Palin Reveals on Facebook: ‘Fox Canceled All My’ Wednesday Night Appearances

Is something amiss between former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News? On Wednesday, the 2008 vice-presidential nominee took to her Facebook page, where she told fans that the media outlet canceled all of her network appearances last night. While cancellations are anything but rare in the television industry — especially considering the fluid nature of news — this particular case is quite odd.

First and foremost, Wisconsin congressman and vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan delivered one of the most anticipated speeches at the Republican National Convention last night. Knowing that this was unfolding, it’s curious that Fox would choose not to bring Palin in for analysis. After all, she was the 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate last election cycle and she delivered a convention speech that was widely revered.
All things considered, having Palin weigh in would have made logistical sense. But, for some reason, the network decided against it. In her Facebook post announcing that she wouldn’t be making any Wednesday appearances on Fox, Palin said that she was “sorry” for the decision.
“I’m sorry Fox canceled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight,” she wrote.
As noted in her opening sentence, Palin’s main focus in making the announcement was placed upon Sen. McCain, seeing as he was the 2008 presidential candidate and an individual for whom she has claimed to have deep respect.
She continued, writing, “Granted, our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot. I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches.”
Here’s a screen shot of the Facebook status, below:
While Palin didn‘t note any bad blood in Fox’s decision to cut her, the network’s choice was certainly odd, especially considering that the former governor has had a contract with the outlet since 2010 and is a frequent guest on its news and commentary programs. After being “liked” and shared by tens of thousands of people, Palin’s post spawned a response from Fox, which also adds to the intrique.
Executive vice president of programming, Bill Shine, sent Mediaite the following note, explaining why Palin was absent from Wednesday night’s coverage: “Our plans changed based on the fact that the RNC condensed the schedule of speeches from four nights to three. We look forward to having Governor Palin back as soon as we can.”
Not being one to waste an opportunity to nab an interview, CNN’s Piers Morgan tweeted Palin, writing, “If Fox don’t want you tonight @SarahPalinUSA - come on my show. Be happy to talk about @SenJohnMcCain with you.” That invitation, unfortunately for Morgan, didn’t pan out.

The economic downturn began two years before Bush left office. Up until that point, the economy steadily grew despite the impacts of 9/11. That two year mark just happens to coincide with the Democrats taking control of Congress. Oh, and that fantastic economy we had under Clinton just happened to coincide with a Republican-controlled Congress. Yep, when Republicans control the budget, the economy roars and when Democrats control it, it declines. In the latest case, it declines sharply.

I voted for ALL the Bushes (Bush sr once (puked and then voted for Ross Perot) and voted for Bush Jr TWICE because Gore/Keery were a bit worse and I voted for Jeb Bush.
The GOP KEEPS RIGGING the primaries for RINOs to win and then belittling, scaring and smooching up to GOP voters who are NOT RINOs to vote for their CRAPPY candidates.
I want to jump ship again out of the RINO GOP progressive boat that cheated in the primaries and gave us ANOTHER PROGRESSIVE this time called Mitt Romney. If ROmney wins, it will be two back to back non-Christians in the White House.
Every time I think my fear of a 2nd Obama term overcomes my disgust at voting for ANOTHER PROGRESSIVE RINO GOP loser like Romney, then Romney pulls a bone headed stunt and reminds everyone who is NOT a RINO all the RINOs that were shoved down our throats int he past by parading them at the convention.

I think you mis-interpreted what Sarah was saying regarding her remark “war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot.”
I am pretty sure she was referring to his five years in a North Vietnamese POW camp. He endured incredible torcher. The North Vietnamese did offer him an “early out” (which was for propaganda purposes because Johns father was an Admiral in the United States Navy). However, John refused to take the early out. His stance was, “I don’t leave until we ALL leave”.
That is the “much more harm” that he went through.

Don’t just skim over this, it’s not very long, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out!!!
The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.
At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH
Remember the day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Unemployment… to this

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 1:43pmJohn McCain is still a member of the Republican Party; as is Sarah Palin. No, they didn’t prevail in 2008, but that wasn‘t entirely their fault but it certainly wasn’t Palin’s. Going into the RNC Convention back then it was ONLY Palin that drew viewers to what would have been a very lackluster event. What hurt McCain after the convention was his cowardice in not letting Palin loose, instead trying at every turn to shut her up.
Now as we enter the final months of this presidential election cycle, It will be Ryan who will either make or break the outcome. Considering his performance last night (did anyone else notice the strange sounds emenating from him between sentences or while the applause was dying down), at the microphone he’s no Sarah Palin. Sure, he hit on some good points that got the audience on their feet, but nothing like the VP nominee four years ago.
We’ll have to wait and see how Romney fares tonight – it’s his turn to get this campaign on the right track. And while he might think the best choice will be to be nice and civil, Obama won‘t respond in kind because he can’t run on his record. It SHOULD be a blood bath – if it’s not, then Romney/Ryan lose.

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 8:44amI will miss Sarah .. I still say if she wants to make an impact get elected to the Senate and be a thorn in their behind. And as a Senator she sure will be on TV more. Heck I’d rather listen tp her than McCain.

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 8:57amI am really starting to wonder what direction fox is heading.Who better to comment on a vice presidential candidate then Sarah Palin. She jump started MCcains campaign.Wonder if that self centered ego maniac O’Reilly had any thing to do with it .Kinky Freedmen once told O’Reilly that his butt must be sore from balancing him self on the proverbial fence. He was never on again. When before he was on at least once a week.O‘Reilly doesn’t like Palin . Generally when the top dog on Fox dosen’t like you,its not surpriseing that you soon disappear.Bill is an elitiest dilettante .He dosen’t realize ,he is the fool to be suffered !
