Osama bin Laden’s Sons Condemn U.S. for Unjust, ‘Arbitrary’ Assassination of Their Father

In a statement released to the New York Times, Osama bin Laden’s older sons have come out blasting President Obama for the Osama bin Laden raid.

Osama bin Ladens Sons Condemn U.S. for Unjust, Arbitrary Assassination of Their Father

The New York Times reports:

The adult sons of Osama bin Laden have lashed out at President Obama over their father’s death, accusing the United States of violating its basic legal principles by killing an unarmed man, shooting his family members and disposing of his body in the sea.

The statement said the family was asking why the leader of Al Qaeda “was not arrested and tried in a court of law so that truth is revealed to the people of the world.” Citing the trials of Saddam Hussein and Slobodan Milosevic, the statement questioned “the propriety of such assassination where not only international law has been blatantly violated,” but the principles of presumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial were ignored.

“We maintain that arbitrary killing is not a solution to political problems,” the statement said, adding that “justice must be seen to be done.”

According to the Times, the statement was prepared at the urging of Omar bin Laden, Osama’s fourth-born son. Omar is not only in the business of denouncing “arbitrary” U.S. violence: he has repeatedly condemned his own father’s violent methods:

“We want to remind the world that Omar bin Laden, the fourth-born son of our father, always disagreed with our father regarding any violence and always sent messages to our father, that he must change his ways and that no civilians should be attacked under any circumstances,” the statement said. “Despite the difficulty of publicly disagreeing with our father, he never hesitated to condemn any violent attacks made by anyone, and expressed sorrow for the victims of any and all attacks.”

Condemning the shooting of one of the Qaeda leader’s wives during the assault on May 2 in Abbottabad, Pakistan, the statement added: “As he condemned our father, we now condemn the president of the United States for ordering the execution of unarmed men and women.”

This entire OBL story is turning into one of the biggest clusters America has ever seen. If he’s dead, great. If not, I have the satisfaction of knowing he’ll be dead soon enough, and that’s good enough for me. However, if I could see a convincing picture of OBL’s splattered head I would sleep better at night … the Obama Administration … what a pack of maroons.

Amen to that! I am amazed these Arab pukes have the GALL to cry about how ‘unfair’ it was for us to shoot their daddy. If he had been arrested and given a trial, he would only have used it as a platform to urge still MORE of his nutcase followers to strap on the bombs and “blow up and American today!” It would have been beyond stupid and border on self-destructive to give him that opportunity. He was an international pariah with a bullseye on his back, and should have been shot on sight by anybody who saw him! The crime was that this Islamic piece of slime lived as long as he did, protected by our “friends” in Pakistan!

Sorry to agree!!! We are not murder inc, We let the world know we do not follow or obey the law. We did a great injustice not to Bin Laden but to ourselves and our enemies are emboldened with revenge. You were worried about propaganda they have all they need now. There have been hideous evil people that have been caught and tried and sentenced. We believe in the Constitution on this day but not that day. Show me the section and sub section that allows the president to order executions. You all got fooled by Barry Obama for his Presidential Campaign and you gave him the power of life and death, the powers of a King. Bin Laden would have been found guilty in a court of law and would have been executed but we should have followed the law to get the same result, we lowered ourselves to their level. We won the battle but lost the war.

No matter. It’s done and Nobama will have to face the music if ny prosecutorial crap comes his way…
BUT! I wanna see the photos!!!! I want the body paraded around the streets like our Blackwater guys were back in Iraq. I want folks to touch and poke the carcass and smear the blood on themselves ‘—hey–war is efn hell. Obama got his hands dirty, boohoo—no one watchin GAME O THRONES here? If the Lord ordered the execution, he performs the execution. NOW THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!!!!! Nobama has nothin’ —no experience in anything but affirmative action, getting what he can doing the least amount of work necessary, over and over and over. Nobama will make up for all of this by being magnanimous at the White House for a rapper who proposes worse than killing Usama.

If you truly believe that the United States acted unlawfully then since the SEALS were acting under the direct orders of the President then you should start advocating the impeachment of President Obama for it. I hope this starts a debate between us blazers, we need a serious gut check. I hope I can be convinced this was legal. We gave the nazis trials and they killed millions. Yes “Dick” Holder would have tried to screw it up, but that would hurt Barry. With this precedent why not go to gitmo with a minigun and get rid of all these bastards, it worked for Osama. Where in the constitution does it authorize the President of the United States to invade a sovereign nation without a congressional declaration of war? This was not done by a UN mandate (which is unconstitutional enough) and the actions were not carried out under the War Powers Act (again, that’s unconstitutional as well anyhow). This was an executive decision to invade a sovereign nation (boots on the ground of Pakistan) – impeach Obama for THIS (along with all of his other crimes). And before you start asking why I didn’t ask for Bush to be impeached too — I did. You‘d have to go back a long time in US history to find a president who shouldn’t have been impeached. I‘m all for OBL’s death – but not under these conditions.

I am happy to report you seem to be correct. I read about an opinion poll that showed his approval rating only improved by 1% because of the killing of Bin Laden. That was probably because of the way he wimped out with the “Islamic funeral”, “that’s not who we are” refusal to release the pix, etc. I think the pix SHOULD Have been released as a message to all these other jihad nutcases as to what awaits them (besides the 72 virgins, of course), if they target the United States or its citizens

Bin Laden and his kind have repeatedly proven themselves to be cowards who encourage others to commit ritual suicide/murder from the safety of their hidey-holes and routinely use women and children as shields when they are caught. These people are garbage, beneath contempt, and if the only way to stop their suicidal attempts to make the world ‘safe’ for Islam is to KILL THEM, then so be it. That is their choice. But we DO have a right to defend ourselves against the likes of them.

