Palin Taken Aback at the Hate in Her Documentary’s Opening

When Sarah Palin showed up in Pella, IA to attend a screening of her own documentary, “The Undefeated,” she hadn’t seen all the footage beforehand. So when the film opened with people calling her “slutty,“ ”scary,“ and a ”bit**,” she was a little taken aback.

“This is the first that I’ve seen much of that. It kind of takes you back,” she told The Hollywood Reporter (THR). “It makes you want to reach out to some of these folks and say, What’s your problem? And what was the problem? And what is the problem?”

THR describes the graphic opening:

The movie begins with Sen. John McCain introducing his running mate, then quickly cuts to the Hollywood sign, and the music turns ominous. A TV news anchor says, “Hollywood has a new favorite pastime: taking aim at Sarah Palin.”

Then the celebrity montage begins: Damon likens Palin to a “really bad Disney movie” and says she’s “really scary” and Letterman calls her ”slutty,” and the discourse descends in to the filthy from there. Maher calls her a “dumb twat” on his TV show, Madonna screams “Sarah [Fu**ing] Palin” while on stage, and comedians use graphic, severely bleeped language to describe how Palin gave birth to a “retard.” One entertainer after another calls Palin a “slut” or a “[bit**]” or describes the intensity with which they “hate her.”

When the montage is through, the screen goes dark and a Bible verse comes into focus: “By their fruits ye shall know them.”

While at the premier, Palin tried hard once again to disspell rumors that she is going to run for president, dismissing a comment from her daughter Bristol that she’d already made up her mind.

Bristol said during a television interview earlier Tuesday with Fox News that her mother had definitely made a decision about whether to run, but that “there are some things that we talk about at the kitchen table that stay at the kitchen table.”

Sarah Palin said the remark was either taken out of context or inaccurate. She said deciding to run for president is a “tough decision” and she’s not ready to announce her intentions.

Maybe she allowed it so that when Michelle Bachmann gets bashed and hammered politically, They can show this movie and maybe sheeps for the left will understand how unfair this liberal game is.     I believe that the left thinks because Glenn Beck is off Fox News they are now free to be even more abusive than ever. I wish Glenn‘s GBTV launch wasn’t so far off because it looks like the hateful rhetoric may actually turn to violence and the only one they were afraid of was Glenn. Thank God for radio, because even FNC doesn’t scare them any more.
    These Hollywood “stars” have a pack mentality and it is shockingly vicious and crude ! By comparison, Sarah is incredibly classy and brave.

    These people spew hate at her, and have nothing with which to back it up. She’s comitted no crimes, violtaed no ethics policies, or even as far as I know ever even received a parking ticket. Yet for some reason, they call her names, attack her family (including and especially her children), and make her out to be some sort of stupid demon.
    I’m no Palin supporter. I simply think there are better, more qualified candidates already running (including Bachman, Cain, and Santorum….hopefully Perry!). If given the choice between her and Obama (or pretty much anyone and Obama), she would of course have my support.

    Someone from the left please tell us all what it is she‘s done other than speak out against Obama and his policies that warrants the treatment she’s been given?

    run or not, she’s helped us all wake up to the real issues we face. I did not realize the vehemence against her either. It’s stuff I try not to focus on or listen to…… that had to be hard to hear. I wanna dismiss it as foolishness, but it’s part of a well orchestrated plan.       Aaron…… Sara Palin receives death threats on a daily basis. She (and her entire family) has endured unrelenting and constant verbal attacks over the past two years. You really believe she does not understand? What is probably breath-taking for her (and for most of us as well) is the irrational human capacity for pure, unadulterated, hatred.       1. Unattractive female progs who are so ugly that they are invisible and hate it when another girl gets attention.
      2. Washed up “comedians” who run in the real hamster and tea bag circles trying to court people into thinking they are funny thus boosting their incomes.
      3. Uneducated or totally indoctrinated students/teachers or union workers.

      Her mom is doing a lot of work to make that money, when you’re as hated and reviled as Sarah Palin, just to get up and go out and face it every day, (Let alone her, “in your face”-ing it.) Is doing battle on the same battlefield that Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, Daniel and Nathaniel Webster, and their Confederates, did, in order that you’d have the freedom to make your opinions known, and be able to grow up without having troops bulleted (living, if you’re public school educated.) in your house, because the king of England has so ordained that your family is to provide food and housing for them.
      America may not be the only nation to love TEA but it was the first to have a TEAPARTY which was put on by the “common folk” at the expense of His Majesty’s Royal Army and Navy.

