Nonetheless, let me step in it by providing one simple fact: There are three necessary conditions for general Socialism; one being the non-existence of economic resources being privately owned. In Europe, though central planning does exist to a greater degree than the US, resources, for the most part, are privately owned. Krugman knows this, so he’s not being truthful with his audience.
