Outspoken 15-Year-Old Is Poster Child for UK’s Radical Student Movement

Students protesting tuition hikes in London this week and countless other radical leftists have a new hero for their movement to rally around: a smug 15-year-old who isn’t afraid to share his views of the world (and everything that’s wrong with it) and to berate those who stand in his way — in this case, police.

Huffington Post reports that this young man’s “impassioned plea” was delivered at the Coalition of Resistance National Conference in Camden, U.K., at the end of November. Here’s a brief look at this friendly bunch of young radicals, including a cameo from Rev. Jesse Jackson:

Also a hero of this group is John Rees, a former member of the Socialist Workers Party who doesn’t hesitate to rile up students like the young man above. During this year’s conference Rees praised his progressive partners:

Counterfire.org, the sponsor of these YouTube videos notes that the current student protests spawn from a “neoliberal” incubator era, which they claim began in 1979:

Suddenly, as if from nowhere, a new movement bursts onto the stage of history. But it is not from nowhere. Beneath the gaze of the ruling class, the chattering classes, and their media echo-chambers, it has been forming and growing inside the incubator of the old order.

Repeatedly, in periods of relative calm, the official view is that society is harmonious and consensual. The current version of this is the oft-repeated government claim that most people ‘recognise that the cuts are unavoidable’.

But a class society based on exploitation and alienation, in which some are rich at the expense of many who are not, is never harmonious and consensual. If it is calm, it is not because the people at the bottom endorse the greed of the rich; it is because they think they are powerless to change it. But that does not alter the reality of exploitation and alienation. It does not abolish the contradictions of class society. It merely drives them underground. And there, unseen, they incubate.

Is the “coming insurrection” led by these “neoliberals” really coming, or is it already here?

Bunch of foolish children. But dangerous. We have seen this before around the world and the world is paying an enormous price for it. None wish to acknowledge that it takes Income to pay Expenses on a sustainable basis. Not borrowed money, not money stolen from others, not the destruction of capital (because when that is gone then there is no more until it can be earned again over decades and more). Any fool who thinks that there can be a further watering down of the armed forces to divert money to other purposes is blind to the clear and present dangers around the world. So sad when people privileged to receive an education so mislead the populace at large.

are you aware of the double helix? I do hope you know it is in the early stages of being mapped and traced all the way back past anitquity into the truly ancient past. It seems to clearly show the ascent of man from africa roughly 60,000 years ago and where it went from there…

here’s a link to the nat geo reseach project. you can still take part in it.
    https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/lan/en/participate.html

they send you a kit, you swab your mouth for saliva and the DNA it contains, box it up, send it back, and they’ll send you a report mapping where in AFRICA it appears your ancient, ancient ancestors came from when the human migration started 60,000ish years ago.

    I recommend you try it.

    knowledge is sexy.

More proof of schools teaching our children to purposely manipulate them. It is a well known tactic of the progressives to use propaganda on children since propaganda is less effective on rational adults. If we want to put a damper on further progressive advancement, make our public schools neutral across the board to only teach academics. But do not replace their socialist ideology with a religious ideology, they will just use the religious ideology instead. Teach your faith to your children at home where it belongs and keep it out of the hands of any teacher who WILL misuse it to manipulate our children.

Once it is neutral across the board, they can not use schools as a weapon against us.

“But a class society based on exploitation and alienation, in which some are rich at the expense of many who are not, is never harmonious and consensual.”

    1. This is 2010, not a feudal or mid Victorian England societal structure, hence modern society is in no way, shape or form based on ‘exploitation and alienation.’ To those who say that it is, I say, “Produce your proof and it had best be in the form of tangible, empirical evidence rather than some half-baked socialist ramblings.”
    2. We do not have a free market system in which “some are rich at the expense of many who are not”. In fact, I defy any of these malcontents to produce for me even ONE example of someone in modern society who has grown rich ‘at the expense of many’ or ANY, for that matter. Those who become wealthy do so because they work hard, they invest and see great return on their investments or they directly inherit from a previous generation of their family. This is not ancient Egypt, with the Pharaoh growing rich by forcing the underclass to work for him in slavery and then taking through taxation any and all monies the slaves might be paid. Neither are we like English history’s evil King Richard, taxing the poor, starving peasants to amass a fortune large enough to accommodate our lavish lifestyle.

