Palin to Hannity: ‘Enough is Enough With the Lies About Gingrich’

During an appearance on “Hannity’s America,“ former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin defended GOP contender Newt Gingrich against what she calls the ”vicious” lies leveled against the former House Speaker by members of his own party.
While Palin has yet to officially endorse Gingrich, nor any one candidate, she told host Sean Hannity that she is keeping the process going to determine “who is best able to defend our republic.“ She said that process should reveal ”who has been sharpened and shaped through the school of hard knocks the most.”
Palin maintained that Republicans need a “big dog” to defeat Barack Obama in 2012.
Palin ceded that she would “not whine about the viciousness” as that goes with the territory, but “what I will call people on is when they choose to lie about a candidate.”
“Enough is enough with the lies about Newt Gingrich.”

What she did say was that the nominating process must go on. Makes great sense to me. We can not afford to let Romney[(dear Willard, a Progressive out of the early 1900's had a similar weird handle -Woodrow), also had another Progressive in 2008, with not such a weird name, John], who is being anointed by the establishment to be the Republican Party nominee fro President without a fight, and by dragging on the nominating process by voting for Newt, it is just possible that either Santorum may continue to gain some traction, or that a potential candidate, who could curry favor as well as be able to garner sufficient votes based upon his, or her integrity, character, resourcefulness, and capabilities would come out of the woods, secure the nomination, and defeat Barack Hussein Obama in the general election.
We are in a situation where we can no longer kick the can down the road and be a witness to “the one(little “o”) capturing a second term with the hopes and aspirations of resurrecting our country in 2016. If we lose this one, we pretty much lose our country. There is a song and an old saying, “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”, and if you think what Obama has done thus far and how bad it has been, and should he gain that second term, well, you ain’t seen nothin yet.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/01/on-sarah-palins-facebook-page-a-revolt-against-newt-gingrich/252176/
When Newt Gingrich proclaimed in early December that he would be the GOP nominee, I argued that his success would doom the Tea Party. How could the movement survive a standard-bearer who once favored bank bailouts, No Child Left Behind, an individual mandate in health care, a guest-worker program, the costly prescription-drug benefit, and the nomination of Harriet Miers? Or a politician who lobbied for Freddie Mac? Tea Partiers once pledged that if they had their way, the GOP would never again have as its champion a federal-government-enlarging, entitlement-expanding Bush Republican, nor a career politician who sells influence to D.C. insiders. Elevating such a man would split the coalition’s earnest reformers from its tribal partisans.
As ever, Sarah Palin failed to heed my advice. In South Carolina, she urged voters to cast a ballot for the former House Speaker. And on her Facebook page Friday, she attacked his critics in “the GOP establishment” for employing against him the always dreaded “tactics of the left.”

Question was what would Newt get for beating Obama in a debate. Answer was Mitt’s a crazy Mormon….. Other point was almost all people are fools, having the other question answered the way it was proves that. If you do things from the federal level all states could be forced to do gay marriage or have abortions legal (different but the courts made it so). Or a nation wide gun ban. Yes I know Paul guys he has it right on near everything and if it was 1910 I would vote for him, but it’s 2012 and we have over 80years of screwing up the world so now most dangerous countries hate us, we cant just walk away. (A) who can defeat Obama
Real Clear Politics Average Jan 5 – Jan 30 — Obama 51.7 Newt 39.3 —- Obama +12.4
Real Clear Politics Average Jan 5 – Jan 28 — Obama 47.7 Paul 42.3 —- Obama +5.4
Facts are facts, you are wrong.
(B) who will govern the most conservatively
Do you really even want to go there? Voting records speak for themselves. Paul’s record reflects liberty and states’ rights. Newt is pathetic, for heaven’s sake he voting to start the dept. of education under Jimmy Carter, the very bureaucracy he rails against now. A knife in Reagan’s back don’t you think? The man is a statist and a political opportunist who has zero principle as shown by his record.
(C) who has laid out the most clear and specific vision to govern this nation toward peace and prosperity.
The clear and specific vision to govern this nation toward peace and prosperity was created in September 17, 1787 and is called the Constitution but Newt and people like him have been stomping on it for years. “Ron Paul still remembers the U.S. Constitution and he knows it by heart. And believes in it. You can’t say that about Barack Obama or any of the other Republican candidates. There are the candidates and then there is Ron Paul. He stands alone.”-Doug Wead

