Posted on October 16, 2010 at 9:38amIt’s perfectly fair for Mahr and his panel to disagree with the conclusion that can be reached ie) Muslims attacked us on 9/11 thus . However as has been mentioned before it is bizarre that b/c you don’t like the conclusion you disregard the facts. You could even say that the truth is a tad bit inconvenient for themt.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 9:37amO’Reilly had a Dr. Yasser on last night in an apparent attempt to show there are a handful of Muslims wishing to speak out against terrorism. Yasser offers that ‘their’ effort is to Americanize Muslims but, did they Frenchanize Muslims? Britainize Muslims? See for yourself exactly what they’ve done in history:

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 9:21am…..ZZZZZZZZZZZ Once again, his words still matter?! Who cares what he agrees with. His words do not matter nor do they amount to much. Go away Maher, what you say matters not!
Mr. O’Reilly got it partially right. He and most still think there’s two groups of muslims–the peaceful ones and the radical ones. Unfortunately, until the so-called ‘peaceful’ ones stand up in great numbers to denounce what their brothers do to their so-called religion (ideology) I will not believe them. As their book tells them they must kill the infidels (us and Jews) so they can rule the world. Now, here in America as a Christian nation we welcome all religions to worship. We do not seek to ‘wipe out’ any religion so Christianity may rule the world, only islam says this. islam also encourages their followers to lie for the good of the cause. I‘m not convinced there are ’good’ muslims, ‘peaceful’ muslims Mr. O’Reilly. Watch out people! Don’t fall asleep with this one!

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 8:47amPeople need to realize a few things.
First, the mosque is not a first amendment issue. It’s a private property rights issue. They own the building, they have the permits to do it, so LEGALLY they are allowed. Is it wrong…YES! Do I support it…NO!
Second, during the segment Bill was talking about why Obama has a disconnect with the people. He was using the mosque as an example. They asked why people think that way about the Mosque and he said “Because Muslims killed us on 9/11.” All of that is 100% true.
Third, no one is saying that they should be ALLOWED to build the Mosque. The people I know and hear are just saying that they shouldn’t do it.
If the Government stepped in and said they weren’t allowed, I’d stand with the Muslims and protest that decision.

own little piece of the psychological warfare tactics? Alex Jones sure seems to think the Glenn is finally coming around to “his” way of thinking and that Glenn is taking Alex Jones challenges on a lot of issues.
Alex says he has the power of discernment, and started noticing this “change” in Glenn about 6 months ago. I’m sure they sell something over the counter for that.. Gas X?

No one is saying that Muslims cannot practice their religion in the USA. Although, as a Christian man of many years I truly believe the religion has some major flaws in its doctrin. The crazy liberals cannot understand that this is our Pearl Harbor. You would not have seen ten years after Pearl Harbor a Japanese Community Center going up in Hawaii! Our people jumped from that building while it was burning them alive. Our fireman were crushed as the towers fell! And yet, you want the Muslims to build two blocks from this site. What is wrong with you people. If these liberals actually did their research on Islam and its true doctrin they would have a fit. The beating of wives, honor killings, the non-tolerance of any other religion to the point of murder. O’reilly was correct in stating that Muslims killed us on 9/11. Posted on October 16, 2010 at 6:51amWoa! To be able to truthfully answer this question, one would have to pretend, (just for a moment), that our government didn’t care about us. Sometimes the truth can be as overwhelming as, finding out someone you were married to, or had a relationship with,(that you were certain, you could trust); may have had an affair! You may have never, in a million years, believed this, without the proof. The proof, sometimes, takes a little detective work, on your part. And when you realize that it is possible, that someone you thought, loved you, IS capable of betraying you,…the thoughts of all the things that they said and displayed, as examples of caring about you are hard to erase. And sometimes you may realize that others knew of this “affair”, but they didn’t warn you; and then when you think back, there were sublte hints, you refused to acknowledge, at the time.
Report Post »Why is this? Because this means it will forever change your life as you know it! You will never see things the same again. And, if you are a fast learner, you won’t allow yourself to be caught with your “guard down” ever again.

