Palestinian Chairman Abbas: I Will ‘Never Recognize’ a ‘Jewish State’

As support for a Palestinian state grows (especially within the U.N.), Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas isn’t holding back about his thoughts on a Jewish state. In a recent TV interview, the Palestinian leader said that he will “never recognize” a “Jewish state.”

“First of all, let me make something clear about the story of the ‘Jewish state,’” he told Dream2 TV on October 23, 2011. “They started talking to me about the ‘Jewish state’ only two years ago, discussing it with me at every opportunity, every forum I went to – Jewish or non-Jewish – asking: ‘What do you think about the Jewish state?‘ I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I will never recognize the Jewishness of the state, or a ‘Jewish state.’”

But that wasn’t all. He also commented on the recent soldier swap of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit:

“Hamas kidnapped – or rather, captured – a soldier, and managed to keep him for five years, and that is a good thing.

“We don’t deny it. On the contrary, it’s a good thing that on a small strip of land, 40 × 7 kilometers, they were able to keep him and hide him.”

You can watch the clip below courtesy of Memri:

Abbas has long rejected the idea of a Jewish state. During a 2009 speech he said “I do not accept it,” and added that “It is not my job to give a description of the state. Name yourself the Hebrew Socialist Republic — it is none of my business.”

The most recent comment is coming to light just as UNESCO — an agency of the U.N. — voted yesterday to admit the Palestinians as a full member. The U.S. subsequently pulled funding from the group.

Still, the vote could have a domino effect. On Tuesday, the group’s top envoy in Geneva said he believes that joining the U.N. agency for culture, education and science will “open the door” to joining 16 other U.N. agencies within weeks.

I suppose I should remind everyone that the Palestinian defacto government recognised Israel years ago. Abbas may or may not be able to withdraw that, depends on a number of issues, but I take this more as a personal position not the position of official Palestine.

Remember also that Abbas keeps his job by bashing Israel. Smoke. Though its entirely likely that he really doesn’t like them. The Palestinians have good reason not to.

What the muslim is really saying, as do all devout adherents to the Islamic faith, that they will not tolerate any non-muslim state. The entire planet must convert to Islam. Not even a tiny scrap of land for the non-muslims.

It is important for the Jihad that all the violence around the world be presented as local or regional conflicts being done by “lone wolfs”, “terrorists”, “disturbed individuals”, “misunderstanders of Islam”, “hijackers of the faith”, and on and on and on.

However, upon closer examination, from the rapes in Malmo, to the slaughter of nuns in Africa, from the bombings in Mumbai to the slaughter of innocents in Beslan, one discovers that in each instance the violence is being done for the sake of Allah.

The Jihad is global in scope but deceptively presented as seemingly unrelated conflicts having no relation to Islam, and, indeed, even goes so far as to present the muslims as the victims.

1967; 1973, the Muslim nations of Egypt, Seria, Morroco, Algeria, and Jordan, along with several other muslim states, tried to force the Jewish State to roll over. The Jewish State sent them back to their respective countries, with their heads between their legs, along with a very serious loss of materiel and life.
The Jewish State was prepared, and still is to live in peace. They did not start any war, but they sure as hell finished them.

Not only is it time for the UN to do the right thing and revoke its recent vote to recognize Palestinians for some unknown reason, but UNESCO continue its defunding status on top of it.

Ok Discussion over, as we have always known, Palestine never intends to allow Israel their ancestory home. Islamic leaders & zombie followers have always stated the extermination of Israel. So stop playing with these nuts, who prefer evil, murder etc. when you play with fire you eventually get burned. Stop playing with the fire, and use fire prevention to keep the world safe from the fire, as even though it may look interesting, and mesmerizing by its looks, movements, it is by nature only a destructive force. As American’s we must prevent the fires from enveloping America, Israel, the world. However the flame is lit, it is burning strong and even is in our own house. Soon the Winds from the East will inflame it into a fire storm and few in its path will survive unless we first have a back burn before it.

Actually you’re talking about maps used in the world of sanity. In the world of terrorist Islam, even in the textbooks of their schools the nation of Israel does not appear on the maps. Instead, if anything, the territory of Israel is labeled as “occupied territioruy.”

This ignores historical fact. There never was a modern stste of Israel or Palestine until the United Nations offered both groups that option in 1947. The Israelis accepted, the Palestinians never did, instead voluntarily fleeing into areas controlled by Jordan and Egypt, becoming refugees.