Among intelligent and industrious societies, this kind of rhetoric had gone out by the dawn of the 20th century but, as we see here, there will always be those antisocial malcontents who remain convinced that their misfortune, far from being their own individual responsibility, is, of course, the fault of others. Believe what they will, they have ZERO right to inflict their twisted, self-pitying world view on the rest of us.

Socialism is a natural phenomenon in england just as evangelicalism is in the states.
the two are very similar in their outreach, language and goals.

“Radical Students” in england are the same as Liberty University graduates in America.

they assimilate and, with time, learn to understanding.

Here we go again. The only thing you are a butcher of is the English language. I am tired of your rabid anti-religion Christian bigotry. I have tried to avoid posting in response to you. In most of your posts your prejudice is either patently overt or smugly suggested. Your treatment of the language and your blatantly obvious bigotry leaves me feeling soiled and in need of a shower every time that I read the fetid droppings that you have left behind.

I grow weary of hearing about your wishes about having a “Godless” society when you live under the benefits of one. That’s right, I said it; the benefits of one! So, in your little socialist/anti-God/religion-less/European utopia things like the 25 million killed by Stalin, the 6 million killed by Mao, 2 million killed by Pol Pot are just dandy as these are “Good Godless Governments”? Show me a better system than here. Show me a system where you are afforded more protections than this God oriented society. If there is such a place, I will pitch in the final 10 spot to the kitty for the ticket to send you on the one-way trip. So individuals in your reckoning are reduced to a man (or group of men) having granted the boon of rights rather than as the founders referred to “the laws of nature and of nature’s God”. These “rights” then are free to be removed or trod upon because they are “State” given and can be removed at the will of the Godless “State”. Show us anywhere in history where your “Godless” society has lead to anything other than mass murder by the State and the overall misery of the people/slaves. Boot licking Buffoon.

I don‘t think I’ve ever met an american evangelical who can defeat a european socialist in a debate. (this is an observation not an endorcement)

Well let’s see idiot; I believe that evangelical is religious and socialism is a political system, dolt. It is apples and oranges, unless you would like to have an Imam argue with the socialist. At least both of those are a political system (although Islam has secondarily religious aspects.) Or perhaps you would have one of the “social justice Christians” do the arguing. Well, those types have torn too many pages out of the Holy Bible to still be something called Christian (not that one can disregard any of the pages.) Stick to the picture books mrB you might be able to sound those out.

No, I will have at you right here in front of the eyes of all. That would seem to not be to your liking. I can’t imagine why. Please show us your dialectic skills. Put the glory of your quick wit and sharp retort on display for all to marvel at. Alas, the truth is all too clear, you are afraid of appearing as the fool that you are. mrB

      Flick!

I would hate to be accused of not addressing what you have to say. Nothing is really a better defense and refutation as mrB’s own words, so without further ado I shall get down to business. (I shall reply in parentheses)

      mrB says;

      email me
(Now why would you want to scuttle into a dark corner where others can’t benefit from your concise and compelling arguments? Is it not your intention to convince?)

I’ll give you my phone number and we can talk and argue like men and not critique spelling.
(I have not in this instance critiqued your spelling; that stands on its own rickety legs. I have attacked your bullying and the fact that you wear your opinion on your shirt sleeve. I have also attacked your inability to effectively communicate ideas.)

if you want to insult me here thats fine, but lets take it up a notch and insult me in person and allow us to converse freely!!!
(You insult yourself every time that you attempt to bully others. That’s right, you’re the bully. Religion is not an overt thing in the postings here, but you make it an issue. I believe that one of the regular posters here (yeah, I know the name) has mentioned that he is a pastor and yet he only mentions religion when in proper context. You look to pick a religion based fight, and expect that others will back down. No one is keeping you from “conversing freely” right here. Oh, I see; it is you that are unable to “converse freely”, it is not that you are being prevented.)