The steel structure was softened by the fire enough to bring the whole building down at once. Firemen working on it saw that it was going to go and got out. I have read just about everything the truthers have claimed and fantasized and they can not prove any of it. Conventional demolition of the buildings would have been impossible with out detection and no building has ever been brought down with thermite. Ten years later no truther has proven their “theories”. no one has come out and admitted to any conspiracy. We were attacked by Muslim extremist and the planes brought down the buildings.

I will not condemn any religion in its entirity as extremists exist in all religions and beliefs. However, we must not forget it WAS a band of these extremists-terrorists, who DID both direct the attack on us (Usama) and carried out the attacks…these are the ones who need to be condembed by everyone of all the world, and when found delt with swiftly and decisivly.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 6:04amTo be factual, is sometimes to offend. O’Reilly was completely factual. A group of Muslims destroyed the trade center on 9/11. A sub-group of Muslims called Muslim extremists (it can also be said) bombed the trade center that horrific day. We have been in a fight with that sub-group of Muslim Extremists ever since. Where is the exagerration or misstatement here?

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 6:30amWhat I thought was particularly interesting about the panel is that they were willing to deny a fact (all agreed that it was true) simply because they did not like the conclusion that could be drawn from that fact. Some of the worst aspects of debating with liberals is that they’ll deny established facts or ignore them if it is inconvenient to their belief structure. There is no reason you couldn‘t disagree with O’Reilly on the issue of whether it is wise to build a mosque near ground zero, but why try and win the debate there when you can just be indignant at the facts he uses to support his argument. The indignation, as is evident by Behr and Goldberg’s reaction, is enough to end the debate for some and not have to deal with a challenge to their belief structure.
Additionally, it is a surprising day when I agree with Bill Maher on anything.

FORT HOOD, Texas – A soldier who recorded the terror of last year’s deadly shooting rampage in Fort Hood using his cell phone was ordered by an officer to delete both videos, a military court heard Friday.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 8:44amNot all Germans were Nazis either but they were all held complicit because they accepted what was done in their name. I see very few Muslims coming forth to deny what is taking place throughout the world in the name of Islam. As a matter of fact, the very precepts of their religion demand they carry out the jihad against ALL infidels. As a non-Muslim, that doesn‘t sound very ’moderate’ to me. If you look at Muslim behavior throughout history, they have built a mosque on the ground of conquered countries. A mosque at ground zero is NOT a display of Muslim diversity and good will as the dopey liberals in this country would have us believe. It is about putting a stick in the eye of America. We as a nation better wake up to this threat that has reared it’s ugly head. The Constitution that guarantees freedom of religion is not a suicide pact and Islam is not a religion, it is a political system that uses a type of religion to conquer and enslave mankind and it’s coming for us. Wake up America!!

