Palestinian Authority TV Airs Show Praising Hero Murderers of Fogel Family

Palestinian TV aired an interview last week with relatives of the convicted murderers of the Fogel family, who called their imprisoned kin “heroic,” Haaretz reported.

The interview was part of the weekly show “For You,” broadcast on the Palestinian Authority’s official television channel. “For You” focuses on Palestinian prisoners imprisoned in Israel.

According to Palestinian Media Watch, the interview with the mother and aunt of Hakim Awad aired on Jan. 19 and Jan. 21. Awad, along with his cousin Amjad Awad, were convicted of brutally stabbing to death five members of the Fogel family in their home in March 2011: Father Udi, mother Ruth, and children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old Hadas. The baby’s throat was slashed while she was in her crib, The Blaze previously reported. An Israeli court sentenced both Awads to five consecutive life sentences for their crimes.

In the interview, Awad’s mother referred to her son as “the apple of my eye” and praised him for “the operation.“ His aunt referred to him as ”the hero, the legend” and dedicated a brief song to him.

The show’s host added: “We, for our part, also convey our greetings to them.”

Mother of Hakim Awad: “My greetings to dear Hakim, the apple of my eye, from the village of Awarta, 17 years old, who carried out the operation in Itamar (i.e., killing of 5 Fogel family members), sentenced to 5 life sentences and another 5 years, in prison.”
Aunt of Hakim Awad: “I’m the sister of prisoner Hassan Awad and of Salah Awad; [I am] Um Habib, from the village of Awarta. My warm greetings to all the great heroic prisoners, to my brother Hassan Awad, head of the village council; to my brother Salah Awad, the heroic prisoner journalist; to the heroic, resolute prisoner, the lion, Yazid Awad, my nephew; and to my nephew Hakim Awad, the hero, the legend.”
Host: “We [PA TV], for our part, also convey our greetings to them.”
Aunt of Hakim Awad: “I dedicate this song to Hassan Awad, Yazid Awad, Hakim Awad, and Salah Awad, in prison:
‘My brother, in solitary confinement, your voice calls to me
You dare not throw down the rifle
That is what the homeland asked of me

      @4227~ I wish everyone would read the book “The Islamic Antichrist” by Joel Richardson. The evidence is overwhelming that the Antichrist is a muslim called “the Mahdi”. It will blow your mind. It compares the Bible to the Quran. As you can tell by the actions of the people in the Islamic faith (murder, lying, adultry) they can not be people of a forgiving and loving God.       This sort of despicable behavior reminds me of the operation which became known as the Lavon Affair after the Israeli defense minister Pinhas Lavon, who was forced to resign because of the incident. After being denied for 51 years, the surviving agents were in 2005 officially honored with a certificate of appreciation by the Israeli President Moshe Katzav.

      So an attempted terrorist attack upon Americans was celebrated after 50 years by the Israeli President. That’s incredible isn’t it?

      What does any of that have to do with the murder of these civilians? Were any of them involved in this affair you speak of? Or perhaps a similar one? No. They were targeted because they were Israeli Jews and not for any action they had taken. You can do your whole “Israel did that” nonsense for as long as you want but it won’t change the facts. The perpetrators did not know the identity of their victims and it is thus undeniable that they chose their target at random and without discretion.

If you are going to insist on blaming all Jews for the actions of certain corrupt politicians and then using that to excuse cold blooded of Israelis civilians then you are no better than those who propose exterminating all Muslims. Your link and video serves only to condemn the guilty yet you are using it to smear the innocent and excuse the guilty. You are advocating that laws be ignored and that people shouldn’t be held accountable for their actions. You have also advocated that people take responsibility for the actions other than their own.       Show me one SCRAP of evidence the Liberty incident was anything more than a mistake made under the fog of war. Show me images of Israelis dragging Palestinian children into the streets and executing them. Show me proof that even one thing you said is factual. And don’t give me some statistic that just lists Palestinians killed by “Israeli actions”. I want to see Israelis intentionally attacking children and other UNARMED civilians (12-year-olds with guns don’t count either). Then maybe you can explain why King Hussein of Jordan wasn’t condemned for the Black September Massacres (in which more Palestinians were murdered by Jordanians than Israel has killed). Or perhaps why almost half of the Palestinians who perished in the 1st Intifada were killed by fellow Palestinians. Then you can explain how, if Israel is intent on wiping out all Muslims, how Palestinians are multiplying faster than Israelis.
      Speaking the truth means embracing all facts not just the convenient ones. It also means not drawing conclusions without hard evidence; speculation is intentionally misleading.

      No TZION, I don’t justify or excuse murder but we all must try to understand why it is taking place in order to curb and prevent it from occuring in the future. They have a cause.       It is true that there were 500,000 Arab refugees who fled the newly formed Israel for many reasons but not exclusively because the Jews drove them out. It is also true that 700,000 Jews were forced to flee from numerous Arab countries after 1948. Today, however, there are no remaining Jewish refugees yet there are more than twice as many Palestinian refugees. This isn’t because Israel continued to drive them out over a 20 year period, it’s because the Palestinians are treated by different rules. Normally, refugee status can’t be inherited, is lost upon becoming a citizen, or is lost upon successfully resettling. Can you name a single incident of Arabs being expelled from Israel after 1949? Doubtful. Can you prove that every Arab who fled Israel as driven out? No. Why? Because many fled for other reasons. Some believed they wouldn’t be welcomed and left. Some were told that if they let the Arab armies destroy Israel they would get their land back. Some were threatened by other Arabs. And if any were driven out, it was likely due to the fact that Israel‘s forces weren’t regular soldiers trained to follow orders. It is true that Israel chose to sell of land that had been left behind simply because it had been abandoned but would you have honestly done any differently? And regardless of what happened my earlier point still stands. Some Israelis settled land that was unowned and yet the PA is insisting that they be removed and the houses they built be handed over.

