Palin Responds to Politico Article: Reporter is a ‘Punk’

On Friday, Sarah Palin appeared on Glenn Beck’s radio program to talk about a recent Politico article calling her “high-maintenance.” The article also said Beck canceled Palin’s appearance on his show last fall because he was annoyed with her frequent schedule changes.

Beck responded last night by calling the assertion a lie and demanding Politico retract the story. Palin responded today by calling Politico reporter Jonathan Martin a “Punk.”

The clip includes Beck and his fellow hosts light-heartedly poking fun at Palin for her reported high-maintenance persona:

Finally! It’s about time we got into the trenches with these lib drones. It’s also about time we called them out on all this crap they manufacture on the other side of the moon with Soros funded propaganda. They use these 1st grade Jedi mind tricks in a feeble attempt to suppress the truth. I think once November midterms roll around we are going to actually see this sort of destructive behavior amp up a little. If we expose the real players now it will be much easier for more Americans to enjoy the game. Unlike Willie, Obama has no desire to slow the big wheel of government take- overs. I want to see more coverage of what real Socialism looks like… Sort of shock therapy for the “non” believers. Let’s get some people over there in all those Euro social protests and expose who is doing the real damage to the property and dignity of those citizens. My guess is you will find it’s more radical 20 somethings that have been lobotomized by big labor unions and cradle to grave governments. Nothing new here for you to look at. @FREEDOMOFSPEECH -
The problem with blanketly calling this free speech and stating it should be protected is that in doing so, it removes the responsibility of practicing the free speech. I am free to say an F-18 Hornet jet can fly 8000 miles per hour, and nobody would care whether it was true or not because I am not an “expert” in the field of military aviation. Reporters have an implicit responsibility to maintain integrity in their journalistic endeavours because they are the “experts” in reporting news. When they are not honest, they violate that implicit trust – hence, they do not responsibly exercise their rights to free speech and free press. That‘s why Beck’s argument against the MSM is so right and theirs against him is so not right – Beck practices integrity and the MSM doesn’t. Lies should be censored if those who perpetrate them are not held to account for the responsibility of their actions.

Lying has become so common nowadays, and I for one am sick of it. If someone lies to me in my personal or business dealings I give them one chance to explain/apologize, and if they scew that up I become a ghost to them. Yeah I know its harsh, but I’m tired of being lied to. Its one huge reason why I am so hard on politicians from both parties. If a Republican lies to me I treat them forever more as if they are a liberal/progressive.

However, reporters who knowingly report falsehoods aren’t generally well-respected, except by operations like Daily Kos, HuffPo, or Politico. The media tries to discredit and portray Sarah Palin as “FAR RIGHT.“ or ”extreme”
But in reality ,Sarah Palin is mainstream ;almost every position she has is supported by the MAJORITY of America.

Sarah Palin is standing with the majority of Americans who feel the same way she does on healtcare , abortion, smaller government , lower taxes , energy independence and securing the border.

Sarah Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office.Prior her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.

If you want to talk about her tenure in AK, you may want to consider her balanced budgets. She left the state with an $8 billion rainy day fund and a $1 billion education fund and a budget smaller than her predecessor’s. She broke up the Corrupt B*stards Club of Republican politicians and oil company execs than ran Alaska and reset the system used for reimbursing Alaska for the use of its resources. Then there’s the gas pipeline that was talked about for decades and she got passed. How did she do it? She worked with democrats against some Republican opposition, which dispels the myth that she’s some kind of right wing nut case.

Sarah Palin’s successful efforts to stop the cronyism and reform the energy business in Alaska were so impressive Kay Cashman, the publisher and executive editor of Petroleum News, wrote the book entitled: “Sarah Takes On Big Oil” . (http://tinyurl.com/ygkeo2f)
This is a must read for anyone who wants to understand the leadership Sarah Palin has exhibited in the area of reforming government and industry!!

Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.

While Governor Palin has a history of being a reformer and taking on powerful interests for the benefit of ordinary people, Obama’s history is that of a tool of special interests, be they unions, trial lawyers, ACORN, or Wall Street.
