Oops: Eric Cantor Mistakenly Says It‘s Been a ’Hard Fart Primary’

On Sunday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor made headlines for endorsing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. But following his appearance on “Meet the Press,” some critics found a hilarious portion of his interview that many people overlooked or missed all together. In speaking about the Republican battle for the 2012 nomination, Cantor mistakenly said that it has been “a hard fart primary.”

Now, quite obviously, he was attempting to say “fought” and his accent and/or a slight mistake may have taken him off the rails a bit. Nonetheless, the clip is funny and worth watching if you need a break from the daily grind:

Gawker’s Emma Carmichael, of course, used the opportunity to take a swipe at the GOP candidates, writing, “The representative has a point…The GOP primary race has essentially been one giant, continuous, squelching fart joke.”

Now, it’s one thing to make an error in oration, but it is another debacle entirely to actually pass gas while engaged in an on-air interview. While The Blaze didn’t weigh in on either side of the debate, we did ask readers what they thought about Barney Frank’s alleged gas attack last August (95 percent of you believe that it was, indeed, what critics alleged).

We‘ll leave you with Frank’s moment of infamy, below:

Wow – a politician that can say the truth and not lie. I just wished he had called Paul and Newt for what they are – Leftest liberals making the two runners use up their war chest fighting them rather than save it for Obama. The two front runners should meet and flip a coin – heads or tails. Winner runs as president and the other will be vice president. Then the party couldn’t do all the down and dirty politics under the table and picking the vice president on payback to the party.

when dealing with all the sheet that the current office spreading around, they’ll always be a hard fart to deal with. A hard fart always precludes the turds that they’re pushing back against, Look at the bright spot, at least it isn‘t an soft squishy one where you can’t fart with confidence! Cantor to interviewer, “can farts have lumps, if not I think I may have just shat myself”

The joke…the rancher asks his horse, “how many oats do you want?” & the horse lifts his tail & says: A———–Few!

When we were in grade-school, we always had a “joker” in the class. There was, in my class, an “exceptionally bright student” but once in awhile he would like to “stir-things-up” and slip his hand under his shirt and do the sound when he placed his hand under his armpit and flapped many times….he was “quick-as-lightning” to remove his hand from his shirt when the teacher turned-around. I am still deciding who to vote for but may consider “that candidate” that will do “The-fart- flap“ when a CNN or MSNBC idiot asks a stupid question like ”birth-control-pills”. LOL

It has been a comedy of errors. I mean, we’ve had what seems like 10,000 debates up to this point, with a third on MSNBC, another third on ABC, and the last third on CNN.

Now they have him . Another major Republican gaff for the elite media to focus on , this will probably be the undoing of their chances in the fall elections . What a scoop David Gregory has ,just when the smoke from Rush calling that w h o r e….. a….. s l u t was dying down ,the republicans step in it again with “fartgate”. Well that’s it folks the election is lost.

If Cantor actually thinks Romney with his only cuts to future increases, more war, increasing minimum wage, and his history of raising taxes is a good plan then I believe he has been huffing methane gas.

Naw, it was his accent. LOL and Barney did really fart.

What I think we should do is combine the two video’s. When Eric says fart show Barney leaning and farting. Now that would be hilarious.