      Exactly,you can’t get more cruel and brutal than stabbing small children to death,or slitting the throat of an infant in her crib. When I think of the terror and pain that poor baby, and those children went through in the last moments of their life it just breaks my hear beyond words. How anyone can compare this coldblooded,premeditated,gruesome murder with the Arab civilians dying in war,tragic as it maybe,who died largely because their homes,and in some cases even their bodies were used as human shields by terrorist gangs who were trying to murder Israeli civilians is just beyond my comprehension. Just looking at the face of the father and grandfather who lost his family just broke my heart. The murderers mother and aunt and other family members who praised this atrocity done by their evil son and nephew ought to have their thuggish asses thrown out, and never let back in Israels borders ever again.

    It’s too bad , too, that this administration’s highly touted and blindly supported “Arab Spring” has actually made the situation in the Middle East a lot worse than it was prior to that so-called revolution. Now, the Islamists and Moslem Brotherhood have taken charge. We’ll all be paying a price for supporting these throwbacks.

    Palestinians kill Israeli women and children with suicide bombs, rockets and (rarely) these kinds of operations. Israelis kill Palestinian women and children with missiles, bombs and white phosporous. I make no distinction between the two actions because the net result is the same….the murder of innocent human beings. I just can’t figure out why we have immersed ourselves neck deep into this death battle.

      How’s this for distinction? Palestinian terrorists target schools, neighborhoods, and marketplaces. Israeli soldiers target combatants and try their hardest to avoid civilian casualties. Israelis soldiers fight to protect civilians while Palestinian terrorists hide behind civilians and use them as human shields. Israelis clearly mark their military installations while Palestinians hide theirs in hospitals, schools, and residential areas.

Israel didn’t hesitate to employ terror when it was trying to become a nation. Haganah and Stern gang bombed and killed to get what they wanted. This story, while tragic on its face is disingenuous and tries to potray the Israelis as victims while the true victims are the Palestinians.

      Hamas has been caught red handed launching rockets at Israeli villages with no military presence. Hamas has blown up school buses. Hamas has used their own “citizens” (who they treat as subjects) as human shields by intentionally hiding in shelters and schools as well as the standard bullet shield. Hamas believes in the destruction of the State of Israel. And it’s not just them either. It’s Islamic Jihad, the PLO and others. They exploit their own people for power and control and money. They don’t want peace because without enemies to fight they would actually have to govern instead of just rule.
      As for your point about Jewish terrorists, let’s draw some comparisons:
      1. All of the Palestinian terrorists make a habit of primarily targeting civilians and rarely engaging with military unless attacked. Many, though not all, of the Jewish terrorists groups targeted British military forces primarily. Even the King David Hotel bombing was targeted at the British command post.
      2. The Jewish groups were never included in negotiations of treated as legitimate representatives of the Jews. Muslim terrorist groups, Palestinian or otherwise, are routinely treated as legitimate governments or political parties. Hamas became a political party, Fatah was originally the PLO terrorist organization (founded in 1963 incidentally). Why did we recognize Arafat as the Palestinian leader? He was a terrorist.

If it takes the stategic targeting of muslim civilians in order to stop their purposeful and never ending killing of babies and whole families in a war situation then let it begin. When the day comes that we are forced into that type of warfare the death toll will be collosal. But the blood will be on the hands of a people who celebrate the death of our children. What exactly do you think happened in Germany and Japan. We are no different than our ancesters. If the killing of whole families is plotted and celebrated. They will ripe what they sow. There are many examples of such warfare in the old testament.

      tzion….the way the Palestinians resist is reflective of their living conditions. I don’t blame them. When the British occupied America we resisted in the only way we could. When the zionists wanted to remove Britain from Palestine they resisted the best way they knew how. It doesn’t matter to me. I don‘t begrudge Hamas’s tactics anymore than the IDFs. I just don’t know why America is involved in that conflict when 98% of us are not Jews.

      I will assume that you are ignorant about the pillars of Islam. Jihad is jihad. War is war. Dar el-Harb will lead to a holy war. Sharia is the way and Dar el-Islam is the goal. If you are not a muslim then you are an infidel. You are a pig or a swine and so are your children. History tells us that that is exactly how they will be treated. As slaves or slaughter.
      Not because we have a political point of view or have insulted a particular muslim group or country.but because the Quran tells muslims that war -Dar el-Harb- is their duty. and all infidels are animals to be enslaved or slaughtered. The duty to separate the good muslims from the bad is not our job. Our job is to protect our families from a vicious cult called Islam. If that calls for the pounding of muslims into dust until any thought of hudna is erased from their mind then so be it. It is their choice . This infidel has had enough. 2500 new mosques in the USA since 9/11. That is a joke.

      Israel has not killed 100 times more Arabs, that’s a baldface lie. Even the most antiIsrael organizations have put the Arab death toll in the latest intifada at 5 to 6 thousand, and almost 2 thousand Israelis have died in the same time period [2000 to 2012]. Most of the dead Arabs were terrorists, or civilians who were used as human shields by terrorists trying to kill Israelis, or who were trying to protect their own thuggish asses, and some of those “innocent children”, you are talking about were terrorists themselves. Hakim Awad was 17 when he murdered the Fogel family. If he and his friend had been shot and killed while cutting through the fence in Itamar,or breaking into the Fogel home, he would have been included in the list of “innocent children” killed by Israelis. Palestinians are victims of their own hatred, their whole culture revolves around destroying another nation and people.