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 9:22amWell said HokieDad. I don’t remember seeing a single moderate muslim march in solidarity of the victims of 9/11 in the days after 9/11. But I do remember coverage from many muslim nations, millions of them, out cheering the actions of those who carried pertertated it. U.S. muslim contributions toforeign terrorist-supporting “muslim charities” skyrocketed after 9/11. Aren‘t there any muslim charities that support poor muslims that don’t want to kill us? Didn’t think so. Islam requires that Infidels be converted, subjugated (brought under Sharia Law), enslaved or killed.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 10:18amOf course O’Reilly was right about the terrorists being Muslim. But I thought it was funny how they all mischaracterized the opposition to building the mosque. Most are not saying to take away the first amendment right. Most are saying that even though people have a right to say what they want, sometimes it’s inappropriate.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 11:42amLet’s get to the bottom of this issue; grab something to drink and settle in for a short while:
There’s a fundamental logic usually missing from this conversation. In its simplest expression it goes like this: If French extremists bombed the World Trade Center, there is little doubt the French government and the people of France would denounce the action and would be eager to establish great amounts of distance between them and the people that carried out the terrorist’s act. This would come from the fundamental bond that we share in humanity despite our cultural differences.
However, and in contrast, fundamental Muslims view the killing of other Muslims as an obligation under the sacred laws of Islam, of Shari’ah Law. The definition that makes ending human life justifiable under Shari’ah Law is starkly different from that of Judeo-Christian teachings that life on earth is sacred, cherished and therefore protected. Shari’ah Law on the other hand, rationalizes justifiable homicide as a primary deterrent in maintaining its rule of law and order of its society.
The harshness of Shari’ah Law dictates. The tenets of a religion dictate the fundamental and traditional order of Muslim societies. To further contrast, contemporary liberals, comprised of mostly atheists, such as Bill Maher, are constantly fighting the so called separation of church and state. It is a wild contradiction for Liberalism then to embrace the ideas of Shari’ah Law as it is in much part synonymous with the Muslim faith. There is no separation of church and state in Shari’ah Law. To be sympathetic to this premise is a contradiction as it is a faith in a god dictating the actions and boundaries of a government. But if liberalism were to openly denounce the Muslim faithful on these same grounds as they openly denounce Christianity and Judaism, liberals would be a primary target of the Jihad, of the Shari’ah Law, of the Muslim extremist people. But liberals will not do that. Consistently they contradict themselves in this regard.
Importantly then, this is very similar to how our liberals here in the US, those that claim to still be Judeo-Christian faithful, still support individuals like Bill Maher, who on a regular and perpetual basis denounce their faiths in their god. But liberals, the god faithful, they remain neutral on passing judgment on atheism, on Bill Maher, because they share alternative significant belief structures that are powerfully emotive. These powerful emotive structures are similar to the beliefs or the emotive structures that one would share with other human beings in god and in religion. To answer this dilemma, a substitution has been made for god as the bond that holds their coalition of Liberalism together. Maher’s devout faith in his belief, that there is no Creator, leaves him to believe only in him, his self, his ego, or some worldly possession; or some phenomenon. And then it is recognized that what liberals collectively believe in then, what they share and what illuminates their intense emotive bond, is nature and the environment.
And in this regard, in this specific context, the Muslim religious faith and coalition, is all too similar to liberalism’s faith and coalitions. Even though groups of Muslims do not agree with the violence of the current Jihad, as religious liberals don’t agree with Maher’s atheism, they still share a strong emotive bond. Muslims holding to the ideas and principles of relative peace, have a significant bond with those that are disrupting the peace, carrying out the Jihad. This strong emotive bond, based on the religion of Allah, of the god that they share, establishes the same shadow of tolerance that exist between Bill Maher, the atheist, and the liberal religious faithful that will not denounce him. Both groups, the liberal religious faithful and the peace seeking Muslims, it is interesting to note have long histories of turning their backs to heinous and immoral acts when they are perpetrated against groups that do not share their common bonding phenomenon; in these circumstances, the ends justify the means. In simple terms, it becomes not unacceptable to kill westerners, it is merely unfortunate.
Now, unfortunately and most dangerously, Liberalism in its current narcissistic state of being, believes that it has a common bond with the Muslim faith. Liberalism, through atheism, has evolved into believing that historic Judeo-Christian ambitions have not only dominated the world but have committed heinous crimes against the world. This is a bond that Liberalism is far too eager to embrace. What’s even more unfortunate is that individuals like Bill Maher ironically promote this notion even though they do not believe in Allah or the Jihad.