I agree with Christhefarmer about his thoughts on Ron Paul.
I REALLY want to get behind Ron Paul in this election, but I (and many others) are having a hard time dealing with his instant world withdrawal tendencies and I cannot get behind his belief that Islam is only a threat to us because of interventionist policies. They believe it is MANDATED by God that every living person who rejects Islam is an infidel deserving death, and every government that doesnt fully embrace sharia law must be destroyed. They even apply that violent standard against other Islamists who don’t subscribe to their “brand” of Islam. so it’s foolish to think that ANY change in policy would change their minds about killing us and destroying our republic. I believe If Dr. Paul began to address this situation in a way that demonstrates his willingness to consider the possibility that he could be wrong about the Islamic caliphate movement and the threats embodied in that movement, and a plan for a measured withdrawal of interventionist policies both politically and militarily, he would see a tidal wave of support in polls and in financial support for his campaign nearly overnight.

As to Romney not being a conservative, of the 5 most critical problems facing our country: (1) a bloated and overreaching federal government, (2) a broken economy, (3) illegal immigration, (4) the War on Terror, and (5) China – he has consistently been the most conservative of any of the candidates on the last three issues (as Ann C. would point out). And, does anyone in their right mind not believe that Romney is the most qualified and capable to solve the first two.
And Romney care? – there are probably as many similarities between our Constitution and the Communist Manefesto as there are between Obamacare and Romneycare. Just what is your solution to keep people from freeloading on the system by not buying insurance and then going to the emergency ward when they need medical care – care that tax payers and those being responsible who purchase or acquire their own insurance ultimately pay for? (My plan would be to only provide life saving care and nothing more to those who have no insurance or cannot pay, and have the debt follow the person getting the care for the rest of their life, if necessary, until the debt is paid, including garnishing wages and restricting any government benefits until the debt is eliminated – but some will say this is too harsh.)

He will never get the chance to run against Obama…..He is in 4th place in a 4 man race. Hows that workin’ for ya? What about his publication printing out Anti Semitic and Racist columns for 10 years and Ron Paul claiming he didn’t know about it. If he can’t keep up with a publication with his name on it…….how could anyone trust him to run a country. And why does Ron Paul load bills that are destined to pass, with pork for his district…..then vote against the bill (as if he‘s against the money he’s about to receive when the bill passes) Makes people think he’s against certain spending bills while reaping the benefits when the bill passes anyway. Hypocritical? I think so.

Mitt Romney is NOT a liberal progressive.
I know GB talks about progressivism a whole lot, and none of us want that, but sheesh! Calling Romney a liberal progressive is character assassination of the highest order.
Has Romney been a pure conservative to the greatest degree possible? Of course not. But that does not mean he is just a chip off the ol’ block of Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, or Nancy Pelosi…not in the least!
He’s a conservative Republican, and he’s definitely more conservative than John McCain ever was.
I’m sick of the mis-characterization of Romney. He’s a good man, great family values, excellent work ethic, God-fearing and faithful in his beliefs, and an economic heavyweight.
Tell me you don‘t like Romney’s healthcare mandate. Fine. Tell me you don‘t like that he’s a Mormon. Ok, whatever, at least you’re honest. Tell me you think family pets shouldn’t ride on station wagons on 1980s family vacations. Good for you. But DON‘T tell me that he’s a liberal progressive, because you’re a liar if you do!

