O‘Reilly Challenges Trayvon Martin’s Mother on Al Sharpton: He ‘Should Apologize’

Sybrina Fulton Appears on The OReilly Factor | Trayvon Martin, George ZimmermanTrayvon Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and her lawyer, Benjamin Crump, appeared on FOX News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” last night where they joined Bill O’Reilly in discussing the Rev. Al Sharpton, George Zimmerman, and the media’s reaction to the case.

“I think all Americans are feeling your pain,” O’Reilly told Fulton. “And we all want justice in the case.”

The host quickly transitioned into questions about the Rev. Al Sharpton and his disparaging comments about Zimmerman.

“I don’t know the circumstances behind it, but he also promotes peace,” Fulton said of Sharpton. “We’ve never asked for anyone to do anything out of the ordinary. We wanted to have peaceful rallies and peaceful protests. And we’re not supporting any violence or anything.”

O‘Reilly said that both Fulton and Martin’s father, Tracy Martin, have been “magnificent” and that they, indeed, haven‘t sparked any calls for violence in the wake of their son’s death. Still, the host stated his concern with the ongoing tensions that are creating a stir across America.

“The television media is whipping up these things,” O’Reilly continued. “And I think that Sharpton should apologize for some of the things he’s said.”

Again, Fulton attempted to steer clear of condemning Sharpton, claiming that she hasn‘t been watching the news and doesn’t have enough information to comment.

“I’m not sure what response you want,” she said.

Crump then jumped into the conversation to explain why the rallies and demonstrations have been much-needed, in his view, to ensure Zimmerman’s arrest.

“I think one of the things, Mr. O’Reilly, you [had to have these] rallies and demonstrations just to get him arrested,” Crump explained. “We’ve always felt that had that not happened they would have never arrested Zimmerman.”

O’Reilly respectfully disagreed and said that he always assumed that officials would do the right thing and arrest the shooter.

The conversation next turned to the justice system — a system that Fulton says she has full faith in.

“I believe in the judicial system and I believe that he [Zimmerman] can get a fair trial,” she explained.

In the end, Crump agreed with O’Reilly and said that there was no need to make the case about race when it really should be centered upon justice.

“This shouldn’t be a racial issue,” he said. “It should really just be about justice.”

    You see any of the above, you know they are just there to stir up trouble and put a dollar in their pocket. Right now Al is about the worse. Does he still have his MSNBC show?
    I hear Jesse Jackson is headed to Tulsa to stir up trouble there even though the Tulsa shooters have been arrested. What is most disturbing is that Eric Holder has praised Sharpton for his work with the Martin case.

      While I feel pain for this family’s loss, I really do, I also wish everyone would shut their mouths, as all of the facts are not out yet. We need to let the justice system take it’s course and if Zimm is guilty, he pays for it, if not he walks free. Until such time, all the mouthpieces need to take a break and stand down, including the parents!

      As the economy worsen the left sees the Stand your ground law as a way to enpowering citizens to not be victims depending on the government to keep them safe. And the race pimping sharpton’s sees it as standing in the way of black criminals creating more victims especially white ones.
      We can’t have criminals dying on the street instead of sucking 35-50 thousand a year out of the tax payers.

      It seems that Allegiance has more information than is available to the general public. She seems to know that Mr. Martin was ‘doing absolutely nothing criminal’. I think she should be a witness in court because this could be major turning point in the case. This is why we shouldn’t jump to conclusions because someone such as Allegiance will come forward with first hand information and clear everything up.

      We know that Martin was not doing anything wrong because he was not doing anything wrong. Zimmerman‘s only evidence of wrong doing was Martin’s appearance, that’s it. We also know that Zimmerman left his vehicle, against the advice of 911, with a loaded weapon, for the purpose of following Martin. That alone should have resulted in his arrest the night of the incident.

      Zimmermans nose didn‘t bloody itself he didn’t lay on the ground and bang his own skull against,he did roll around getting grass stain on himself own purpose. And an eye witness said he was on the losing end of an a55 whooping calling for help just before a shot rang out.
      And how would I feel if it were my son mad as he77 is how I would feel. But that‘s because it’s personal to me. I feel sorry for trayvon‘s parents I truely do I can’t even imagine the lost they feel.but a also feel sorry for Zimmermans family as well. Here’s a man that stepped up to help protect his neighborhood and was put in a place no one wants to be between possible death and possibly taking a life. Zimmerman made the choice pretty much all of us would make TO LIVE.
      End of story he‘ll walk this dog and pony show to appease Trayvon’s family,the radical leftist,and politician will cost Florida millions and nothing will change.

      I’m really tired of that illogical argument. Anyone who thinks the only reason a Mexican Cartel member had a gun is because of the Fast and Furious program, well, Ron White said it best “you can’t fix stupid”. Yes, Agent Terry was shot by a drug gang member with a gun from the F&F, but if F&F never existed, that same gang member would have still been there with a gun he got from somewhere else, and Agent Terry would still have been shot. Why? Because his job put him in that dangerous position and the drug gang member would have still been there doing what he thought was his job. There is no one-to-one relationship between Agent Terry’s death and the F&F program. You just want there to be so you can blame Obummer/Holder. Yes, I believe they are both incompetent, but I would prefer to bring them down with the TRUTH.