you can post my number if hate me that much.
(Again, I request that you cut and paste where I have said anything about hate. Your empty assertions do not make it so. You troll around the board looking to offend someone, trying to engage on the subject and then you want to hide in private and “go at it mano-a-mano”. No, I want everyone to see the illiterate bully get roughed up right here on the playground.)

      i wont stand your bullying!!
      (Petulant troll.)

jesus is still dead and here we are
(Really? Again, your empty assertions do not make it so. Looks like a statement made with no other intention than to “strike back” and try to hurt. My faith is unshaken.)

you can walk away and start over again on this debate anytime, anywhere but my challenge will always remain open
(There is no “debate” when I am the only one Making and addressing points. I am left to come to the conclusion that I am the only one capable of it in this “debate”. I am questioning why I continue to toss something precious in front of a barnyard animal. (I had to obfuscate so that you couldn’t just google it.))

      Your real problem can be summed up thus;
We can be Knowledgeable with other men’s knowledge, but we cannot be wise with other men’s wisdom.

You rely totally on your ability to access a search engine. You then cut other peoples knowledge and paste it in order to cow people. Sorry, that won’t work here. You have no depth, no real knowledge of your own, no creativity, and you certainly lack anything like wisdom. You have no idea of the real meaning behind the words. They are just objects for you to pick up like any monkey and lash out with, intending nothing but hurt for others. If you are the shining example of “Godlessness” then no thanks, I don’t need any of that.

I suggest that you read Locke. He was a significant influence on the Founders (and yes, they were religious.)

      Oh, one last tidbit from the redoubtable mrB;
the bullspit you spew will always be my, and all free peoples, mortal enemy.

Is that right mrB? I guaranty that my “spew” is far closer to what the Founders had to say than any hairball you might cough up. It is you and your kind that are the acid that strikes the foundations of this Society, for it is you that stand counter to the beliefs and principles that this country was based upon. It is you that attack us. I would not have called you out if you had not begged for it.

The only real point you made is the one about the godless societies of Stalin and Mao. Other than that you have just made broad, baseless assumptions about Mr. Butcher’s character, including an ad hominem in about every sentence.

You also repeatedly claim that he hates religious people, yet where has he said that, or anything that would imply it? Sure, he’s a little condescending on these matters, but hate? Is see no evidence of hate; dislike for religion, maybe, but so what? He doesn’t like religion, what problem do you have with that; how does it affect you? You (and I) choose to believe, he doesn’t; what’s the problem?

I say it again: Quot homines, tot sententiae; suo quoque mos.

The first three comments were from a story where may of the commenters were cheering the destruction of private property because it happened to belong to muslims. The fourth is extreme, but true, in a way: there are far more Christians in this country (and in the world) than muslims, and if even a relatively small number of Christians decided that God had changed His mind about “thou shalt not kill”…well they could definitely inflict more damage than the relatively few muslims in this country.

Look, I’m not defending atheism, but I will defend anyone’s right to not believe, and not call them names or make assumptions about their character because they don’t believe. In a way, you are rather like that woman that complained about the nativity scene a few days back, arguing a sort of Christian PC. If Butcher is passionate about his atheism, then indeed he does have a moral obligation to plant doubts among believers, just as much as you and I have moral obligation to plant doubts among non-believers. This is not a bad thing.

      @Kom

I am a bit tired this evening but I will have a word with you before being done for the night.

I know where the comments were from. They just happened to be the easiest for me to lay my hands on right away. They are representative of the general attitude of the subject. It really matters not where they are from; I could have cruised “The Blaze” and found many other instances of religion hate baiting and anti-Christian bigotry. I don’t believe that this is in question.

As you well know (or should) the commandment that people quote as thou shalt not kill is in fact interpreted more correctly as “thou shall not murder”, distinctly different meanings. I might add that the likelihood of Christians tearing that out of the Holy Bible is vanishingly small.

You said “The fourth is extreme, but true, in a way”. Yes, the fact that there are more Christians in this majority Christian country is correct. On the other hand we don’t have Christians in the name of their faith sawing off head of live people with a dull knife, attempting to blow up places where 100’s if not 1000’s are gathered. It is not Christians that open up with guns or grenades on their fellow soldiers. It is Muslims/Islam that are the radicalized killers in the world today. They are the problem. Only the politically correct can’t say or admit this. Heck, we get gate raped because the TSA won’t use profiling to address the real problem.

