Pakistani Actress Veena Malik Defies Muslim Cleric, Accuses Mullahs of Raping Children in Mosques

The beautiful Pakistani actress, Veena Malik, has been accused by a Muslim cleric of being immoral for appearing on an Indian reality show called “Big Boss,“ which is like our version of ”Big Brother.” In an appearance with Express News TV, she was confronted by cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi who said that she “disgraced Pakistan, as well as Islam” for appearing on the show (though he admitted to not having watched a single episode of “Big Boss”).

Nick Cohen of the Spectator reminds us that “This is no small accusation in Pakistan where Islamist death squads and their collaborators in the state intelligence service, operate at will.”

The cleric also said of Malik:

If she does not have pangs of conscience because of what she did, then I would tell her to awaken her conscience. No one in Pakistan can look at her pictures in the presence of their daughters. I don‘t think that her son will like to look at his mother’s picture in the future, in her presence or in the presence of his father or brother.

Malik‘s measured and courageous response turned the cleric’s admonitions to dust. Among many other things, Malik told him, basically, to buzz off: “There are many other things for you to deal with. There are Islamic clerics who rape the children they teach in their mosques, and so much more.”

Mufti Sahab, first, I would like to respond to all your questions. As far as Islamic religion is concerned – Islam is a vast religion. Islam also means that I am the sole provider for my five sisters and my brother, and I have paid for their education.

Also, as long as you are talking about Islam, let met tell you that you are not allowed to set eyes on me in my present condition. You should be punished in public, because charity begins at home. Clerics may look at a woman once, but if they look at her a second time, they must be punished. You deserve to be punished, because you are not allowed to look at me in this condition.

Secondly, if you want to do something for the glory of Islam, you have plenty of opportunities. What are the politicians doing? Bribery, robbery, theft, and killing in the name of Islam. There are many things to talk about. Why Veena Malik? Because Veena Malik is a woman? Because Veena Malik is a soft target for you? What has Veena Malik done? Did Veena Malki lip-lock? Did Veena Malik wear shorter clothes than what Pakistani actresses wore in India in the past? Why Veena Malik, Mufti Sahab?

There are many other things for you to deal with. There are Islamic clerics who rape the children they teach in their mosques, and so much more.

Pakistan is infamous for many reasons other than Veena Malik. Veena Malik is entertainment, and believe me, I have done 10,000 good deeds, and my people have not supported me in this. Since you have set up a court here, I demand that the court dispense justice. I am more angry with you people than you are with me. If I am held accountable by you, then you too must answer my questions.

Mufti Sahab, there are many things in your community that need to be rectified, so please correct them. Veena Malik and the entertainment industry are much further down on the list.

Here’s a Muslim woman from Pakistan–Pakistan–who has a successful career, is supporting her family, and has the courage to talk back to a cleric who clearly takes a dim view of women, telling him flat out “you are wrong.”

As Cohen writes, “If we are going to avoid a clash of civilisations, we are going to need many more like the Pakistani actress Veena Malik.”

    Not only did she defend herself, she attacked the mullahs!! I admire her courage, but I greatly fear for her life. How sad it is that, here in the US where mullahs don’t have that kind of power, most Muslim women have refused to speak out against the jihadists! Where’s THEIR courage?

      Im betting you’ll find that most organizations that are male centric will have a history of unacceptable behavior, sexual and otherwise, among the leaders. It is what some men do when they have a lot of power and no one to tell them they cant do whatever they like or make them not follow their more base thoughts. Islam, Catholicism, any kingdom or empire predating 1900, most governments post 1900, six of one, half a dozen of another. The question is do we stop it or stand idly by and allow it to happen because its happening within the organization we associate with?

      I am really tired of the propaganda that is being passed as “news” these days. A few weeks ago a HUGE pedophile ring was busted up that had well over a hundred arrests. The professions of the accused were teachers and police men… Should I keep my kids home from school now? Should the school system be torn down because of all the rapes involving teachers? Where is the damaging media expose on pedophile teachers? They would have a ton of damaging evidence if they turned their cameras in that direction.

      The fact is pedophiles will go where they can get to children and no profession that serves children is above having pedophiles lurking in their ranks.

Her defense is the same as liberal Catholics use to try to bring down the church by accusing priests of all sorts of misconduct. Christians should be so lucky to have church leaders like the Muslims have.

Probably a lot of Muslim women would like to stand up in condemning the violence of the terrorists, or prosecuting those in the mosques who do harm to children or otherwise. However the women in the Islamic nations are probably to afraid to do so, they would be beaten and stoned in the streets for speaking out and I pray for this woman as her life is regrettably now in danger for her bravery.

      Very brave woman to speak against the evils of this man and what is occurring under his watch. It could mean her life. My hope is that the exposure might somehow protect her from being harmed due to the negativity and credibility it would lend to her statement which was spot on. I wish more people would stand up whether men or women and denounce this evil activity.       Too bad she can’t apply for asylum here in the U.S. We have a muslim president who probably thinks she should be punished.

      She reminds me of that brave young woman in Mexico who volunteered to be mayor of her town, even though the town was controlled by drug cartels. Let’s pray that Veena is more successul because the young woman was eventually murdered by the cartels anyway. Islam is bloodthirsty and unforgiving, much like the Mexican cartels.

      I think I just became her no. 1 fan. She is welcomed convert to Christianity any day. She has proven she is high smart and intelligent. She shows she conducts herself with honor and will not put up with foolishness of Islam.

      Given the chance, the majority of Pakistani women would prove to be far superior in ability and intelligence than any of their male Pakistani oppressor counterparts. The males must BRAINWASH their women and children so they can continue to have it their way. God Bless this woman, she has the truth, passion, and love that truly could change the world for the better.

      Amazing, here is a young intelligent Pakistani lady has the courage to talk back to a cleric who clearly takes a dim view of women, telling him flat out “you are wrong.” This is something that I wish our politicians and media would learn. You have to respect someone who will stand up and take responsibility for their actions, unlike the cleric who try to shift his to her. Obama could learn a lot from this lady!

      mrmeowkins, this is different because right now we are talking about Islam. If you want to talk about priests start another thread. Because some priests have engaged in these activities doesn’t dismiss the Islamic Inmans. As I said, I wish our politicians had the guts this lady has shown. Now rush off to a church and discuss the issue with a priest.

      Over here in Helsinki we are a bit isolated from this whole Muslim radical stuff but we are by no means immune. We have quite a big Somalian community established here and many are young and disenfranchised. But above all Finland is famous for it’s feisty women who can send a Muslim cleric to hide in his mosque in 2 mins flat. Veena is the sort of ballsy woman we admire over here. We’d love to see her on a chat show on Finnish tv.
