CHICAGO (AP) — Oprah Winfrey is taking her audience to Australia.
On the premiere of the 25th — and final — season of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” that aired Monday, Winfrey surprised the 300 people in her studio audience that she was taking them all on a trip to Australia.
The audience shrieked when Winfrey made the announcement and actor John Travolta joined Winfrey on stage.
The show included a few surprise visitors, including actor Don Johnson and singer Paul Simon, who sang a song he wrote for the talk show host.
For cable viewers, there’s more Winfrey to come. She’s set to launch her Oprah Winfrey Network, or OWN, on cable Jan. 1.
The end of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will be featured on that network with “Behind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season.”

Posted on September 13, 2010 at 8:29pmYeah, so.. no. I don’t know anything about the Black Panthers, but all of those organizations laud black people who have been succesful despite the odds against them. To do that they woul have to recognize that there are succesful black people.
What they do say and what is supported by statistics is that the income difference between blacks and whites is highly disparate. They attribute this to the fact that blacks were brought to America as slaves to work for plantation owners who them became quite rich. When the slaves were freed, they were not given the opportunities afforded to white and because of their backgrounds as slaves, did not have an education and did not learn to read and write.
So think about that. Oprah’s granparents were likely the first people in her family to learn to read and write, and here she is the richest woman in America. She embodies the American dream.

I’m certain it hours and days, lots starbucks coffee, smoothies, donuts, Chicago Pizza, and pound cakes discussing the logistics. Lets say the first lady finds out that Oprah is planning this “take the audience on a trip” thing. How’d she know? She has one of her guys monitor all of Mr. Presidents BarackBerry calls and informs her everytime Oprah calls him and discuss the nature of the calls. She’s the wife and is entitled to this information right? Oprah trusts her friend the president, but, says, don’t tell you know who! It’s a secret! Mrs. President (Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama a.ka. First Lady) gets out the playbook, flips it open, flips forward a few thousand pages, back a couple of hundred and comes to page 2010, never let a serious crisis to go to waste. Got a friend in need, take everyone to Spain! Traveling and Shopping is the best therepy (playbook page 2). You can only imagine the horrific scream Oprah let out when she heard saw the news. But that’s not what happened. Australia had always been the plan. (playbook page 1, Smoke & Mirrors) After the wife (Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama a.k.a. First Lady a.k.a. Mrs President) left for Spain, the President met with Oprah and the two laughed about it over dinner. Then the President looked seriously into Oprah’s eyes, and said, “we’re not repeating this, right?”
