TX Pastor Defends Saying Islam ‘Promotes Pedophilia’

A Dallas pastor is coming under fire for claims he made that Islam inherently supports pedophilia.

In a recent sermon, First Baptist Church of Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress said that, “the deep, dark, dirty secret of Islam“ is that ”it is a religion that promotes pedophilia — sex with children. This so-called prophet Muhammad raped a nine year old girl — had sex with her.” According to TPM, that statement was given during an August 22 “Ask the Pastor” session. The question Jeffress responded to centered on the difference between Muslim Jihad and the Christian Crusades.

But while Jeffress’s congregation gave him a standing ovation for his comments, some within the Dallas community didn’t approve of his statement. Dallas Morning News columnist Steve blow was one of them. He devoted his entire column on Sunday to speaking out against Jeffress.

“It’s hard to know where to start in expressing dismay with the Rev. Robert Jeffress –- for being uninformed, un-Christian or un-American,” Blow’s column begins. He continues, “Where to begin with such broad-brushed nonsense?” and believes that Jeffress comments are endangering our troops abroad by emboldening Jihadists: “Do you think it helps for a prominent pastor back home to disrespect Muhammad as ‘this so-called prophet,‘ to refer to him and his followers as pedophiles and to proclaim all of Islam an ’evil, evil religion’?”

That same Sunday, Jeffress defended himself from the pulpit.”You know, whether I am un-Christian or un-American is something you and readers have to decide for theirselves (sic),” Jeffress begins his defense. “But uninformed I am not.” He goes on to explain that because he takes his job seriously, he makes sure he speaks the facts from the pulpit, and what he said about Islam “was based on facts.”

“Islam does incite violence around the world,” he says, and gives a recent example. He also claims that his comments about Muslim pedophilia were not in reference to this country, but rather to what is “going on around the world,” a distinction he says he made clear to Blow.

“We have laws in our country that prohibit marriage to children,” he said. “But in Muslim nations around the world, there are men who use Muhammad’s relationship with that nine year old girl as a justification for taking child brides.”

      In one sense I agree but in another I disagree. I do find it very ironic that your run of the mill dumb ass liberal will defend just about anything if a conservative goes after it first. However I disagree with you opinion that Muslims are barbaric. Jihadists are barbaric and practice a warped form of Islam twisted and cut up to the point where it basically says die a martyr killing infidels and you get 72 virgins, and beat that wife if she does anything. Real Islam is pretty close to christianity but with a different prophet and a lot more restrictions on everyone, and Muslims in the middle east do do some things that are terrible. But for the most part, Jihadists are the guys we have to worry about not your average Muslim and, in honesty, Jeffress is an idiot for putting the two groups together.

      This pastor is 100% correct. Most Muslims in America are not taught about that portion of the Quaran. Exposing this passage to American Muslims usually invokes the expected gut wrenching response and is effective in witnessing to them about the falseness of the religion.

      Also – the floods in Pakistan are exposing this very culture. Women are hostages of Islam and the culture, and many boys are sexual slaves to their elders.

      Consrevative LIB: Have you read the Koran from cover to cover? I have twice and many other Islamic teachings right from their own words. It is a violent religion and rejects Jeus Christ as the son of God. I hardly think that makes in similar to Christianity???

      I have also read the Koran and the other texts, and I attended college in the US with Muslims (students and professors), and have lived and worked in the Middle East…PopPop is correct, as is the pastor. Further, I contend that we should lump ‘Jihadists’ and ‘average Muslims’ together. While only ~15% of Muslims are willing to blow themselves up for Islam, ~85% worldwide support it. What we like to call the ‘moderate Musims,’ those that want to live and let live, are actually the radicals.

      It is the view of this Christian. I view their cult (it simply isn’t a religion) as they practice it: torture, mass murder, butchering of female genitalia, stoning (mostly females), beheadings, blowing up schools that dare to actually teach females; all countries with mostly muslim population are stone-age hell holes with Hitleresque dictators, destroying countries they migrate to (invade?) like locusts once they get a large enough population to start with all the above.

      And, I think most of all – it is the screaming SILENCE of the supposed “rest of the good muslims” that has finally convinced me that they agree. If they didn’t they would have long ago spoken up. It is about time we faced facts.

