Passenger Steals $238,000 By Crawling Through Airplane Bathroom

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: A man walks into an airplane bathroom, tears it apart, sneaks into the cargo hold, and leaves with $238,000. It happened, police say.

The incident occurred on a recent inter-Caribbean flight, and it has the makings of an elaborately planned heist. Foxnews.com reports:

Police are seeking a man who complained he felt ill and spent most of the journey in the lavatory. In fact, he was removing panels to gain access to the hold in the rear of the plane.

Shortly before landing, the unnamed man — who was traveling with a woman who appeared concerned about his health — asked a flight attendant for an ambulance to meet him on the tarmac, witnesses said.

When the ambulance arrived, the man said he felt suddenly better and walked out of the airport without having to go through the normal security checks and disappeared, police said.

The woman was reportedly questioned but did not have any of the missing money.

If we can get Poirot on this case, it can be solved. Is he still alive. Maybe he had a son or daughter.
We need a great detedtive on this case to solce it and weite a book and make a movie.
We have a kaly anthony case in Orlando, Florida that is going to rake in millions when this case is over.

Aren’t cargo holds on planes unpressuized? Was this flight a wave skimmer? Did he use his bare hands or did he bring a screw driver with him that the TSA missed when they did the cavity search. If so was it a regular head or phillips head? Was the take in cash or money orders or travelers checks or gold from Goldline? If you get lots of other peopls money through incredible ingenuity is it still a crime? Seems like a paltry sum for the effort and risk – I mean we talk in billions and trillions these days 1 trillion = thousand billion…..but I digress….

Unlike DC Cooper this guy has some things going against him. I highly suspect he will be caught. He didn’t parachute out of the plane. He road an Ambulance and I am sure the EMP and other passengers will be able to provide a good description. Also he had a female co-conspiracier. The police have talked with her and know who she is. Putting a trace or trail on her will eventually lead to the guy. Maybe it will make for a book and someday a good movie. Unfortunately the title “Catch-Me-If-You-Can” has already been used.

Hopefully the currency wasn’t US dollars, or before you know it the $238,000 will be worth about $.37. Brilliant heist though. The guy had to be an airframe & powerplant tech or just a brilliant researcher, and to know the protocol on the airport security re: the ambulance disception…. Bloody brilliant! I hope he gets away with it…No one was hurt, screw the airlines. He’s just too damn good.

I have to agree with you, there should be more details released about this matter; with it just being an inside job, or is there more not being let out, such as if more than just the money had up and gone missing? While not likely, it is still possiblility to be taken into account, such as if there were set of jewelry and the like someone did not want made public on its dissaperance.

And, SNOW, how long would someone have to stay in the lavatory before an attendant would worry about a heartattack, stroke, etc., and how did they get tools through check-in to take down the panels? What were the take-off and destination points? Where’s the National Enquirer when you need them?
Hope all is well with you today and that your arm is better. What is your kitty’s name again? Going down to 40 tonight which will really trick the new growth on plants – they thought global warming was coming back and they could start growing again. Ooops!

You’re an idiot. So wrapped up in your self-hate and narcissism; it blinds you to the simplest of Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting. You‘re rabid need to prove Glenn ’wrong’ -and thereby gain some measure of recognition from your peers- has warped you. So much so that it denies your brain simple functions.
More than likely the respondent, as myself, remembered the heist and got the initials wrong himself. All I could recall was Cooper; I’d bet you also had to look it up, and did, so you could then yell, ‘AH-HAH!’ and point a finger at Mr. Beck.
Get a life you close-minded simpleton.

Sorry, I’m not buying this story.
      1. How did the passenger know the cargo hold contained a suitcase with money?
      2. How could the passenger count on the bag to be accessible?
      3. No one noticed the plane being taken apart?
      4. I’m lucky if I have room to get the door closed, let alone find a passageway out of the bathroom.
      5. This one has “inside job” written all over it.
