PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Pennsylvania’s Democratic governor says that “wackos” are taking over the Republican Party in Congress.
Gov. Ed Rendell made his observation Wednesday as he introduced Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine at an event in Philadelphia to rally Democrats for the November midterm elections.
Rendell says the GOP “is a party that’s slowly but surely being taken over by wackos“ who are ”obsessed” with President Barack Obama’s American citizenship and believe the unemployed refuse to work.
He says they also want to do away with the 14th Amendment to the Constitution to deny automatic U.S. citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants.
He adds that Democrats have “a lot to sell, but we haven’t done a good job selling it.”
Rendell is leaving office in January after two terms.

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 11:06pmIt’s so SAD…and I couldn’t be happier. When the ONLY thing they have to run on are negative attack and smear ads then they are really hurting. Of course they have plenty to buy ads with. The unions are going to pump in millions, but aren’t they always broke? Oh, that’s right, they received BILLIONS from the stimulous and other Obama bills, oh and Obama gave them 17.5% of GM, and 55% of Chrysler. Just gave them to them. Right after he stole them from the secured bond holders. So they paid it back and forward both. He’s not even discrete about the paybacks. And then there’s the nearly trillion dollars from tarp that has been much of it paid back, but instead of going to paydown the defecit as was in the original plan, they decided to use it as a slush fund. Where is it?

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 10:47pmThis will be the liberals’ angle for the upcoming elections.. ..paint all conservatives as the fringe few who waste time pondering Obama’s birthplace. If it could have been proven it would have been by now and so it’s a non-issue to me. In fact, I personally don’t know of one conservative who is chasing that carrot. But in true liberal fashion….smear and slander everyone as a ‘whacko’ even though the majority of us are not doing what he accuses us of doing. …And we certainly don‘t think that the majority of unemployed people don’t want to work.. ..we just think the stupid government is making it impossible for anyone to either want to or be able to work.

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 10:44pmThe best possible weapon to use against liberals who choose to name call and attempt to undermine a peaceful, lawful, constitutional, and necessary movement like the Tea Party Patriots who have risen in one great American voice to denounce Big Government is our silence. Walk silently when they try to get your goat as allowing them to upset you will only serve their cause of lies. Ignore the feeble minded and stick to the central messages of being Taxed Enough Already, too much Government seizure and control, Marxist laws forced upon the citizenry over their very will and consent. Let 8/28 serve as the marker towards restoring our honor. Silent and proud like a soldier who does his or her job for no accolade but because it is their job. Peaceful steps towards justice. Remember, the loudest mouths of the left can be silenced to shame because when we keep quiet in our quest, and stay focused, all that will be heard by the world are the liberals jumping up and down and crying like the little-itty-bitty babies they are and shall forever remain.

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 10:57pmSilence is Consent. As they say.
Unless the Tea Party is afraid of their arguments being torn down I see no reason as to why they should be silent in front of the opposition. Even considering, most commentators here are just preaching to themselves and follow the same logical fallacy loop that some Alex Jone’s followers fall prey to.

Posted on September 9, 2010 at 8:24amI agree. It is not worth arguing with true believers and they do not matter. You are not going to change their mind and it is a waste of time so just walk away. There are far more people that are receptive to debate and have an honest open dialog with.
If you are arguing online in a forum true believer are always a good foil to play for the larger reading audience. Let them bluster and name call, stay calm, make you questions simple and your response short. Make sure you highlight the differences (liberty vs tyranny). Don’t be snarky or sarcastic (sarcasm is the tool of the weak minded). Be straight up and always tell the truth (duh). Don’t rely on speculation, assumptions, or conspiracy. Short, to the point, facts, and point that point to your belief in the individual, freedom, and liberty. Sure they will beat you around the heads and shoulders but your real audience will see the difference and eventually ally themselves with you.

He see panic with his leaders, government and compliant media. The lefts only recourse is name calling because, basically, they have no message.
They elected a guy that has no clue. Never ran anything in his life. Really had no major accomplishments. His only course of action was to throw billions at a problem he thought big government could solve, blame Bush and read from tele-prompters. This community organizer is a flop. Oh he was a great campaigner but America sees it clearly now. The “Hope and Change” were just slogans. The hard working tax base in ‘fly over’ country have finally had enough. Most of the Politic class (D & R) do not get it yet. We the people have had enough. We have finally read for ourselves the founding documents and realize how things should be. We will vote out the Political class and put in place true representatives of the people. Obama has accomplished one thing. He has awakened the silent majority to finally get engaged again and vote. We need more people to vote for like Stephen Broden in the Texas 30th district or Alan West in the Florida 22nd district or Joe Miller in Alaska. NOW THAT GIVES THE GOP 15% OF ELECTORATE….NOW IF WE ADD FILTHY RICH, PEDOPHILES, BIBLE THUMPERS, RACISTS, THE 218 GOP MEMBERS OF CONGRESS WITH THEIR MOTHERS AND JR HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS, I AM ONLY COMING UP WITH 32% SOLID FOR GOP.
CONSIDERING THAT MOST PEOPLE IN USA HAVE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AND WANT AMERICA TO PROGRESS, MOST WILL STICK WITH DEMS.

The progressive socialists in our country will not use our tolerance against us anymore. I visited the Holocaust museum with my family while in DC and was reminded that many of the social groups in Germany said nothing as the atrocites ensued because they were not directly affected. As time passed and these other social groups fell out of favor with the Nazi socialist machine, they understood to late that you always stand for ‘truth’, never be silenced for fear of being controversial. The progressives unfounded remarks, distortions, etc. are not going to quell our resolve to place God at his rightful position of honor in our society. One has to understand that God has to be removed as the ‘architect’ of natural law and the ‘grantor’ of ‘individual rights to allow the ’state‘ to assume its role of ’end all be all’…… If this makes me a ‘freak’ in the eye of Gov. Posted on September 10, 2010 at 10:09amWell, danglerbags,
Even if we accept your figure of 32% for the GOP that still leaves you short.
Report Post »Rasmussen puts the presidents approval at 29%, and that already includes mothers and children. So that means the GOP has a 3% edge straight off. When you then consider that this country is center right, then you see the trouble your in. Then 39% left as undecided could be said to be 39% center RIGHT. A far left president is going to have a very hard time pulling the center RIGHT to the LEFT. don’t you think. This should be even more alarming when you consider that your numbers are crap and meant to be insulting to us on the right, but even if we use your figures, your in trouble. Talk about FAIL.

Posted on September 10, 2010 at 1:35pmTypical attack but nothing new there. Let us hope that their overconfidence and ignorance of what has been the silent majority remains as bad as “bags’s” math. The elections will tell all…after their court challenges of course. I’ll settle for winning the war as oppose to the battles. If that doesn’t work, then at least I can wait for the day that they abort themselves out of existence. Get everyone you know to the polls and don’t be lazy about it.
