Hi Daze! Hope you had a good night! This is America, the land of opportunity. The lady is in demand. What can I tell you. She donates a lot of her time. Power to her! I would love to go around the country speaking up for my country. We have get our country back on track. We need to speak up for what we believe in. I admire what she is saying. Are seriously happy about the huge debt and having bills being rammed down our throats by legislators who can’t or won,t read them? Yes, you go Sarah. The American people are listening and will make our views known on Nov.2nd.

Hi Roberja. I did have a good night, thanks for asking. Hope you had the same. I agree…more money and power to her. This is, afterall, the land of opprtunity. Celebrity, however, and governance require drastically different skill sets. I would love to see her on that bus forever…speaking in every burg and junction in this great land. I think we all would benefit from that….in so many different ways.

Don‘t let the liberal media tell you Sarah hasn’t got what it takes to run the country.
While Governor of Alaska Sarah accomplished what I doubt anyone has ever done before…
She took on big oil and won!
She went to war against cronyism and she reformed the energy business of the state. Check out the book by Kay Cashman, the publisher and editor of Pertroleum News, “Sarah Takes On Big Oil”.
Sarah Palin is a competent chief executive by anyone’s standards.

Why not get paid for appearing on Fox and Friends, instead of appearing for free as an elected official (see Tim Pawlenty, Boby Jindahl, Haley Barbour etc. etc. etc.)?. I’m sorry, but this is disturbing me. Sarah left the governor’s office to save her state thousands of dollars that she had to spend defending herself over insane and stupid lawsuits from ill-informed progressives. which, by the way, she won. Democracts see all conservative women as “mean girls” (Maureen Dowd). Sarah doesn’t need me to defend her.

Ok Roberja. That was certainly the story at the time, and everyone is welcome to believe it without challenge. There is, of course, the millions of dollars that she has earned in the interim, that would otherwise not have been possible without the most convenient and timely of resignations. It is not outside of the realm of plausability that she abdicated her responsibilities for that specific purpose. All I am saying is that the later reason is every bit as likely as the former…..and a heck of a lot more profitable.

Thanks to the current administration, America is no longer the benchmark for the free world. HillyDilly hasn’t helped us globally, either. It’s time to reign in our borders, put a bounty on parasite illegals, bring home our troops and begin to protect our homeland or we’ll all be required to learn Chinese as the official language, or become helpless and unprotected targets for middle east liberal extremists.

      13th Generation American:
I found this posted by somebody and thought it would address your point. She didn’t leave the office in disgrace but left it with grace.

Sarah Palin was Governor of Alaska for 2 1/2 years (including 3 legislative sessions ; there are 4 legislative sessions) before she was forced to RESIGN due to frivolous ethics complaints, the prospect of facing personal bankruptcy, and the fact that her state could not be governed effectively anymore due to the amount of time her administration was spending in fighting the ethics complaints. All of this thanks to her opponents trying to destroy her personally and politically.
Sarah was the target. She knew that in order to protect the state from any futher damage, she had to step aside.
Sarah didn’t “quit”; she reloaded in order to fight for what is right on a fairer battlefield.
She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people ( saving tax money and time) and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)
Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts.
She promised that she would “effect positive change outside of Government”, and she has most definitely done that.
She has been able to speak more boldly for both Alaska and all Americans for the conservative principles this country was founded on now that she is outside of office and without the concern of a possible ethics violation been thrown at her.

      Thanks to whomever wrote this.

Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts

In an article Sarah Palin said:
“I said, ‘Enough. Political adversaries and their political friends in the media will not destroy my State, my administration, nor my family. Enough.’ I knew if I didn’t play their game any longer, they could not win. I would not retreat, I would instead reload, and I would fight for what is right from a different plane.”

Sarah Palin resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state , and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues. She wasn’t able to effectively fulfill her role as Governor, so she passed the reins onto someone who didn’t have to be concerned that if he sneezed in the Lower 48, an ethics complaint would be thrown at him.
Palin’s entire administration was paralized by those frivolous complaints, only an idiot wouldnt be able to see or admit that.