      Sarah can speak well.
      Her faults are: she tries to be “The Small Town Girl Next-door” and use words like Golly and I can see Alaska from my house. (ok, she didn’t say that second one, but it is pretty damn funny)

      She needs to work on answering questions. I don’t think she interviews well. Any time an interview goes outside Republican talking points, she struggles and it usually ends in embarrassment.

      For example: “What magazines do you read?” That question absolutely threw her off her game. She needs to be able mix “small talk” with political topics when interviewing News Magazine shows like 60 Minutes.

What the truth is, is that the media and people that believe what the media harps on, comments as you just did, that begin to spread these idea’s. Funny how no one comments on Obama’s remarks about seeing and talking to a soldier and awarding the medal of honor POSTHUMOUSLY, (after one’s death), to him? How do you see and speak to someone after they are dead? Or how about Joe Biden asking a person with no ability to walk to stand up? If we were honest we would know which of these people are making ridiculous comments and which may have been caught of guard. Alex Baldwin calling his own 11 year old daughter a pig is now using that same civil tone against Michelle Bachman. Bill Maher making fun of Bristol Palin. Olberman….urgh…..NY times calling Glenn Beck a creature…Breitbart was surrounded by a out of control mob. WHY DO WE ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE. I’m glad that the Palin’s are working hard to restore this country and some are SO offended because they are actually making money. Working hard making money….what a novel idea. These flash mobs all over our country are a direct result of the liberal thinking in Hollywood & they will get empowered and get worse. I can do and say whatever I want and there are no consequences, but there are. I WILL NOT EVER support any of them with my dollars.
      We need people like Sarah with the balls to rebuild this country.

      Seeing and hearing bitter hatred directed at you [and your family] on an incident by incident basis is difficult but watching it all compiled together would take anyone aback.

      How do words like “slutty – scary – bit** – dumb tw** – ******” even fit into a political discussion or opinion?

      People, even in hollywood, should be saying Words like “Debt Ceiling – $xx trillion debt – 3 wars – terrorism – the economy – constitution – issues [both progressive & conservative] etc etc”.

      “By their fruits ye shall know them.” – is true even if you are a non-believer.

      Translates to “By their behaviour you will know their character & integrity”

      The days of common courtesy, basic respect for others (even if you disagree) and rational discussion are gone….the days of hateful & violent rhetoric are here. You can see it everywhere…yes, even here on the Blaze.

      Sadly, that hatred & violence is extending to physical actions and is now spilling into our streets. And it will get worse.

      With very few exceptions, the America I knew & loved is gone.

      i don’t want sarah palin to develop a so called acceptable speech pattern, using the so called “schooled” descriptive words. sarah palin is a real person, who is intelligent, brave, and no matter her “style” is far more qualified than the so called front runner. she doesn’t hesitate to answer “the” question. she is direct, and doesn’t beat around the bushes…..it appears that so called conservatives, and/or republicans are caught up the “way” things should look. i am tired of shiney, smooth speakers or talk in circles (but eloquently) and lead straight to hell….i.e.: barack hussain obama.

      The name calling goes both ways. Just read a couple of the comments sections here and see all the names for Obama that show up, and for his family. Nastiness is the norm in US politics these days and neither side can claim to be above it. Palin’s seems worse because we are conditioned to women being treated with more civility, and so some of us are more offended by the words used to describe her, but I am repulsed on a daily basis with the language used here describing our president.

      I love Sarah – always have…agree with those that say one of the main reasons we do is bc she IS the “real girl next door” type, not “polished” politician that you can’t trust, honest, proven she loves her country enough to go “rogue”. Think it was good for her to see the first part, bc that’s the sad reality and she needs to know it. “What’s the problem?” she asks – they can’t/won’t tell you Sarah. The “problems” are she’s a very passionate, threatening, “real” Christian/Consv. who the women hate bc she’s not a lib woman, good looking, has a handsome husband and appears happy all the time.       they choose the LARGEST ‘Churches’ to attend to garner the largest following they can

      they are guided by their ambition, not by God or by faith.

      Then, they turn around and ATTACK conservatives for speaking about faith.

      May God Almighty have mercy on their souls, and show them the error of their ways.

      BUT, I GUARAN-DARN-TEE YOU… we need HONEST ‘men’ like her, much more than we need professional politicians or lawyers. We have no shortage of Presidential advisors. NO President is an island – Presidents have all the advice they need.
      What we NEED are GREAT EXECUTIVES. ‘Men” who are willing to make tough decisions, who will dig through the crap for the kernels of truth, who are UNWILLING to compromise themselves for political or financial gain!!!       I think this is a manufactured story.
      1) There were no crowds protesting the opening, all the insulting language was compiled of historical footage Sara must have been aware of.
      2) Cannot imagine she was not provided an advance screening – She is the Executive Producer! (if the executive producer, who is responsible for the final product, does not know what is in the opening sequence, I smell a Rat)

      This sounds like more of the “poor Sarah” and “poor Bristol” campaign that has been underway since the Giffords shooting. I love the Palins but they are turning themselves into Hollywood PR agent “puppets.”