Three times Israel’s neighbors tried to destroy the new state, three times they failed. Finally, after the third attempt in 1967, Israel made peace with Jordan and Egypt, but the Palestinians who had not emigraterd remained homeless. Funded by Iran and others, they continue to terrorize Israel, which has given back lands and offered all kinds of concessions for recognition and peace. Unfortuinately for everyone.radical Islam cannot accept peace as long as a Jewish state called Israel exists.

And so the two map views remain – Israel a nation or Palestine the occupied. It depends on your view. Most of the world doesn’t care, but America and many in Europe do. We stand with Israel.
both honoring the commitment of 1947 and because we believe that the Jews deserve a homeland free of persecution. Many of us see the creation of the Israeli state as a fulfillment of ancient prophecies which even the Koran acknowl

There’s some fancy word shuffling going on here. The PA has long since said it recognizes Israel’s right to exist. The further stipulation that it should recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state actually originated on the Israeli side.

The Palestinians (so far) have not accepted this because it precludes the possibility that sheer demographic change might one day transform Israel into an Arab-majority country. Long term, that is what they are banking on.

That is exactly what I have been asking for decades. Even when Israel shot itself in the foot and consented to Oslo I knew it would never bring peace. It’s whole purpose by the arabs was to get Arafat into the WB, which I call Judea and Samaria as I learned in the Bible. If it isn’t obvious by now that there will never be peace in Israel as long as Jews & Christians live there someone needs their heads examined. Handy also with Obummer siding with his muslim people that Abbas can say just about anything he wants, whenever have the Palestinians or Hamas had to pay a price for their butchery? Never! So why ever would they stop terrorism. Never.

What more proof do we need, that the PLO is still the PLO?

It’s time to STOP thinking about an independent PLO state, anywhere remotely close to Israel.
This plank needs to come off the negotiating table altogether.
If they want a state inside of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, or Iran – let those countries offer it up.

The West Bank and Gaza are Israel’s now.
The Palestinians no longer exist as an independent group.
The PLO, Hamas, and Hezbollah have NO right to those lands.

The PLO started as a terror group; and, Abbas just proved that (at hart) they still are.

Rule #1 ( and this is one Israel seems to fail to recognize ) you don’t negotiate with Terrorists.
The reasons are several but simple, they: lie, will never accept anything that does not further their goals (terror and destruction), take willingness to negotiate as a sign of weakness, look only for a chance at another victory (any agreement made on their terms).

Islam is not a religion. Islam is a cult of murder, mayhem, abuse, and pedophilia. As such, it is deserving of neither our respect nor our tolerance. An islamic state is a rogue cult of islamifacists and murderers. We do not need to recognize it, we need to isolate it. If isolation is not sufficient to curb the violence of the islamic state, then we must irradicate it by whatever means necessary.
Recently, Israel discovered a 1400 year old Christian relic and announced the discovery to the world. Muslims would have videotaped its destruction for all the world to see. A very simple distinction between a religion, Judaism, and a cult, islam.

I hope it’s kept safe and away from any Islamofascists. The Muslims love death and are ready to claim those 72 virgins, but non- Muslims believe in life and want to live it freely and as peacefully as possible. At least most of us do. Agree with one correction: The Antichrist is the Mahdi. The Beast is Islam.

Further, the false prophet is the guy in Muslim eschatology who claims to be Jesus and says that he never claimed to be the Son of God, that Muhammad is the only prophet of Allah, and that the Mahdi is the messiah, Allah’s living representative of God on Earth.

I also believe the historical Caliphate was the seventh empire (seventh head of the Beast) and new Caliphate will fit be the eighth empire that was, but then did not exist, and then will return, as described in Revelation 17.

It’s the fact that their eschatology directly mirrors Christian eschatology that gives it away to me. Not just here, but also in in these places:

-The Antichrist (Mahdi) will claim to be the savior of humanity and people of all faiths will unite under his world-wide religion.
      - The Mahdi will make a seven year covenant with Israel that allows them to rebuild the Temple and reinstitute animal sacrifice, then break it and go to war against Israel at the 3 1/2 year mark.
      - The Mahdi will defile said Temple.
      - They share the interpretation of Ya‘juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog).

I could go on but I don’t have the time.