    This is a contest between logic (reason) and emotion. In the long run, logic always triumphs over emotion. This controversy is a model of the art of misdirection. After trashing the Constitution for a 1& ½ years, Mr. Obama is invoking the freedom of religion clause to trap his opponents with in an emotional argument. Our citizens overwhelmingly support freedom of religion and in the long run he will win the argument if the people can be convinced that it is a freedom of religion issue and ignore the real question.

    The issue is not if the government has an obligation to uphold the principle of freedom of religion, of course it does. The real question! Is Islam a religion or a subversive organization dedicated to the violent overthrow of our government using religion as a cover?

    Mr. Obama knows that no one will even address the real question.

      TOBYWIL2, it still seems as if the mosque will be built and although I have no blood relative or associate who was killed there, I am deeply pained that there just might be a symbol of muslim triumph over America placed within such a place. I am pained enough to advocate the taking-down of any construction started on that spot, as long as that can be done with no loss of life. I am ashamed that I feel that way. That being said, I own my words and stand by them. My one comfort is something I heard Joel Osteen say: “if God be for us, no weapon formed against us can prosper.” It is my heartfelt prayer.

    There was a video showing 450 young girls age 9 to 12 marrying Hamas men. This video showed the young girls dressed in their traditional wedding dresses and the grooms towering over them in their “go to wedding” suits. It’s is somewhere out there because I saw the video either on TV or my computer.

    I lived in Turkey when I was 14 and was harassed relentlessly by old men. I know from experience that Islam is all about lusting after 14 yr old boys, especially in Turkey. I have read that the Mullahs in Iran love young boys also and heroin.

      The thing with muslim men in muslim countries is what you say is true but to them, they do not consider it homosexual to have sex with young boys. PBS did a story on “Dancing boys of Afganistan” awhile ago exposing their dirty little secret. While it is a crime in muslim countries they do not punish them really unless their victim refuses their advances, then they will turn their victim in for the crime of homesexuality as a punishment for refusing the lustful advances of the men demanding the sex. I have also heard enough stories from US soldiers that came back from the 1st Gulf War about how the men behaved in the camps sent up from all the Iraq soldiers surrendering enmass to us. While we held on to their soldiers in these camps until we figuired out what to do with them and the lights went out for the night, our soldiers heard the sounds of screaming as the Iraqi men would gang rape each other NIGHTLY and there was nothing we could do about it.

    Again, being in America we have it all right here. As long as acts are not against THIS COUNTRY’S Constitution I have no desire to attempt changing other countries in the name of religion. We should have learned by now, it’s a futile attempt where by both of these religions have caused problems.       Respectfully, there is a current assault being waged on our Constitution and infiltrating our judicial system. One example is honor killings, where Islamic religious freedom is currently testing our laws.

      Atlanta – man killed daughter and said
      “God will protect me. God is watching me. I strangled my daughter.”

      New York – man attempted to kill sister and said
      .. she was a “bad Muslim girl”

      Irving, Texas – two sisters murdered
      reported about him: “gun-waving rants about how Western culture was corrupting the chastity of his daughters.”

      Perhaps a trip to this site would offer further insight into what has happened around the globe as Christians attempted to be tolerant and understanding.

    It is so wonderful to see Pastors speak out the truth, finally! And what did the Dallas media do? Condemn the pastor and encourage the people to stick their head back in the sand and pay no attention to the sound of marching boots trampling free speech rights and some weird Arabic sounding calls to prayer. Not to worry.

    Yep the “prophet” Mohamed did indeed marry a girl aged six but waited until she was nine to seal the deal, so his followers say. And yep, Saudi Imams just confirmed this “good” since the prophet did it. Whatever the prophet did is considered the guide for Muslim men…not so much for the women. .

That‘s why people who work with Muslims think they are moderate and very nice people and they aren’t like the ones who are doing the violence. Did you ever wonder why there are no “moderate’ Muslims decrying the violence of the “radicals”? Because there are really no “moderate” Muslims. There are Muslims-in-name-only, but they would not want to risk their lives by saying that the radicals were wrong. They would be going against the Koran if they said that, anyway.     You know.. ..why would anyone be surprised that a radical form of a religion that says it’s ok to kill the infidels…..would mind if children were raped? …..Does anyone really think this ‘religion’ has any true morals?.. ..As if we’d assume that they think honor killings are fine but that their children are held in high esteem. Any group who would behead someone is certainly capable of anything.