When she asked about what magazines, by that time sarah knew what Coric was doing and sarah was flip on purpose. That three day interview was highly edited. Why do you think Obumer only did live short interviews with news outlets he had in his pocket? the one that asked Biden about Marxism were told never again by Obumer.

      He doesn‘t have the perceptive ability to see that he’s expending a lot of time and effort in a pursuit that is getting him no where.

      Sarah can speak well.
      Her faults are: she tries to be “The Small Town Girl Next-door” and use words like Golly and I can see Alaska from my house. (ok, she didn’t say that second one, but it is pretty damn funny)

      She needs to work on answering questions. I don’t think she interviews well. Any time an interview goes outside Republican talking points, she struggles and it usually ends in embarrassment.

      For example: “What magazines do you read?” That question absolutely threw her off her game. She needs to be able mix “small talk” with political topics when interviewing News Magazine shows like 60 Minutes.

      Get a clue – that was a setup question and you should try listening to one of the more recent interviews, you would not have an doubt about her stand on national or global issues. Who cares about the magazines she reads any way – what do you read?

      I’m sure some are just what you say they are, no doubt.

      But many do get paid to keep throwing crap at the wall, with the hope that some will stick.

      And sadly, our public school system has turned out way to many “Blank canvases” for that crap to stick to.

      So we must remain vigilant in spreading the truth. They had a big head start on us, and we are playing catch-up.

      AARON in Polk County–The Katie Couric interview is so history. Sarah explained in her book that she was perturbed by the questions and saw that they were just trying to make fun of her, so she gave snippy answers. She now is sorry that she did that. But, as it is hindsight is great. She has not had a “sarcastic” questioning since then. She wants to pick and choose who she interviews with. I might add that Michelle Bachmann should, too. :)

      I am very excited and anxious to see this movie. The first screening Sarah saw a couple of months ago didn’t have that graphic beginning. That graphic beginning is not what might end up in the theaters because the language is so vile, so raw, it would not get a GP rating. I am not sure if they are releasing an unrated version or not for the theaters. The nearest city, of the 8, where it is premiering on 7/15 is over 300 miles away from me. So I was very excited to see this today:

      It never ceases to amaze me how some people (Beck and Palin) go out and give speeches, including hate speech and talking points, but they don’t seem to realize that people hear them, and a whole lot of people don’t like what they hear, especially when their speech is all about tearing down a well-liked President of the United States, with nothing but a pack of lies and demagoguery.

      Maybe if folks like Palin in Beck THOUGHT more about what they were saying, and listen to themselves sometimes, learning that millions of American people don‘t care for Hate Speech wouldn’t come as such a surprise.
      And THESE are the folks who claim THEY are listending to us? Obviously, they’re not even listening to themselves.

      We know who they are afraid of, they told us. Let me return the kindness. Let me tell them who to be afraid of. ME and the millions of voters who plan to extract“ payment in full”, after the election. We need to make sure the MSM never has the unchecked power it currently has. We need to pass libel laws that will protect reputations unfairly tarnished, and seriously punish indefensible character assination. As this happens we should make clear examples, go for maxium penalties & revoke spectrum “gifts” from networks that don’t get it.

      First of all, the quote attributed to Sarah Palin is, “I can see Russia from my house.” In fact, you can see Russia from some places in Alaska, though it was a rhetorical comment by Sarah Palin.

      As to the answer to Katy Courics ridiculous question regarding governor Palins reading habits, not only was it a rude question, but one of the stupidest questions ever asked in an interview except for the question posted to Bill Clinto regarding his choice of underwear, “boxers or briefs.“ I had almost forgotten the most famous ”itelligent” question asked by Barbara Walters, If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?”

      as to Sarah Palins interview abilities, perhaps you should watch her interviews with sean hannity and Bill O’Reilly, these were not puff ball interviews.

He gets paid about 12 cents for every post that he is saving to move out of his mother’s basement before he turns 30.

      The people who over-react to Sarah Palin reminds me of a scene in “1984”. The subjects of Oceania were required to attend “Two Minutes of Hate” during “Hate Week”. When everyone was assembled, Big Brother would lead the demonstration against the non-existant enemy, Emmanuel Goldstein.