She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.
Sarah had to step down for the better of her state and it was the honorable thing to do.
She promised that she would “effect positive change outside of Government”, and she has most definitely done that.
Sarah has been able to speak more boldly for both Alaska and all Americans for the conservative principles this country was founded on now that she is outside of office and without the concern of a possible ethics violation been thrown at her.
Sarah Palin told us all why she resigned when she resigned. If some people still don’t get it, well, that’s their problem

I don’t think Obama understands the United States. When I was in the Navy on the high seas and came across another ship, we never dipped our flag. This was a show of force and respect for the United Staes. We do not bow to any country or any person. The military warriors who defended this great country against enemies foreign and domestic set the standard. I am a retired veteran who has been in the middle east and I never bowed to anyone. I am sure the spineless libs who never went into harms way will surely come out of the woodwork and justify why Obama has to apologize for our poor behavior. How about he apologize to the Japanese who killed thousands of Americans, or the French, God knows the USA had nothing to do with saving their sorry asses in WW2, or apologize to the Germans for liberating the concentration camps.

The two major parties have structured the election process so that they totally control the game. When did this happen? After Governor George Wallace received 13% of the vote plus about 55 electoral votes. Perot ran and received 19% but ZERO electoral votes. We old, battered troups are tired of you younger folks trying to reinvent the wheel and NOT taking seriously our experience. Please don’t make the same mistakes we did.

      prodigy,

You are dead-on-target. Tea-Party folks are willing to give the GOP one more chance, but if they go back to their RINO ways and acting more like Democrats than Republicans, then they are finished. It kills some people that a third party would even have half a chance with our present day system, but there has never been quite a movement like the Tea-Party movement. The Tea-Party changes everything and our country will be better off for it.

And for those naysayers that tell you a 3rd party has no chance, blah, blah, blah, go do a quick search on the Green Party growth. If the other side is willing to dump their powerful democrat party in large numbers, we patriots should be willing to toss the Republicans for going back on their word.

‘We the people’ have our eyes wide open now, so all political hucksters need to beware.

In my humble opinion, if the job of President has become so complex that it cannot be reasonably fulfilled by a principled citizen of better-than-average intelligence, then the Presidency has taken on too much responsibility, and should be pared back to its proper, constitutionally-authorized purview. In fact, the same could be said of the Congress. Abolishing two-thirds of the unnecessary, bloated, inefficient, unconstitutional bureaus, commissions, czars and departments should return the Executive Branch to a state wherein it should be manageable by any ethical, principled citizen, and therefore it should be trivial for someone like Sarah Palin.

Sarah may not be the most gifted orator in the universe, but her heart is in exactly the right place; she reminds me a great deal of Ronald Reagan.

Many in the conservative or from the right chat rooms were going to stay home and not vote rather than vote for McCain. He was a RINO, and he refused to expose Obama and the people he associated with, even when he had the door opened for him, re: “If you want to know who I am, take a look at the people I surround myself with”
The only reason most of them even voted was because Sarah Palin was on the ticket, and after they voted said they voted for Sarah Palin.
The left doesn’t know what to do with her. She exasperates them because of one reason, she reminds them of Ronald Reagan.
She has the same ability as he did. She can take it to the people and connect with them.

These same people are not going to vote for the lesser of two evils again. We’ve had enough of that.
IF the results of the election elect Republicans as the polls are now indicating, those newly elected need to know they are on PROBATION. If they refuse to listen to the will of the people like this current Congress has done, they will be dumped!

Yes, let’s not blame Bush. But history will. Seven years into his Presidency, a full year before President took office, the US economy collapsed. We fell into the “Great Recession.”

With Bush’s unpaid tax cuts (which created zero jobs, despite the right wing conventional wisdom about tax cut for the rich), and a discretionary war with Iraq (sold to the American public as a requirement to prevent Iraq using utterly nonexistent nuclear and chemical weapons) the deficit skyrocketed. You may love Bush, but historians already rate Bush as one of the worst presidents in US history and it’s hard to see how that will improve.

