Paul Ryan Blasts Obamas Excessively Partisan & Inaccurate Budget Speech

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan blasted President Obama’s budget speech for being “inaccurate,“ ”partisan,“ and ”inadequate.” The Blaze live-blogged the president’s speech, which included a call to raise taxes, here.

“Exploiting people’s emotions of fear, envy, and anxiety, is not hope–it’s not change. It’s partisanship. We don’t need partisanship. We don’t need demagoguery. We need solutions”

Ryan also said, “What we heard today was not fiscal leadership from our commander in chief. What we heard today was a political broadside from our campaigner-in-chief.”

“Rather than building bridges, he’s poisoning wells,” the Wisconsin congressman said.

@HUGIE 59 PA. I agree that Mr. Ryan should beware for the smear campaign. And I feel they will come on stronger than ever. The entitlement mentality boggles the mind. And you wonder why women come here to have children from all over the world…they know they will always be taken care of. And I can’t believer AZ has to fight so hard to secure the border. Obama is a sociolist communist. Bottom up Top down

Simple tax the Rich, cut Spending, and create jobs. The Rich do create jobs, but where are they? They make a ton of money and spend it instead of creating jobs. They actually cut jobs that used to be done by three people just for one now a days. The job creators cut the jobs and work you to death, or until you quit, because they can always fill it with someone else. Its not because of computers. All they create are job cuts to boost their profits. If you make 250,000 yes you must sacrifice. Yes the middle and lower classes will be hit harder than the tax increases to the Rich.

    Text of speech:

I’m very disappointed in the President. I was excited when we got invited to attend his speech today. I thought the President’s invitation to Mr. Camp, Mr. Hensarling, and myself was an olive branch. Instead, what we got was a speech that was excessively partisan, dramatically inaccurate, and hopelessly inadequate to addressing our country’s pressing fiscal challenges.

What we heard today was not fiscal leadership from our commander and chief.. What we heard today was a political broadside from our campaigner and chief. I guess it’s no coincidence that last week when the President launched his billion dollar re-election campaign was the week we launched our effort to try and get this debt and deficit under control and get our economy growing.

Last year, in the absence of a serious budget, the President created a fiscal commission, then with his budget, he disavowed his fiscal commission. He ignored all of it’s recommendations. Now he wants to delegate leadership again to a new commission. How are we to expect different results? And the measurements of success of this new commission are lower then the measurements of success of the last commission that ended a few months ago.

We need leadership. We don’t need a doubling down on the failed politics of the past. This is very sad and very unfortunate. Rather than building bridges, he is poisoning wells.

By failing seriously to confront the most predictable crisis in our nations history, the President’s policies are committing us and our children to a diminished future. We’re looking for bipartisan solutions, not partisan rhetoric. When the President is ready to get serious about it, we’re going to be here working. Exploiting people’s emotions of fear, envy and anxiety is not hope. It’s not change. It’s partisanship. We don’t need partisanship. We don’t need demography. We need solutions. And we don’t need to keep punting to other people to make tough decisions. If we don’t make tough decisions today, our children are going to have to make much, much tougher decisions tomorrow.

So I am sincerely disappointed that the President, at a moment when we are putting ideas on the table to try and engage in a thoughtful dialog to fix this country’s economic and fiscal problems decides to pour on the campaign rhetoric, launch his re-election and pass partisan broadsides against us, and making it that much harder for the two parties to come together with mutual respect of one another to get things done.

We need someone in Washington who has the courage to be the “as_hole”, unafraid to lose his political position but willing to do what is best for the country. Do away with the minimum wage, strip the government of its size, and slash taxes to near zero percent. If a thing has merit the private sector will make it happen. If an “entitlement” is worthy the private sector will make it happen. Stop paying the lazy to remain lazy, lets kick them in the butt and if they don’t work, then they shouldn’t eat. Lazy is a curse of the 20th century let us not bring it into the 21st. I’m tired of the government stealing money out of my pocket just to give it to someone unwilling to work for the health of the whole. The church use to fill a lot of these gaps in our society, but the “Godless” screamed about the separation of church and state and insisted that the government fill the gaps. Big Government or Big Brother?
That’s all I have to say right now about this.

Paul Ryan is the man! I completely <3 him. For months I have been saying that I wish he would run for President with Allen West as his VP. Those 2 are the most level-headed, mature members of Congress we have and I think that either one of them would wipe the floor with Barry in a debate!

