Part 2 of Fox’s Soros Expose: Why’s He Spending $48 Million on the Media?

Last week, Fox published part one in a two-part series on George Soros’ tentacles within the media. Earlier, we learned he has ties to over 30 media outlets. Today, in part two, Fox looks at why he’s spending $48 million funding the media:
It’s a scene journalists dream about – a group of coworkers toasting a Pulitzer Prize. For the team at investigative start-up ProPublica, it was the second time their fellow professionals recognized their work for journalism’s top honor.
For George Soros and ProPublica’s other liberal backers, it was again proof that a strategy of funding journalism was a powerful way to influence the American public.
It’s a strategy that Soros has been deploying extensively in media both in the United States and abroad. Since 2003, Soros has spent more than $48 million funding media properties, including the infrastructure of news – journalism schools, investigative journalism and even industry organizations.
And that number is an understatement. It is gleaned from tax forms, news stories and reporting. But Soros funds foundations that fund other foundations in turn, like the Tides Foundation, which then make their own donations. A complete accounting is almost impossible because a media component is part of so many Soros-funded operations.
This information is part of an upcoming report by the Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking into George Soros and his influence on the media.It turns out that Soros’ influence doesn’t just include connections to top mainstream news organizations such as NBC, ABC, The New York Times and Washington Post. It’s bought him connections to the underpinnings of the news business. The Columbia Journalism Review, which bills itself as “a watchdog and a friend of the press in all its forms,” lists several investigative reporting projects funded by one of Soros foundations.
The “News Frontier Database” includes seven different investigative reporting projects funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute. Along with ProPublica, there are the Center for Public Integrity, the Center for Investigative Reporting and New Orleans’ The Lens. The Columbia School of Journalism, which operates CJR, has received at least $600,000 from Soros, as well.
Imagine if conservative media punching bags David and Charles Koch had this many connections to journalists. Even if the Kochs could find journalists willing to support conservative media (doubtful), they would be skewered by the left.

Because, he who controls the message control the conversation and Soros believes that most people believe what they read and are conditioned that if it was written up in a well-known newspaper it must be the truth.
There was a day when that premise use to work, but now a day the public is very astute about how the media tries to manipulate them and thus are more sceptical and now search out a general consensus from many outlets before they accept these creative stories.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia owns 7% of the shares for News Corp. He bought the shares when Rupert Murdock was having some problems. Prince Alwaleed funded part of the Mosque at ground zero. Remember when Glenn Beck was going on and on about the Muslim Brotherhood forming a new caliphate and destroying the West?
News Corp did alot to support Glenn Beck but the advertisers (or lack of them) and the shareholders won out.

Some of Disney’s full length movies (mostly cartoon) disturb me but I would not write off all of Disney for their cartoon movies.

If you think the government controlling things is bad, see what would happen if big government were dismantled and the richest people and corporations ran everything. It would be a nightmare. I’m not in favor of huge government, but I don’t understand those of you on here that think everything would be better with NO regulations and NO taxes, just PURE capitalism, then complain when a guy with lots of money does with it as he pleases. To mean it meant expect a national medical plan and a lessened role in Iraq/Afghanistan with a much softened foreign policy. I expected higher taxes. I expected more Bush style TARP programs. I expected cuts to military spending. Am I happy? Not at all, but I accept that he is in office until at least 2012 and my only method of change is voting. I do not think he will take down this country. I think he has likely extended the economic problems, but he might have softened the bottom.

Problem with soros and his socialism is it takes away American freedom. It isn’t about socialism or capitalism,America is about freedom and that is what makes it great. I suspect sense you see the world with alot of “grey areas” that you live with an open mind. It seems far to open and has fallen to the dark side or socialism.
If you lose your freedom and want it back it won’t happen, not for you and not for your kids. Capitalism is the powerhouse of freedom and socialism is the cancer that kills freedom.

As a young teen George Soros helped send many to the gas chambers though he himself is of Jewish descent, he is quoted as saying it was the best time of his life. Soros loves no one, he values only those who can help him help himself, he is a megalomaniac and a narcissist,. He uses people, and when he has achieved his goals he abondons them, there is no other lower form of humanity than GEORGE SOROS.

The media has had a left bias for a lot longer than Soros has been tampering. He is just fertilizing the already rich and fruitful socialistic garden that is our lame stream media. Dont let FOXnews off of the hook either, blind materialism is just as big a culprit in our society as anything else and in that, FOXnews is wholely invested.

Academia is following close behind. I just started a multicultural education class for my teacher certification, the textbooks read like the communist manifesto. Social justice, anti-capitalism, democratic egalitarianism, anti-white, anti-male….unreal. And that’s just the first 2 chapters…I started it Monday!! I am seriously starting to understand why some people just completely drop out of society. If I didn‘t have a wife and kids I swear I’d become a monk…..I can barely function in the face of so much evil…..NOTW.
