‘One Nation’ Rally Welcomed All Sexualities Including ‘Questioning’

Darlene Nipper is Deputy Executive Director of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force:
“Diversity is our greatest strength. Our youth…be they bisexual, straight, gay, lesbian, transgender, questioning, immigrant or other…”
The Wikipedia entry for LGBT indicates that “questioning” is sometimes represented by the an actual “?” and sometimes by the letter Q as in LGBTQ. I‘m not clear on Nipper’s intent in including “immigrant” to this list of sexual orientations. But it is clear that the “One Nation” rally was a very big tent of inclusion.

Posted on October 3, 2010 at 1:18pmI normally put up something to warn viewers, sorry. It just seems to me the first time I saw those pics it flipped me out that we have that in the middle of the street in the middle of the day in our country and no one seems to even bring attention to it. When I see articles or commentary by the left on diversity and accepting all sexual orientations these pictures flash into my mind. I ask myself is this what they want to be the every day norm on every street for my kids and grandchildren? Do others even know that this is going on somewhere in the country?

I cannot write for others but I was not offended. I even turned off the blurs and looked at both pages. What is displayed is simply reality. However, I will confess to being somewhat naive. I had no clue about what goes on up in San Francisco. I have never seen anything like that before.
I bet a lot of innocent tourists who stumble onto Folsom Street are really surprised!
Something I did while there at the web site is to look closely at backgrounds to learn if any children are present. I did not see any children. My guess is access is somehow restricted for this event. I did see some goings on which normally would have people tossed in jail for a long time. I am somewhat baffled San Francisco would allow those activities to take place in public view.
Over in Los Angeles there is an annual “gay parade” which is sincerely a lot of fun, even broadcast on television; G rated. Nothing like what happens in ‘Frisco takes place in this Los Angeles gay parade which is more like Madis gras in New Orleans but a little less risque.
A big difference is the Los Angeles gay parade is well known for being peaceful and civil along with virtually no public drinking of alcoholic beverages. Children do attend the Los Angeles gay parade and this is safe for children. There is also a noticeable police presence although not really needed.
I am curious to learn of this thinking of the San Francisco city council to allow this Folsom Street event. There are some serious issues involved, even criminal issues.
I am more curious to learn of this viewpoint of Nancy Pelosi on this Folsom Street event.

You know this is not true. I respect your dislike of gays and lesbians, I understand this thinking. However, gays and lesbians have nothing to do with pedophiles. Sexual predation upon children is a mental illness in a class of its own; nothing to do with sexual orientation.
Labeling gays and lesbians as being pedophiles is over the line, is not right.

Nancy Pelosi supporters. I think Pelosi is more creepy.
Despite the warning, I removed the blurs. Might not be fair to use my corn fed Okie cowboy husband as a standard. All of those boys are on the small side except for one whom I rate as medium.
What the heck is with all those rings? Looks painful. Way weird!
We are very tolerant and have no problems with gays and lesbians. Several friends are gay boys. Those boys are super nice, polite, well spoken, rather likable gentlemen. Their homes are gorgeous, quite classy and well kept. We have a lot of lesbian girlfriends whom I love dearly. Those girls are nothing but fun! They are also very classy professional gals who blend-in perfectly with our community; model citizens.
Those folks up there on Folsom Street, I don’t think those are gays and lesbians. Those folks are way out beyond the fringe edge. Lot of hairy backsides and fat bellies. Gross!
There is a need to differentiate between typical gays – lesbians and those nutjobs up in ‘Frisco. I would encourage readers not to assume those Folsom freaks to represent typical gays and lesbians, they do not! Those Folsom folks are simply mondo beyondo.
Entertaining, though, in a macabre way.