At least on the surface, Newt is the only hope of the Conservatives, despite what Glenn says; they ALL have baggage! The bottom line is: Who will try to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. That sure as hell won’t be Romney who is responsible for the MODEL for Obamacare, the largest assault on American Freedom since the Gun Control Act of 1968 or most of the New Deal under Roosevelt.
Face it, America: We weeded out all the good guys except for Santorum, and most of you aren’t supporting him. So what’s left? Newt, with baggage and a history we don’t like, but sees the future and supports the Constitution as written (perhaps he repents?) or the GOP “Old Guard” favorite, Romney who is on RECORD of supporting the Court over parents on abortion, favoring Gun Control, and other Democrat Party favorites.

Wake up America while we still have a chance to stop the madness. Our country is being slowly destroyed and the main Media are not informing us with Truth.
Newt has the big bold Conservative ideas going forward that are needed for all Americans to have the opportunity to prosper. And guided by our basic Constitutional Freedoms intact, he alone can do effective combat with the current administration and win the battle for all Americans. He did it in the past and has the knowledge and history to do it again.
I remember the 80′s, 90′s & subsequent years. I followed it all very closely and can tell truth from false statements that have been made about him. He accomplished Positive results for the people. The Progressives are loud but have Wrong ideas and policies. They and the Washington Establishment are very afraid of Newt. Santorum is not afraid to stand up for Conservative principles and is due credit for not fallling for the vile rhetoric of the left. Romney is on his way out because he spent an exhorbitant amount of money on Negativity and hasn’t convinced most people that he is Conservative enough, by the positions he has taken on most issues. He flipped when it was convenient for him to do so. A lot of folks will be surprised at the way the GOP campaign is about to reshape itself !!

Posted on January 31, 2012 at 12:45amThe progressive clip that is circulating leaves a whole lot of history out. Conservatives of the time like Jack Kemp often referring to themselves as Progressive Conservatives. Beck is just as guilty as the the liberals who re-wrote history concerning our founders. Beck is deliberately leaving large portions of Newts Conservative history out of the story so he can sell his end of the world buy gold paranoia.
Remember: Delay, Boehner and Freedomworks very own Dick Armey launched a coup against Newt to take back the house from him after trumping up 84 failed ethic violations against Newt. We all know how that worked out for us with Delay and then under Boehner’s leadership, Congress undid all the Conservative reform under Newt’s watch while sending Republicans into a spending spree. Dick Armey ran off to become a major lobbyist and then later to try and claim the Tea Party as his very own. Connect those dots Beck and you’ll see where you wrong and maybe the rest of your listeners will see who is feeding you this crap as Armey continues tries to co-opt the Tea Party!

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 10:53pmI’ve always liked her, but I’m getting real tired of being lectured to by someone who cannot even begin to form a proper sentence in the English language. Sometimes it’s like listening to Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson fumble around for three or four syllable words to impress people with.

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 10:59pm@oldwhiteguy…Agreed. I find it interesting. Rush Limbaugh is actually for the first time I have ever seen flummoxed. He started off not really liking Newt….but…at least Rush is being fair in explaining that the establishment is doing everything they can to take out Newt right now. Rush is pretty much spot on…and I think it‘s indicative that we all remember that Newt was a defender of Ronald Reagan and it’s a big lie from the establishment that Newt was not. I am on the border of whether or not to vote for Romney if he is the candidate. It seems to me Obamma or Robomney lite. They are the same. Which also is quite telling with respect to John Boehner and the Republican Party. Socialist heavy or Socialist light? You pick.

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 10:44pmRomney has been our Nominee since the second week in November 2008 because it’s His Turn. That‘s how the GOP works and the Tea Party hasn’t changed a damn thing. All you Blazers who spout that the end is nigh unless Paul (or Cain or Santorum or Whomeverthehell) is elected in 2012, I await the execution of your Escape Plans. I will not, however, hold my breath.