You noted that we have some few (and I will agree it is unbecoming) Christians that have cheered for illegal/retributive type of acts on this site. At that level I tend to call it blowing off steam, do I agree with it, no. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Christians need no reminder from the likes of the subject party to not harm others. Let him send that message to the suicide bombers, and stoners of women and gays, the barbarians with dull knives, killing and maiming anything they disagree with. Let him send that message to a tragically silent “religion”; silent about the horrors that are done in the name of their “Religion of Peace” faith. There is no parallel in the modern world with Christians in this regard. Look at it this way, if we disarm, we’re dead; if the Islamist disarm, come into the modern world and quit killing people, there will be peace.

I believe that you will (upon review of everything I have written concerning the subject party) that I have not demanded that he shut up, I have, rather, called upon him to explain himself further which he has to this point not done. He merely stirs up trouble and then dances around saying nothing. You will note that I opened with statements for him to refute, but all he posted in response was gibberish. I, on the other hand, took the time to answer each and every one of his puerile comments.

He indeed has a “right” to his belief, and like the rest of us should strive not to wear it on the shirtsleeve. If he attacks people’s faith he can rely upon being called out to defend his baseless assertions. “If you ***** us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?” I have noted that I am not the only person that is finally fed up with him.

Is this more of the agreeable type of conversation that you were expecting? It is what you should expect if there is any substance in what you have to say for me to answer.

      @nobro

You are very right. I do hate religious doctrine. It is false, immoral and a threat to civilization. ALL OF IT!!!

Islam is a bastardization of Judaism and Christianity. Its a re-write using all the same tenets and ideas. You can’t refute that.

You love to connect atheism to Mao and Stalin but you don’t know your history. Atheism NEVER killed anybody in the name of ATHEISM! no inteliigent secularist would call for the death and persicution of ANYONE based on fairy tales or anything. Communism is religious in its goals to create a “perfect” society complete with the worship of a god-like leader. Jesus was a socialist after all “camel through a needle….”

YOu fail to comment on all the crimes of the 20th century caused ACTUALLY caused and endorced by religion, christian religion. From the begining of Fascism in Italy and Spain to the “ethnic cleansing” of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda and the mass killings in Rwanda. Hell, the catholic church never excommunicated any of the Nazi’s that claimed allegence to the faith! NOT ONE!!! (except for Goebles but they only did that because he married a protestant–HA)

Like I said, the march of reason is spreading, to be grandiose, and religious faith is dying. GOOD RIDDANCE! Just look at europe. but it is also happening here. you can tell by the rage and desperation currently spewing from christians like yourself. (but I do agree with you that european secularists aren’t confronting islam enough)

You, sir, and your murderous false religion is no different than islam

The “Sword of Jesus” is in your hand, ready to strike. I dare you to use. I know you want to. I know you sit at home on your fat rump reading the bible, praying for the end of days and the justification of your entire life wasted on a lie. I pity how lost you are. Show yourself for the despot you and your faith are!

      Paradise awaits.

Mr. Butcher, it would be appreciated if you would try to refrain from condescending remarks about religion and people of faith, unless it is relevant, and maybe explain why you feel the way you do about religion.

      Kom,

I’m usually very respectful towards individuals. I try to assail and lambast only ideas and beliefs. I do have info and dialectical proof to back up what I say but to express it all would take up too much space and I try to avoid the looong nobromides-esque rants and multi-posts. Besides that, I’m not the one who claims vicarious salvation via ancient human sacrifice is moral and good and I never call for anyone to be persecuted and assaulted for their thoughts/beliefs, unlike many christians here do. I’m not the one who needs to explain.

