‘Passion and Purpose’: See the Pint-sized Leaders of the Future in Beck‘s Preview of ’Project Treehouse’

“Liberty Treehouse” is about to go big. In fact, to hear the program’s host, Lu Hanessian, tell it, it’s about to go as big as the Mickey Mouse club, with Glenn Beck as the equivalent of Walt Disney.

Why? Because Hanessian is expanding the program beyond its status as staple childrens’ programming on TheBlazeTV. Instead, now a new project – “Project Treehouse” – will be created alongside the program, which will allow children to do charity work or fight for causes near and dear to their hearts with support from TheBlaze. Hanessian already laid out the basic contours of an idea like this here on TheBlaze in an op-ed published earlier this week, apparently in anticipation of the program. Glenn Beck had her on his show tonight to explain further, as part of Restoring Love. Watch the interview below:

“The wisest thing, we suppose, that a man can do for his land.
Is the work that lies under his nose, with the tools that lie under his hand.”
The King whipped off his cloak, and stood in his crown before ‘em.
He said: “My dear little folk, Ex ore parvulorum –.”
(Which is Latin for “Children know more than grown-ups would credit” )
    The King’s Job
    Rudyard Kipling

I like how she danced around the question. She did not even remotely answer the question. If they are also promoting free-market principles and entrepreneurial-ism then it is worth it’s time and money but if it is just about handing out freebies then the show is then the show yet another waste without virtue & true education.

Wise up GBTV/Blaze/Beck. Correct this or no youth I know would watch or enjoy.

HEY BECK…do you know who these people really are?

If I asked them or you, would you tell the truth?

I am generally ok with their messaging. Yet I possess the EYE OF THE CYNIC.

They better push for all virtue rather than their moderation….To Moderate Virtue is to Annihilate Virtue.

“now a new project – “Project Treehouse” – will be created alongside the program, which will allow children to do charity work or fight for causes”

How ’bout teaching children to be entrepreneurs instead? Give. fish. Teach to fish, you know, that ole chestnut.

Yeah, yeah I know, Beck did the Bake Sale thingy, but that was rendered pointless the minute he gave some girl $1,000. What a horrible message to send. I swear, Beck suffers from schizophrenia.