    I will say that I am speaking of radical Islam though. I have NO PROBLEM with any version of the muslim faith if that faith is based on love and charity …which radical islam is clearly not.

      Wait, wait…you are saying it wrong. We are not infidels. That term is taken from the crusades and “infidelis” or not faithful. That word is not used by prominent muslim scholars and is not in the Koran at all! It sounds so mean and harsh. The correct translation is actually “unbelievers”. That sounds so much better! “Kill the unbelievers.“ Is so much less hateful than ”kill the infidels.”

      NO “talk” will ever cause me to murder someone. We have a freedom of speech that I am proud of. If they choose to murder soldiers or fly planes into buildings that is their own sick thinking. I will not, and no one in America, with the freedom of speech ever take the blame for these extremists killing innocent people. Having said that, this pastor might be crazy or he might not.       Islam needs major reforms. Where is the movement for Islam reform? Where are Muslims who denounce the evil of their religion? I am so please with the liberal left democrats who fought Christianity out of education and public places yet stand up for the evil parts of Islam.

      Since when does Islam need talk like this as an excuse to kill Americans or actively seek to destroy Western culture? Violence is part of thier tenet, it is not only acceptable but encouraged as a way to rewards in what they call heaven. Islam is not just an organized “religion”, it is a form of government complete with laws, it is a political State theocracy that is at war with western culture.

      @bbwindy: Polygamy with children in the US should be stopped by police force. Polygamy among adults, while repulsive to me, seems like something that should be legal. I’m mostly a Libertarian, and if adults decide to marry in the same gender, or in groups, and they don’t hurt me, why should I care? Why should the government get involved. I expect right after gay marriage is legal, polygamy will be next. But as I said earlier, with children is a completely different matter, and should be prosecuted.

      I personally don’t believe the government should regulate marriage. It should be left to the churches, and the government should not get involved. All laws that relate to marriage could be removed from the books. No tax advantages or penalties for married or single people. There could be a form held by the government where you name a “most trusted” person, who would have rights of hospital visitation, decision making when you’re unconsious, inheritance, etc. This system would be fair to single people who currently don’t have a lot of the advantages that married people have. And businesses can choose to give you whatever benefits they want. If they don’t cover your “wife” or “wives” that’s up to them. You can choose to work elsewhere if you like.

      We have recently been made aware through several mediums in this country that muslim men making a pilgrimage to mecca are permitted and encouraged to “rent” a “wife” from her father to take care of his “needs.” He may pay a price of $50.00 to “rent” a 13 year old “wife.” I was astonished and disgusted to hear of this; have these people not expounded ad nauseum about their pride in the purity of their women? Yet, looking into it myself (because I am skeptical of such pronouncements), I found that it is true, and so being, what about having sex with little 13 year old girls isn’t pedophilia? Especially sex for money? They want to stone a woman to death for SUSPECTED adultery, yet renting a little girl “wife” is acceptable? What kind of person is the “father” who “rents” his 13 year old child out for a “wife?” That is the worst kind of depraved degenerate! I am sick of catering to muslims who are taking every avenue to find something about which to be to be offended. Our Constitution DOES NOT speak of a right to not be offended. If something about someone’s free expression offends someone else, they are free to stop watching and/or listening. I understand and share your concern about putting others in danger. They burn and stomp on our flag and urinate on our holy book, yet a quoran burning or the telling of a simple truth about islamic practices invokes death threats? If they want to give it out, they’d better learn to take it, because America’s forbearance is going to stop saving them at some point. I, for one, am losing all patience and becoming quite short on tolerance myself, and I have always believed in standing up to bullies. I have never felt this way in my 51 years about people who are different in belief and practice from me, but I and many others have simply had enough of being kicked in the shins by these officious little bullies. The muslims have begun to force us into a corner, and there can be only one outcome. “Don’t Tread on me.” If there are muslims who truly denounce the violent activity of those who advocate for it, then let them be the first to stand up to them. I don‘t hear of people standing up in mosques anywhere in the world and telling their clerics they aren’t going to stand for this culture of violence anymore. Until they start to do that, I don’t believe islam is a religion or culture of peace. Silence equals consent. The silence from the so-called peaceful muslims is deafening.

      Bobby you speak the truth – it doesn’t matter if we speak up against Islam or not – they will still kill us – I don’t live in Texas, and have never attended the preachers truth – but I admire him for speaking the truth and urge him to keep speaking up!