Nobromides only posts in responce to me. He never posts (at least that I have seen under that name he tried to ironicly give himself) without being prompted by me. He seems to be stalking me. I tried to debate him in private in hopes of getting him off his soapbox, calming him down and going into more detail and explanation as to why I think the way I do and to listen to him without the insults and platitudes. It was a risky move, I confess, but I DO believe in dialogue and the free-exchange of ideas. The challange remains open

But the insults persist. So I broke down on this thread. I was pissed. I insulted him. But I am man enough to offer an apology for the insults I directed at him and to halt them in exchange for a respectful debate with him over christianity/monotheism and its value, if any, to humanity in whatever format he wishes. Coupled with the secular nature of our Constitution and the fact that the US is not a “christian” nation.

I came here very sympathetic to Mr. Beck and his views on the economic problems our country faces but the more I visit this site and see the usually religious, rabid, vulgar and ignorant comments made by so many the more my distain grows for this right-wing populist movement that is currently blooming. Someone needs to speak out against it.

      Thank you again, Kom.

    WHY DO JIHADISTS HEART ANARCHISTS?

Dada means Progressive. They are communists, socialists and anarchists. They build nothing. They destroy. They want to kill God and Liberty and Art. They want to rule the world. They are not fit to live on this earth God made”–(Salvador Dali as related to Marc Rubin in 1974)

Know that the Dada Manifesto is their talking points and has seeped into their brains as a mental disorder From Dada Manifesto: .”Logic is a complication, The truth is always false…We throw heaven‘s hand into hell and hell’s hand to heaven…after the carnage we are left with the hope of a purified humanity”

After the Carnage of WW1 in Europe, Communist-Socialist-Anarchist thugs didn’t get much juice for their politic until they merged and adopted with the Dada Ant-Art movement and got the talking points and strategy to attack civilization

This video, by artist Marc Rubin, explains how they have worked people for 100 years: http://www.marcrubin.com/dada2.ivnu . Read the Dada Manifesto on the Dada Home Page Link” You will see DADA is everywhere, but we can win with ridicule, knowledge and Art which unites us.

Yet, it doesn’t dawn upon you that it is the Christian religion and Christian motivated government that made it possible to allow your freedom of thought and voice that spends most of the granted energy against those very freedoms. Admiral, you frame questions poorly, but i understand and want to make nice

America is the land of freedom. The land of ideas. Ideas and freedom are our most sacred offerings to humanity.

Freedom and Ideas that are justified with religious beliefs are not pure and are not American. Simple. Read the Constitution!!! The divine right of kings was a big turning point in our history and the enlightenment.

The threat American muslims impose, currently, on America is not as much a threat as reactionay christians pose.
You may disagree, but an 80% majority over an .5% minority does not warrent alarm.

But I don’t negate the problem of islam. it is a violent, wicked religion. just like the death-cult of christianity. all the abrahamic faiths carry this violent burden.

American, though, is an Idea. we don’t need this “old world” shyt!!

the greatest idea any state-minded folk ever thought up.

to loose sight of the fact that our wonderful country was made by thinking revolutionaries who wanted all people to live in freedom is to sign the death warrent on our founders and become the tyranny we rebelled against.

I hope I cleared the air.

They aren’t going to just sit there and take what the government gives them…hmmm. They are going to grab them by the throat and demand they give them MORE. Notice….the phrase “what the government gives us” is said over and over. It’s a sad day in the world that people (especially young people) believe other peoples’ earnings are a birthright. These same moonbats are also romanticizing their movements based on movies and old news footage they have watched. It must seem extremely exciting and build a lot of self-importance. It’s official–the ME generation is trying to take over. And their hippy counterparts are urging them on…

I’ve got an idea, DON’T LET THEM IN AT ALL…..

Why would you want to educate an enemy of western society? REFUSE them admission due to their propensity for violence. Educate ONLY those that are willing to be civil, that are willing to pay their own way, that are committed to the ideals of the western world. Why would one WANT to ensure a Jihadist, Nazi, Communist, or a Socialist was well educated and then turn them loose to maraud about the nursery?!??!? That seems INSANE to me!

One law: A citizen is herby ineligible for public financing if convicted of riot, treason, felony, criminal mischief en masse, or criminal menace en masse.

Let them eat scraps from our table, nothing more……..