I appreciate the comments about my original post. Treaties were broken and the President has no authority regardless enemy combatant or not to execute anyone no matter how hideous they are. As far as the Military goes The Code of Military Justice does not permit executions and would be defined as a illegal and immoral order. Some said that AG Holder would screw it up, well I agree but if that were true we should not give anyone a trial because things might not go our way. Impeachment of Obama I think will not work but it needs to be made clear that we will not tolerate murder in our name because we will be the ones to pay the price not the well protected President. Congress cannot order the execution of any individual anymore then the President can. Pakistan is a nuclear power and is muddied with political troubles and terrorism and we have completely embarrassed those in power for the violation of their territory, we should all be worried now because they could do something very dangerous like giving a nuclear weapon to a terrorist to get even. We through our actions I think have made things more dangerous since 9/11. I understand the argument about 9/11 and innocent people killed and agree but law is about justice not revenge And we either believe in the law or don’t. As far as Bin Laden just think if we caught him and got all the info from him and kept him locked up like a cage animal for years instead of a quick death which he wanted.

President Obama weighed what it would mean to his reelection chances if 1) UBL got away when they knew where he was since Aug. 2010, and 2) If he captured UBL and sent him where… GITMO and the fiasco that would create with his base. The only other option he had left was to order him killed, so there you go your father had to die to help Obama’s reelection chances.

Their father was a murderer of “UNARMED” people in the Twin Towers and countless others around the world.

Their father for a moment knew the fear that so m any others felt. He was unarmed as the people he helped kill were.

      BCCRANE he the correct answer.

AMERICANSOLDIER, is this a ‘which came first the chicken or the egg question’? My husband fought and was injured after being shot down in a helicopter in Viet Nam as an officer volunteering to take pay out to soldiers on the battle field. Please do not lecture me on the evils of war because I am well aware of them. I did not chose for Osama bin Laden to kill 3,000+ innocent people in the US because of his warped ideaology, nor did I chose to go to war in Iraq or Afganistan. Am I saddened by innocent lives lost, yes I am. So please, come down off your ‘holier than thou’ pedestal before you fall and get hurt.

Do you ever wonder why we need these moslem exchange students here in the USA?

Looks like KSM got indoctrinated against us at “historically black” A&T college in North Carolina:

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalid_Sheikh_Mohammed

      Early life

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is reported to have been born in Kuwait to parents from Balochistan in Pakistan.[1] He spent some of his formative years in Kuwait, just like his nephew, Ramzi Yousef (three years his junior). He joined the Muslim Brotherhood at age sixteen.[citation needed] He returned to Pakistan soon after, and after spending some time there, went to the United States for further study.
He attended —>North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University<— and completed a degree in mechanical engineering in 1986.[21][22] The following year he went to Afghanistan, where he and his brothers (Zahed, Abed, and Aref) fought against the Soviet Union during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. (Some sources claim that Khalid was fighting in Afghanistan before he moved to the United States.) There, he was introduced to Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, of the Islamic Union Party. The 9/11 Commission Report notes on page 149 that "Sayyaf was close to Ahmed Shah Massoud, the leader of the Afghan Northern Alliance".
The 9/11 Commission Report also notes that, "By his own account, KSM's animus toward the United States stemmed not from his experiences there as a student, but rather from his violent disagreement with U.S. [..

Obama killed Bin Laden purely for political gains. He was killed in the back of the head, execution style, unarmed, together with 3 other unarmed people. The exit wound (huge) is in front, that’s why his photos are not shown.

We invaded an independent country, put the Pakistani government into impossible position and virtually ensured the Islamist victory over there. Another step closer to the Third World War against Muslims. And we did it only to increase Obama’s ratings.

Say whatever you want, but I do not feel joy or pride in such cowardly operation. Of course Bin Laden deserved it, but bullet in the back of the head of unarmed man???

Assasination of foreign leaders is still illegal in the U.S.A, I believe. Kucinich should sue to impeach Obama for another crime.

@APOLLO18 At one point in my life I was a brainwashed little sheeple that voted republican across the board. I didn’t question the motivations of politicians and just accepted the R by their name as a seal of guarantee. I enlisted thinking I was actually going to make a difference, fight for my country and defend freedom. I realized I was wrong. I was infantry, while I was never “senior enlisted” by that I assume you were or are a 1SG, I fought alongside some good men in Afghanistan.

What freedoms have we gained from these exploits? What freedoms have we lost? Put the pros and cons together, tell me you don’t see the negative outcome of this?

Or am I not a worthy enough soldier because I regard all human life valuable, not just Americans? I am deeply saddened by 9/11 and the over 3000 we lost. I am also deeply saddened at the loss of over 5,000 american soldiers. But how dare anyone just glaze over the fact that we’ve killed nearly a million civilians, injuring nearly 2 million more. Not counting the 1.5 million we killed in Iraq during the 90′s sactioning, 500,000 of which were innocent children. We play good guy around the world but who is GOOD anymore? It’s all perspective. We will always look at ourselves as good, no matter how many people we kill (as a nation).

If that makes me a bad soldier, then so be it. I’d rather be considered that then be a part of this system. No, I will not move to Cuba. I’m going to stay and fight for an America that believes