I never thought this, doubtful others think this. Most of us know almost all gays and lesbians are simply nice people and are not associated with this Folsom Street insanity.
LWOOT closes, “I simply worry about how far we are willing to go on the accept everything different and embrace it.”
Well, you sure as heck ain’t gonna catch me embracing those Folsom fools! Uh huh, I am wearing gator waders to keep their cooties off me! I would be fearful to simply breathe around them.
I agree with you, there must be limits. Those crazy boys and girls can do whatever they like behind closed doors, and they are to keep those doors closed, preferably locked. Like you, I question if this Folsom thing you share is not way beyond expected decency. I have no problem with public nudity, but what those people are doing is outright pornographic; true sexual perversion.
I cannot think of a single valid reason why we, as a society, must “tolerate” that type of behavior out in the public. Film it privately, share it through Netflix, fine, but not real life in-your-face public.
I am glad you provided that web link, sure enough an eye opener. This adds a new perspective on left liberals, and on Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco. Rather shocking, to be truthful.

This rally, as I see it, was mainly about jobs, and diversity, and mobilizing against the forces which seek to harm these great aspects of America.
It’s about the so-called “US” Chamber of Commerce–and the Republican Congresspeople that walk in lockstep with them–who nurture communist China, acting as one great plutocratic machine. This machine sends millions of blue and white collar jobs overseas, while at the same time, puts our very economic survival and national security at risk, by selling out America to a communist country. Oh by the way, the Republicans back companies getting a tax windfall for doing this.
Republicans recently stood against two American job creating bills. The “US” Chamber recently said it prefers a communist Chinese having a job over an American. With each job that moves to China, we lose additional income tax revenue, leading to a bigger deficit.
As far as I am concerned, anyone who is fighting for my job and my economy on American soil, waving signs saying whatever, is a friend of mine, even if they call themselves “Questioning,” or any one of a number of other diverse names. On the other hand. anyone who stands for US plutocracy and foreign communist interests is not. They are against America.
So support progressive causes, unions, and the Democrats. It’s as simple as that. The Tea Party supports big money and further deregulation–which would only lead to more US power shifting to others like communist China.

Astounding truly astounding!!!!!
This rally, as I see it, was mainly about jobs, and diversity, and mobilizing against the forces which seek to harm these great aspects of America.
*** These mobilizing forces being the Republicans, US Chamber of Commerce, Communists Countries, The Wealthy and The Tea Party****
It’s about the so-called “US” Chamber of Commerce–
*** From the Chamber of Commerce website: More than 96% of U.S. Chamber members are small businesses with 100 employees or fewer.” ***
and the Republican Congresspeople that walk in lockstep with them–who nurture communist China, acting as one great plutocratic machine. This machine sends millions of blue and white collar jobs overseas, while at the same time, puts our very economic survival and national security at risk, by selling out America to a communist country. Oh by the way, the Republicans back companies getting a tax windfall for doing this.
*** Break down of this is that the wealthy are nurturing “communist china” with the help of small businesses and the republicans and tea party to give millions of American jobs to communists. “In 1980, it took 454,000 General Motors workers to build 5 million cars. Today, it takes 118,000.” Those jobs where not outsourced they were replaced with automation technology. Research more on your own the ideas of outsourcing, whats being outsourced and how it effects our economy and jobs. Don’t just read the article in the Huffington post on Sept. 28 2010. ***
Republicans recently stood against two American job creating bills. The “US” Chamber recently said it prefers a communist Chinese having a job over an American. With each job that moves to China, we lose additional income tax revenue, leading to a bigger deficit.
*** Refer to my comments above***
As far as I am concerned, anyone who is fighting for my job and my economy on American soil, waving signs saying whatever, is a friend of mine, even if they call themselves “Questioning,” or any one of a number of other diverse names.
*** Including communists and socialists***
On the other hand. anyone who stands for US plutocracy and foreign communist interests is not. They are against America.
So support progressive causes, unions, and the Democrats. It’s as simple as that. The Tea Party supports big money and further deregulation–which would only lead to more US power shifting to others like communist China.
*** Ah regulation and deregulation. So much there to cover it’s staggering. Good arguments for and against regulation. The most important being that freedom LIBERTY is infringed upon with regulation. Even when regulating to avoid bad things it should be done with great caution in my opinion. ***
