Oops: NBC Affiliate Tweets About Loving Gay Bars

Texas NBC affiliate KTSM-TV had some egg on its face Friday after sending out a tweet about loving gay bars.
“I love the love at gay bars,” the El Paso station tweeted. “I have 5 new bffs in 15 minutes.”
As Media Bistro noted, the tweet was quickly deleted, though not before BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski grabbed a screenshot:
The station subsequently posted another tweet clarifying the message was “not associated with our station.”

Lots of women love gay clubs because they can enjoy a night out socializing and dancing with friends without being hit-on every 5 minutes–even if you find that flattering and like they attention, that’s GOT to get old after hours of repetition.

Posted on June 12, 2012 at 2:48amI one time went to one with a straight friend and his bi-curious female friend. Let’s just say I was freaked out the entire time. Talk about mentally ill people wandering around. It was just one after another men dressed up like women walking around. Obviously they had gender identity problems as they were men who thought they were women by wearing wigs and makeup. Freaky. So if gay bars are so great because women can go there and dance, well that doesn’t say much for women. It also tells me that this “acceptance” of mentally ill gay people is being led by women (because they can dance at night clubs with them freely). That doesn’t cut it for me. It used to be (20 yrs ago) you were supposed to tolerate gays. Now you’re suppose to embrace them and worship them and insist they get married. What led this crusade for gays? Women and their gay hair stylist or friends. You do realize that the Progressive movement began after women got the right to vote. The US has been going further and further to the left ever since women got to vote. I am not going to promote gay behavior just because women can dance with them and not be hit on. That’s just not a good enough reason.
