On Monday night, Sarah Palin appeared on Sean Hannity’s TV show to talk about her book and a presidential run. That naturally led to the topic of the media and Palin’s previous interview with Katie Couric. When Hannity asked if she would ever do another Couric sit-down, Palin responded, “no,” but also added much more colorful language. The question-and-answer starts at about 8:30 below:

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 10:48amIf she is so tough then she should go back on with katie and make mincemeat out of her. Why be afraid – “waste of time” is about as lame of an excuse as her excuse for quitting the governorship.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 3:07pmQuality journalists have quality ratings, Katie Couric’s ratings are in the dump because she sucks. It is a waste of time for anyone to be seen with Katie Couric. Sarah only needs to go on the highest rated shows, the majority of Americans will see her there. If Sarah were doing charity work, I would say sure give Couric a little help.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:49am~ If Palin wants to stop the restoration of this country dead in it’s tracks, all she has to do is run for President. I like her and I like her family. I like the fact she gives the finger to the Republican establishment and really love that she drives Progressives nuts when they even see her. But I don’t trust her to be my President. We need someone with the Constitutional knowledge of Newt or Dr. Paul, The economic sense of Trump or (he lost my vote at socialized medicine) Romney, the ability to articulate common sense and the importance of God like Beck…and the balls of Chris Christie. And I don’t have that kind of confidence in her. You are going to to get plenty Tea Party grandmas to vote for her…but 30 something Libertarians like myself just don’t see her as the next George Washington. And we need a man or woman of THAT caliber to save this country.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:29amFrom what I’ve observed, though I don’t have a TV, is the liberals will interupt someone just as they’re explaining their position well as they are not really interested in truth, but rather winning. So why subject yourself to that and risk being humiliated. If she says something on Fox, all the liberal stations will have to report it word for word, though their editorials will be negative.
Report Post »PatriotDaze
Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:44amIf she says something on FOX, only the FOX viewers will see it. The liberal networks aren’t required to report anything…..much less word for word. Since you don’t have a TV, i’ll let you know that there is NOT currently a daily Palin synopsis on any station…..other than FOX. She already ‘has’ the FOX viewer. She needs to demonstrate the ability to convert independents or she’s toast. The only way to do that is to go where the independents are, and that requires interviews with people who work for other Acronyms.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:24amThe only way journalism will clean itself up is if it loses ratings because of their lack of actions. The newly elected Conservatives need to stay away from the networks that dished them and stick with those that give fair and balanced reporting (also newspapers). The almighty dollar and ratings are the only things these people understand! Conservatives, stick together and form a pact, your constituents continue to back you; you will never change Katie’s mind so treat her like she has the plague, stay away!
Report Post »PatriotDaze
Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:38amGMa, your strategy is sound, with one glaring exception: The newly elected Conservatives, and those that will campaign for seats/White House in 2012, MUST have the independent votes to be victorious. Independents, by and large, are exclusively ‘locked into’ nether liberal or conservative media. They are as likely to watch Beck as they are Couric. If Sarah (or Huckabee/Romney/Pawlenty/Daniels/et.al) doesn’t (or can’t) do Couric or a reasonable facsimile thereof, she can’t win the independents and fails. Again.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 9:05amMakes alot of sense, maybe there is a way of “dishing” their agenda and putting it on point. I see no reason to be there if the only points made are the negative ones the left wants heard. The interview Sarah Palin had still rings in my ears. I think if the Independents want to be informed about a candidate they will go anywhere they need to for info but they need a fair and balanced interview. That goes for candidates on both sides – I think that is what people are looking for.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 1:39pmME, not all the time but I hope when interviewing candidates (or have debates) for 2012 they will get all points and not just the ones that make one person or the other look bad, or good, for that matter.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:15amKatie Couric is a socialist cockroach and I completely agree with Sarah, why waste her time with a biased inidividual like Couric who has forgotten what honest journalism is about and instead will find a way to muddy clear waters. Everybody I know thinks Katie Couric would not make a good pimple on Sarah’s backside. She is merely another socialist clone most likely paid by George Soros. We don’t hate her, we just want her to go away. Far away…

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 9:48amSarah doesn‘t waste her valuable time with Libtarrrds in the MSM like Kattie Curach as she’s on a mission to do just what Abe Lincoln did in 1860. He and she both needed time to start and fund a Indy party for a run at the Whitehouse. I wrote about this very thing back on July 4th 2009 when Sarah announced she was resigning as AK governor… see http://www.get-in2.com/news.htm

The attacks on Palin have been so hideous all along they are deathly afraid of something with this woman. I think the Globalist lose if we follow the Palin timeline whether she is Prez or VP, etc. and their visions of grandeur are foiled. Let`s go for THAT !!!!!!

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 11:13amLet’s be honest here. Palin hasn‘t and won’t be interviewed by anyone outside the puffball interviews at FOX. Sure you can say that‘s because they’re all biased, but you can more credibly argue it’s because her own words would betray her ignorance.
Question: can you give me a single position she’s taken on anything? She wants tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans, but what is she going to cut to offset the $800 billion loss of revenue that causes? It’s so nice she says “let’s get some common sense conservative solutions” to every single question she’s asked, but it’s harder when you actually have to make decisions.
And sure, quitting the Governorship is a GOOD thing. At least the polls suggest Alaskans agree, although not for the reasons posted here.
