have seen the difference. Those people are such a joke. I watched that whole sham yesterday and couldn’t stop laughing. I can’t make up my mind if they really believe that whole bunch of crap or are just pretending they believe it.
      What a disgusting bunch of human debris. I can‘t believe that’s all the people 400 organizations could muster together. They only showed the world they are truly the minority.

      We were not there on 8/29 but we were on 8/28 and Three ways they could count the crowd. 1. Number of buses at the stadium. 2. Volume of people on the trains. 3. Hotel room booked.
      But I‘m sure they won’t do that. But I remember how hard it was to get a bus and to get a Hotel close was even harder. We were going to get a hotel and ride our bikes in but that was impossible! It’s ok because we/you all know the truth and the truth will set you free!

      I‘ve been thinking this one over and still can’t decide if misstating the date was a deliberate tactic to convey a false impression without having to tell an outright lie.

      OK, I’ve decided. Those on the left are way smarter than the rest if us. Just ask them and they’ll let you know. I, therefore, conclude that this could not have been a mistake because liberals never make mistakes. Again, don’t take my word for it. Just ask them.

      Misleading and lying are both so popular with, and regarded as different acts by progressives, liberals and socialists. Never forget that the lefties don’t regard misleading as a form of lying.
