Palestinian Authority Praises Coastal Road Massacre in Israel

The Palestinian Authority, billed as “moderate” in comparison to Hamas, lauded the perpetrator of the worst terrorist attack in Israeli history — the Coastal Road Massacre — in which 38 Israelis, included 13 children were murdered. The music video segments praising the massacre reportedly aired across multiple televised broadcasts marking the 47th anniversary of the Fatah faction.

Arutz Sheva brings us the details:

In 1978, Dalal Mughrabi led a terrorist cell in hijacking a tourist bus and murdering 37 [other reports say 38] Israeli civilians, including 13 children. The operation, which later became known as the Coastal Road Massacre, is regularly glorified on official PA TV, with broadcasts of two music videos honoring the terrorists — in particular, Dalal Mughrabi.

The videos, which have been translated by the media watchdog organization Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), are trotted out for PA Arab consumption several times a year.

One of the music videos describes the terrorists as “heroes… who shook the land, brought down mountains,“ and mentions how ”the coast was stormy with the glory of Dalal Mughrabi.”

Another video, broadcast three separate times, praises terrorists as having “no fear of death or the darkness of prison.”

According to Arutz, the videos seem to be staples of Fatah’s anniversary celebrations, having broadcast multiple times last year as well. The clips feature pictures of Mughrabi and her fellow terrorists sailing to the Israeli coast in rubber boats and later moving towards their intended targets.

Arutz adds:

The anniversary of the Fatah faction, headed by “moderate” PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, is celebrated each year with several days of broadcasts of live coverage of rallies, music videos, archive material and special programs.

The January 2012 edition of the official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida included the following article written by Fathi Al-Biss, glorifying Fatah’s violent history, and specifically, Mughrabi:

“The Fatah in my mind is glory; honor; sacrifice; giving; defiance; resistance; dedication of life, blood and property; altruism, humility, love, the meeting on the battlefield, respect for others… The Fatah in my mind is…the heroism of Dalal Mughrabi…The Fatah in my mind is the first bullet; the first blood; and the first echoing scream that split the skies calling for revolution, for liberty…”

    Hate is strong that mocks the song of peace on earth goodwill to men. The love of evil is very strong in this world. Why anyone would think they have the right to murder then cry they are being picked on. Whwn a people are given back their home land which is 1 to 1,000 in size to another why do these bullies seem to need more and only know how to kill and have lost all forms of love even for their own people. Who do you know would want to raise your child just so they can kill others and themselves?

    I can remember back when this “holy” war started up they told the Palestinians to get out because they were going to kill everyone and if they stayed they would be killed also. They left but none of their own people wanted them and kicked them out of their countries after they lost the war. Only Israel would allow them a place to live. Strange how our mine works if we enjoy hate? If I was out numbered 1,000 to 1 I would think someone out there would know I am the victim not the villain.

      This is in responce to THE_JERK.. whats more interesting is you not wanting to comment on THIS article but to change the subject. Who are the animals when you again refuse to talk about this..     But in a serious kinda way, this is what culture war is: we look at this and are disgusted by the “crazed Islamist” they look at us and see “the great satan.” I understand Islam, I’ve read the Koran and Hadith, it’s an indefensible religion, unless you think violence and coercion are defensible… But, nonetheless, I‘m content to let them live as they please so long as they don’t commit an act of war on our us or our allies. Then I say we, declare war, flatten the place, take their their dignity, sovereignty and anything else worth taking and leave them to their stone age ways.