Sad how they indoctrinated a 15 year old and had him on stage making an impassioned speech. Someone should look into why a naive 15 year old is made a poster child for the state of politics today. I guess there is no age limit on useful idiots. This disillusioned child is fighting for college tuition, not food. He doesn’t like the way the rioting was portrayed by the media- well guess what- don‘t riot and the media won’t be able to hen pick the best footage of you all acting like spoiled fools. Secondly, you didn’t just protest; you attacked your royalty, you lit fires, tore down trees and spray painted foul words on statues. Who is more grotesque? You or your government?

The kid has all the socialist talking points down. To bad but I can understand his plight. The English Parliament created and established generations of people on the dole. Then after squandering all of the British wealth with this dole they go after the kid’s education. The old wigged cronies are responsible for the mess they are in ie. Government health care and forever unemployment compensation.
This kid is right to fight for education, unfortunately he has been trained, and probably through the public education system, as a socialist. This training will enforce the continuance of the same problems and he some day he will be wearing the same wig.
Behold America this is all heading to theaters near you soon.

I love the knee-jerk reaction to the use of the word “liberal” without actually looking up the context of it.

“neoliberalism” is a term to describe the deregulation of western economies under Thatcher and Reagan. This wouldn’t be a protest of neoliberals, it is a protest against neoliberalism.

Why is it? A fifteen year old has a better understanding of the treachery that the Global Establishment is up to than our University educated, twighlight years political leaders that this braindead, television sedated,Twinkie addicted country has voted into office. STAND UP youth of America. Get off your obese asses and score some soccer points for your own team. Its my generations fault that things came to this. We were hopped up on MTV { back when they played music } and Ronald Reagan. This mess slipped by us until it was too late to turn off the water. Now a flood of Socialist programs is forcing your generation to swim or sink to the bottom of a life time of debt and goverment servitude. Listen to what that kid says. ” She doesnt want to go to University anymore because she doesnt want a lifetime of debt! ” Power up your Playstation Ritalin boys and girls because thats where your headed. Theres more to education than the dummied up school system has to offer you. If you dont like public school, Dont skip, thats excactly what they expect you to do. Show up, but refuse to go in. You and your friends sit in the front of the school and teach yourselves until the system catches on. Your not missing school, your embarking on a politcal science project that should be worth all A’s. If one school does this act of defiance, others will join in and the press will be your biggest weapon. Elect your own leaders, organize, develope a plan and execute. Show the world that American kids dont want to be stupid and the rest of the world will follow. America has always been a leader. Its your turn, kids, to take the lead once again.

The world is easily turned upside down when entitlements become our rights. The entitlement of a free education is fought for as if it were a right. We, as a world, need to make the clear distinction between what is an entitlement and what is a right. Life is a right, liberty is a right, the pursuit of happiness is a right. Social security is not a right, welfare is not a right, public education is not a right, health care is not a right, computers are not a right. When rights are properly enforced and upheld, they do not cost other citizens a dime- let alone 1/2 their paychecks.

Seems to me they have the same enemy as us, globalist / big government, rather than cutting, they want to hike taxes, school tuitions, the progressive globalist love this, planned this, and will do what they can to bring it the us in near future, probably soon as republicans get in office and hopefully start cutting beaurocracy, gov. pay, will the hatefilled, entitled, left supporters hit the streets hungry for blood, too bad they cant see who is actually to blame for there misfortunes, themselves and the people they support, the people who have been buying them off with false hopes, twist everything around to blame conservatives, the left will lead all that hate right to us, the conservative/republican/teaparty supporters, as they have been. These people are not so different from me, in the fact that I unfortuneatly feel this same hate at times when i read alot into the current media, the way we are urged further and further apart, we cant allow that to happen though, we have to find common interest that makes since and isnt built to further decieve us with handouts and freedoms takin away. I do not want to have to fight against my fellow americans when in reality we have the same enemy

hi again stupid, wiki couldn’t break into a paper bag, no they rely on others to provide them with their ill gotten goods, it takes a smart computer jockey to really do the hacking, but wiki doesn’t have those at their disposal. They rely on treasonists and greedy individuals to give them their information, so they can spew it all over the world. So again, you show us how stupid, and ignorant you really are. Take a hike pal, preferrably to Iran, or China or Russia, and try to spew your filth. You’d be dead in minutes.