      They already do want to murder Americans as the “infidels”, not to mention “the great satan”. That doesn’t mean “nice infidels”, that doesn’t mean “helpful infidels”, just “infidels”…and if you are not a Muslim then you are an infidel, fact, not fiction. This ministers’ reference to pedophilia and Islam is not quite as far fetched as one would think. Most of their jurisprudence is not influenced by the Quran but from the Hadith, be that Sunni or Shiite. The “Hadith” is basically interpretations of the actions of Muhammad passed down from the 7th century. Now the strength of a “Hadith” is directly influenced by the Line of Influence it came from hence a better family passing down the rule takes precedence over a lesser familial line of heritage. Does anybody else see the problem with this?

      Although I wouldn’t say Islam promotes pedophilia, the fact remains that they do practice it openly and those who don’t believe in the practice are to me condoning the practice by silence…be that from fear or support. So I guess the only question left to ask is are people responsible for their actions or are we all responsible for every action of mankind? One represents the faith of Christians and the other the faith of Muslims…Personal Salvation vs. Collective Salvation

      It could be said that the basic principle concerning marrying children is that it is forbidden unless there is specific evidence (daleel) to indicate otherwise. The hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah states that her father Abu Bakr married her off before the age of puberty, but there is no other evidence apart from that, so the rule applies to all other cases.

      Al- Muhallab said: “[The scholars] agreed that it is permissible for a father to marry off his young virgin daughter, even though it is not usually the case to have intercourse with such a young woman.”

      (The above was summarized from Fath al-Baari Sharh ‘ala Saheeh al-Bukhaari)

      It is permitted to contract marriage with a young girl and to hand her over to her husband to stay with him before she reaches adolescence. As for consummating the marriage, this does not happen until she is physically able for it. Thus the matter becomes quite clear. Do you see anything wrong with a man living with his young wife in one house, bringing her up and teaching her, but delaying consummation until she is ready for it…this was the reasoning I found for the marriage to Aiesha…

      Most Muslims are rational and just do not want to kill anyone, no matter who! Stereotyping Muslims is a surmisal based on unverifiable conjecture and it is only the speculator who suffers this untruth and those whom he misleads.
      The Prophet of Islam married Ayesha with the express permission of her father and she accepted willingly and although child marriage is allowed in Islam with the condition of the express permission of the father and the willingness of the girl in question, this practice is rare. The Prophet married Ayesha before she was 18 but he brought her up until she was ready for consummation.
      And, this is a very small part of Islam and one should not judge a great religion on the basis of one aspect or an isolated fact.
      Spreading hate against Islam only radicalizes moderate Muslims who are more than ninety percent of the total. People like the Pastor are helping to reinforce the claim of radical Muslims that America is at war with Islam.

      Its because they cant handle the truth of there violence against women, children, non-islam believers, and even other islam sects. Read the quaran, not the American diluted version, and you will realize what their ultimate goal is and how violence is OK against woman and infedels.

      Just watch them prove they are not violent with violence. I’m all for letting them practice their religion in America. But don’t buy the lie they are peaceful. Don’t by the lie that allah = Jehovah. They are in no way related to Abraham, Jews, or Christianity.

This preacher has heard GOD’s voice and he is courageously standing on the truth. More than that, he is preaching it at great peril from the pulpit.       The socialist media, as well as the White House talking heads. have stated that this type of talk, telling the truth, the burning of the koran, Americans saying no more, will put our fighting forces in danger. Our fighting troops are in constant danger in while in these Muslin theaters of war. Right or wrong, the American people need to stand up and be heard.       What is so great about islam? Defenders of islam always call it a great religion. What is so great about it? I havent heard about groups of buddists hijacking air planes and crashing them into buildings. Or hindu boarding a bus with kids on it and blowing themselves up.

      The blindness is the work of satan.

      The Jews support a president who at every chance goes against isreals best interest.

      Our media plays on our laziness and only posts headlines. Since most people only read the headlines 65% of the country is completely uniformed.

      They don’t need any reason. It’s just like living with an abusive person. You can *****-foot around as much as you want, and if they want to commit violence on you, they can ALWAYS find a reason to do it regardless of what you do or don’t do. Difference is, when it’s your husband, you can leave and get the court to issue a personal protection order. When you are dealing with people who have their own set of laws and consider the law of the land to be of the devil, it’s a different story.