And because we are only seeking truth here it must be stated that in some ways Bill Maher is absolutely correct, but only to a certain point; and then his logic disintegrates. But we must be careful to understand why it disintegrates. His logic veers off into the abyss because he is atheist, which establishes a significant contradiction of his liberalism. His faith in himself, in only nature and the environment, points the blame of all the world’s problems directly at himself, of his genetic and historic self, as in he is a man, a product of mankind; but he is a man without any benevolent guidance of God, of any god. He is guided by the will of man and the self.
His logic disintegrates because it was and is mankind that has pillaged the world. God has not pillaged or set out to destroy the world; it was and still is man. It was narcissistic man that marched across Europe with shields and swords, battle axes and spears in the name of their narcissistic interpretation of God’s will to carry out selfish acts of murder, torture, rape, and enslavement. And when narcissistic man, the rulers of the ancient and evolving time, ran out of European real estate to conquer they took to the oceans in search of new worlds.
In the environment of honesty and empathy, mankind can and should acknowledge the historic relevance of religion and war, of gods and war, of death and suffering. But where Bill Maher goes off into the abyss is when he fails to make this critical distinction: He does not recognize that sects of evolving mankind hijacked the name and the Word of God many times over in the course of our history. These historical sects, to instill the intense emotive powers needed to move armies against neighboring civilizations, to wage war and to sacrifice life, to take life, these sects of mortal corrupt men needed a common and significant bond with the psychology of the general public, of the people; they needed to motivate, to manipulate, and to corrupt. The emotive power of religious faith was their answer. But God is not to blame. God’s words do not corrupt man. Man corrupts the word of God with narcissistic interpretations. Our warring history as a species can be defined by this phenomenon; but it cannot be defined by the purity and true teachings of God.
So, in this context, it is somewhat understandable why liberals such as Maher believe that under Judeo-Christian teaching that Shari’ah Law, the Muslim faithful, was but a lamb wondering peacefully in the valley of life until Christianity showed up. In other words, to Bill Maher, Judeo-Christian motivations and ambitions antagonized sects of Muslims to take up the Jihad in their own defense. Bill Maher ignores the evolution of man. In all his self proclaimed wisdom, Bill Maher ignores the fact that man, simple narcissistic man carried out the historic ill acts of Christian movements; that it was not God. It was man and the corrupt nature of Liberalism, historically.
But we can extend an olive branch to Mr. Maher; after all, he is still our brother in the realm of mankind. All he has to do is lay down his rhetorical weapons of Liberalism and evolve, to have an honest at length conversation with us, and himself. But until honesty is the foundation of your thought, Mr. Maher, your atheism aside, your personal evolution will be stunted and you will travel down the roads of those narcissistic individuals of the past, the ones that led armies against civilizations because they did not share the same bonds, the same beliefs; but that was because these leaders, they purposefully misinterpreted, corrupted and promoted the word and intent of God.
Mr. Maher, it would be in everyone’s best interest if you and your sect of mankind that is intent on wiping out Judaism and Christianity, if you would take some time to re-think your positions, to start intellectually evolving again. Being funny and sarcastic is far too easy for someone of your potential; why are you wasting your life waging war under the banner of your religion that you establish in mankind’s ego and nature? Isn’t that a contradiction to your liberal premise? Are you not simply another leader of sorts motivating populations to decimate and destroy things that you do not agree with or understand? Are you not by default then joining in the violence of Jihad as you have a common and significant bond that allows heinous things to exist in the shadows, that when they emerge to carry out their bidding you turn your back? You are allowing your intellect to be corrupted by incomplete truths and fundamental misunderstandings of the world in which we share.
Bill, you are promoting a very rudimentary understanding, perhaps narcissistically a selective understanding of the issue of building a mosque, a cultural safe house for the bond that unites peace seeking Muslims and Jihad seeking Muslins in the shadows where over 3000 human beings were put to their death.
And Mr. Maher, in your vision of America, why do we have to fear for the safety of our families if we speak these truths? All we ask Mr. Maher is for you to evolve . . . to answer these things for us, for you and your sect. We are eagerly waiting for you to catch up on the evolutionary scale of intellectual development so that we can move on . . . You could be a great communicator and a great peaceful leader even if you chose to remain an atheist; God is patient, and He has a great sense of humor.
