In case you haven’t noticed the network media in your country does have a left wing bias and the perception of FNC by those on the left of the political spectrum is that it is run by a bunch of racist loons. The joke was funny b/c everyone knows that “#1 with racists” is the perception of FOX true or not. The use of the “fair and balanced” was also quite good

In last season, Homer did say “…that jackass Joe Biden.“ The line is in the episode ”The Great Wife Hope” near the start of the show after Bart gets an autograph from one of the UPKCC fighters.

The last part was funny, about being unbalanced. It was a funny joke, but they screwed up by saying the racist thing. All they needed the helicopter to say on the side was Fox News actual moniker “Fair & Balanced”… joke is perfect with that. They should stick to trying to make comedy rather than jabs at people who watch the other side.

It’s a joke. The Simpsons are infamous and hilarious for spoofing everyone, everything, and a great sign of your importance on the national scale is by seeing if you’re getting spoofed.

Frankly, when I watched the episode (keep in mind, I can only stand to watch Fox News for news these days), I laughed a lot. Especially at the “It’s not fair, we’re unbalanced” part. This was no mean-spirited attack. It really wasn’t.

I like the good cop bad cop dynamic. It seemed to me that O‘Reilly stepped a little but back into a
devils advocate kind of vibe, While Glenn’s segments make the case and O‘Reilly comes around slowly.
Yes it theater , but it teaches me a lesson about open mindedness and how its very difficult to weave and bop the facts. Love it … keep it up…. for the Folks

Fox is # 1 hated by the New Worlders, even though they have 80% of the air. Envy, Pride, Greed, Wrath come to mind. I was raised that these are deadly

      @Chet

Yes, I doubt it. I know that’s not true. Most modern racists are left-wingers. That’s why they are obsessed with it. It’s all they can think about. Raced-obsessed IS racist. They view everything to race-colored lenses because THEY are racist! And they don’t watch much Fox. Just the opposite is true. The vast majority of racists are watching MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc.
The left suffers from a form of psychosis called “projection”. They “project” onto others the thoughts and emotions they are suffering from themselves. So when Hillary Clinton saw some “vast right-win conspiracy”, she was “projecting” onto the right what she was involved with herself — a vast LEFT-wing conspiracy!
The racists are people like Jeneane Garofalo and Jesse Jackson. They don’t watch much of Fox. If they did, they probably wouldn’t be racists any more!

Well, here is another tactic that’s been used since Nero burned Rome. Blame another for your sins. If you are a racist, classist, sexist, homophobe that would love to see Sharia law and full blown Communism in your hometown- you are an American Liberal. And the first thing you do is call everyone backing small government what you already know yourself to be.

That’s it. That’s the game. A racist doesn’t care if you call him a racist. Because he KNOWS HE’S RACIST. It doesn’t work on racists. It never has.

Call the communists and muslims what you will, but they have the method’s for overthrowing societies down pat. They have literal rules in black and white. Rules for Radicals and the A-Hadith. It’s right there. Step by step destruction of any civilization. I can’t say I admire that, but at it’s core, evil must have order for it to work. Cold and calculating and loathsome of all life.

Because too much negativity drives me insane. I listen to Beck and the local guys in Phoenix. Everything seems to be getting worse. I work almost continuously for 5 days each week – on-call until 7am every day I work. I also work weekends. For me, these shows provide moments to relax my head for a bit. That’s why I watch animated shows or insane comedy (usually British – Coupling, Green Wing, Father Ted, Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly and others)

You can’t spend all of your time angry 24/7 without going insane. You need to relax at least for a few minutes. Shift your focus to something else for a bit. I have ignored the news for a few days because it does get to be a bit much. I tune back in later and get caught up on things.

I voted when the opportunity came, and I did vote to take Washington back. I don’t need to hear every little detail about what our arrogant leader and his team are doing to know something needs to be done..

Fox often makes fun of itself in its Sunday evening cartoons. This is seldom seen on other networks, and virtually unheard of in prime time. I read it as self-confidence on the part of FOX — their way of thumbing their noses at the liberal pansies.

I disagree, this isn’t Fox (Broadcast) jabbing itself, it’s them jabbing Fox News viewers – as racists. It’s one thing to make fun of your sister division, as the Simpsons have many times before with FOX News (and I’ve found it funny), but another to attack the audience like this. I’m disappointed.