    Ms. Fulton doesn’t have enough information to comment? Really? She and Sharpton have practically been joined at the hip since he began his tirades in the media.
    Later on Hannity, a reporter from a Fox affiliate in Florida spoke about her interviews with two witnesses who confirm Zimmerman’s version of the shooting. She also made clear that their statements were not presented in the court filings.

      She & her husband have my sympathy. So does Zimmerman’s family. But being a grieving mother doesn‘t justify her acceptance of Sharpton’s words & actions. If she wanted justice in the case she would have advocated everyone shut up, go home and let the police investigation proceeed according to Florida law. She would have also said that justice must apply to both her son & Zimmerman. She did the exact opposite. Apparently she doesn’t believe that “innocent until proven guilty” applies to everyone.

THIS is why Bill O’Reilly was asking if she thought Al Sharpton should apologize for making this an issue about race. I feel for her loss, and is a terrible thing to talk ill of the dead, BUT, there are MANY unanswered questions here and I am thinking she has some she is holding back since the version of her “12 year old” son makes MUCH more sympathy……IF this were my son I’d sure as hell be pissed but, I would NOT go on the talk show cicrcuit either!!!!       I am wondering if they searched her house or the father’s house if they would find some stolen items. How long was Trayvon staying with the father. Was he there when the other robberies occured? How come his girlfriends story changed. First she said she told him to run and he said he was not going to run. Now she says he was running away.       Mike: This woman has decided to make her son’s death a HUGE media event for her own personal gain. She aligned herself with Sharpton…that speaks volumes. Not once has she come out and condemned the NBPP for the “wanted dead or alive” posters. She has had her attorney file copyrights and trademarks on phrases like “Justice for Trayvon”.     O’Reilly proudly stated he:

    1. Is all for gun control
    2. Is all for civil unions
    3. Is against the death penalty
    4. Is all for gay adoptions of innocent children
    5. Believes global warming IS REAL !! (“anyone who says otherwise is an idiot”)

    One would have thought O’Reilly would at least have had the prudence to keep these leftist views private.

    Yes, justice should be the issue – but it’s not. O‘Reilly was right in bringing this up but most of the time I’m disappointed in his naivete. He often says he doesn’t believe in “conspiracies” and he believes Obama loves the country, the birth certificate deal is crazy – doesn’t believe what Glenn says mostly – despite all the proof out there. Then he says (which I believe he really wants & thinks he’s doing) he’s “looking out for us”! He doesn’t seem to see that if he really was, he’d be reporting on the factual proofs out there about this fraudulent President & the biggest destructive scam in our history, etc. At least presenting it for “us to decide”. But I also heard that their boss has told them at Fox NOT to be “activists”. Maybe he’s gotten threats? That’s how the Obama regime works….threats, bribes, fraud & getting rid of bothersome people who tell the truth. So……makes me wonder…..

      She was not in the vicinity. She lives 200 miles away. Apparently, he was visiting friends or family, so you can’t fault her on living that home. However, if he was suspended from school for 10 days, why was he allowed to visit friends or other family? If my son got suspended from school he’d be spending those 10 days in his room grounded. I guess that is the difference between a responsible parent versus a irresponsible parent.

    My sympathy is gone for this mother bc she knows Sharpton’s game and she is playing by his rules. I am sick of the whole story and hope there is justice too, and I stand with Zimmerman. At this point if it turns out they charge him I will never believe it was a fair judgement. The media got to the point they were making stuff up and it has been about race ever since Sharpton came on the scene, not sure about before.

    When the trial begins… I hope they have dug into Trayvons past behavior….. I will bet a dime to a donut that his past isn’t as innocent as the media wants us to believe. I do not believe Ms. Fulton for one minute that she doesn’t know what Uncle Al has said……This should be about justice but it will not be…Al, Jesse…and the NBP will keep it a race thing…..Ms. Fulton has full confidence in the law until it finds for the defendant and then watch the crap hit the fan

      There will be no “digging” into Martin’s past, except to find more youthful pictures instead of his current “gang like” pictures.

      We see this all the time up in Toronto.

      Another poor, down-trodden black mother, wailing about how her son was unjustly killed, he was a good boy, blah-blah-blah.

      So why was he out at 3 am in a bar with a bunch of other thugs and got himself shot dead, mom?

      They use words like “justice” but what they mean is, they want Zimmerman convicted.

      Why didn’t Bill face her with the question, of what she’s going to do, or feel, if “the system” finds out the kid confronted Zimmerman and started wailing on him?

      What is the black community going to do then?

      How funny it is, God’s sick sense of humour, that the two shootings (the Arizona kid) and this one, come so close and are so similar, yet so different. Maybe it’s a test from God.

      I think we’re failing.

      Martin’s past is relevant in that it could establish his likely suspicious behavior. The fact he was likely casing houses to bust into, as he apparently has done before considering the girls jewelry and screwdriver that was confiscated by his principle.

    Im dissapointed in Ms. Fultons dealings with Al Sharpton. I would of expected her to either repudiate what Sharpton was saying as far as pouring gas on an already large fire and or tell Sharpton to take a hike if hes going to continue his rhetoric.

      I am no fan of Al Sharpton, but I am a fan of chidren and maybe If Sharpton had not gotten involved, the Sandford police would still be saying there is not enough evidence to make an arrest. Maybe you would feel better if her son had just been killed and nothing donw. Watch what you wish for, because things you hope and wish on others have a way of coming right back at you.