Face the facts folks, when seven years of President’s policies lead to the worst economic collapse since the Great Depressions, a year before he left office, you have to believe in time travel to blame the economy on the next President.

And what are Republicans advocating? More tax cuts, cuts that will increase the deficit to four trillion bucks. So much for their professed interest in reducing the deficit. Tax cuts didn’t increase job creation under Bush, so why should they now? And if you are worried about the deficit, how do you think tax cuts are going to help? As far as cutting spending, have you heard a single Republican say what they’re going to cut? If you have, please post it here.

Oh no, the cowboy again. Well folks, if we cut spending and lower taxes(which I support), how many people are going to be unemployed. If we eliminate those wasteful goverment jobs, where are all those college kids going to work? We are making our country a country full of managers. We don’t have people that know how to do it, just manage it. China/India and others are making alot of our products. They depend on our managers to sell them. Soon they will figure out that they(the producer) can sell them (to Brazil or anyone else) just like we can without the U.S. markup. We need to bring our production HOME. This will give our people jobs. Sure they won’t make millions and live high on the hog, but they’ll keep food on the table, a car to drive, money to spend and live there life as full as they can make it. We need to quit sending our money overseas to support other nations. We are in trouble ourselfs.I realize that stopping the flow of money to these countries will make them real mad, but we have no choice. WE are unemployed. To hell with this global economy for now. We need to get our house in order first. I’m sorry, my horse is shaking her head, she thinks I’m nuts. AMERICA BRING OUR JOBS HOME!!!!!

      - He did “stupid things”. What were those? I’d like to point out that although Democrates had majorities in the current environment -filibusters of anything the President want- you need 60% of the Senate vote to pass legislation, not the “majority rule” our Founders envisioned.
-Little people. Actually that’s one distinction between liberals and conservatives. Do we want a government based on what is best for the zillionairs (no antitrust laws, no EPA or OSHA to prevent companies to maximize profits by putting toxins in our rivers, or employers who disregard worker safety) or a government that supports the average worker, the average American.

Sarah Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office.Prior her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.

If you want to talk about her tenure in AK, you may want to consider her balanced budgets. She left the state with an $8 billion rainy day fund and a $1 billion education fund and a budget smaller than her predecessor’s. She broke up the Corrupt B*stards Club of Republican politicians and oil company execs than ran Alaska and reset the system used for reimbursing Alaska for the use of its resources. Then there’s the gas pipeline that was talked about for decades and she got passed. How did she do it? She worked with democrats against some Republican opposition, which dispels the myth that she’s some kind of right wing nut case.

      To jzs,

You fool. Knowing about Marx’s (and add any and all commie leaders since) stupid philosophy is in my blood-line, literally!

Before my Father died he completed a family tree of sorts. It was something he worked on for years at the University level. There were times that he made it mandatory (for grade points) to add one person to his family tree by each student in his charge. It just so happens I have a copy of that family tree taped to my wall right above my PC, I do this to remind me everyday of my life what we are up against. Anyway, each name on the tree are relatives of my father, and of course mine, that had been murdered or starved to death due to Marxist philosophy and by the brutish rulers that adopted it in one form or another. He made his students add to this tree because they had to spend months researching for small threads of evidence, but in the process they learned volumes about how dangerous the Marxist philosophy is. Researching this was not an easy task when you consider that many official records were never kept (on purpose). But my Father and his students did have one thing working in their favor, the University he taught at was once under Soviet control.

Last count of relatives killed on the tree… 6,013. Keep in mind that’s just on my Fathers side of the family. My Mother being of Ukraine descent could add to that number dramatically, but she, unlike my Father, never wanted to know.

I have posted this here before, but am going to do so again just for you… From a little known player in the Communist Revolution:

“We asked for freedom of the press, thought, and civil liberties in the past because we were in the opposition and needed these liberties to conquer. Now that we have conquered, there is no longer any need for such civil liberties.”
      -Bukharin, 1917

If you support Marxism in any form, then you support the actions taken by Bukharin and the savages that murdered millions in the name of Marxism. Marxism is a political philosophy of EVIL!