The President is afraid of taking Paul Ryan on because he knows this. I am not just saying that because of his new budget proposal or this reponse to Barry's assualt today, but because everytime Paul Ryan has directly challenged this President since he took office the President has tried hard to change the subject or deflect the question. For example, last year when they had their health care discussion at the Blair House, Barry WOULD not answer any of the questions that Ryan had.

He is perfect for President. He believes in a limited federal government, he is young, smart, handsome, the father of 3 young kids, happily married. He is the very image of the American family and apple pie.

Paul Ryan wouldn’t know a good thing if it sat on his face.

I’d like to see Ryan say something as simple as this…

“We don’t want our children and grandchildren to be saddled with the overwhelming amount of debt that created by the Bush administration…. Let’s be honest here; Bush began his administration with a surplus, and yes, while he was on all those vacations he forgot to watch our borders, lied about WMD’s, started an unnecessary war to fill Cheney’s buddies pockets, gave immense tax cuts to the rich and destroyed our economy. Now I know the debt has risen under Obama because he has to ride out what Bush started until it’s fixed. So here’s what I propose…We find all the true waste in the government and we cut it, wherever it may be. Next, we go back to the Clinton era tax cuts. Let’s face it, if everyone is going to talk about not laying it off on our future generations, they we should take care of it now, shouldn’t we?”

Ryan may as well run, because based on what President Obama said today, it appears that Ryan’s “Pathway” will be “on the ballot” anyway.

I actually would vote for Ryan despite being a staunch Libertarian. Sure beats the hell outta everyone else the Republicans have to offer. So, why don’t you go ahead and get rid of the “Quitter On Twitter”, “Combover Donnie” and that Socialist from Mass?

Ryan plan will have granny in the poor house at the mercy of the insurnace companies. The numbers of Ryan’s plan do not add up, even the heritage society he relied on is back tracking the claims Ryan made. He is give out welfare to the corporations and the rich on the backs of sick, elderly, middle class and workers.

Great response to Obama’s Campaigner in Chief ridiculous budget speech. Obama has done more to destroy the financial system and wreck the country that any President in history. He couldn’t run a lemonade stand without it going under and he has no business running the country or even dreaming up a budget. Obama doesn’t know what the word BUDGET even means.

It was easy for him to stand up and say the right things when he was only a senator. He was building an image to assure that he was electable. He couldn’t show his preference for things communistic. Now he wears the title of POTUS the Omnipotent and is in a position to go for his idea of the perfect soceity. It is his intention to impose it on us, wether we are willing or not, or take us so far down the path to the left that we will not be able to restore our republic or constitution.
      ———————————————-
The republicans have some good ideas but will have to wait until after the 2012 election to implement them. As it is now the democratic majority in the senate will block everything constructive that is passed by the house. If they do manage to sneak something past Ried and company, POTUS will veto it and the votes to get past a veto are not there. It does not matter who wins the 2012 election for POTUS but we need to be sure we have a veto proof majority in the house and the senate. If not, the country is in for some very bad times.

You know what kills me? All of you now in Ryan’s corner, shouting praises from the virtual rooftops, while not realizing you’re merely victims of the next act in the political theater known as the national stage.

Ryan is the new hero, Ryan is the anti-Obama, Ryan keeps hope alive, Ryan’s playing to a script written not by any patriotic American, but the foreign interests intent on keeping control of our country, intent on advancing the Progressive agenda, intent on offering you a choice of two hand-picked candidates so as to steal yet another election, like 2008.

Ryan’s “pathway” doesn‘t decrease spending any more than Boehner’s recent budget deal cuts 38 billion dollars. Ryan’s “plan” just spreads a trillion or more in additional spending over years, instead of months. Welcome to Progressive Lite R University, the antidote to Progressive Heavy D.

But it’s sad to see my fellow countrymen, even now, buying into all this BS. You’re being played, victimized, you’re on the edge of your seats, caught in a manufactured political drama meant to dupe all of you. And so many of you still cling to your notion that the Republican party is different, or not owned, by the same foreign interests who own the Dems.

      Good luck swallowing your delusions.

The sign of a good leader is someone who is strong where he can be and who appoints those with noteworthy attributes to make him strong where he is not. The one thing I admired George W Bush for was that his first move as president was to pick a strong team to advise him. Regardless of where it all ended up – I was glad we had that stong group of advisors when 9 – 11 hit. SO Paul Ryan for President and may his intelligents cause him to make good picks in advisors!
