Paul Ryan: I‘d ’Consider’ a Vice Presidential Run

Paul Ryan: Id Consider a Vice Presidential Run

CBS

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Sunday he “would consider” running in the vice presidential slot on the 2012 Republican ticket, though is “so focused” on his current job that it’s “not even” in his mind.

Ryan, chair of the House Budget Committee, unveiled a budget plan this week that has been praised by GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney — and been dubbed the “Romney-Ryan budget” by top Obama administration adviser David Plouffe.

“I’m so focused on my job in Congress. If I wanted to be president or vice president so badly I would have run for president. I don’t — so I didn’t,” Ryan said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Still, Ryan wouldn’t entirely close the door on the No. 2 spot when pressed by host Norah O’Donnell.

“I would consider it but it’s not even something in my mind because it’s a decision someone else makes at a later time,” he said. “It’s a bridge I haven’t gotten close to having to cross so in the meantime I think it’s important to do my job.”

Also appearing on “Fox News Sunday,“ Ryan said the former Massachusetts governor is ”clearly on his way” to landing the Republican presidential nomination.

“I don’t know if I’d say he’s got it wrapped up,” he said. “He’s clearly on his way. I think he’s becoming the prohibitive frontrunner and I think the sooner we coalesce around a nominee the better off we’ll be. The prize is November, not this summer. I think it’s coming together, but I’ll let the people of this country decide that.”

Go look at more videos about Newt & Santorum, very negatives ones out there. I will take Romney over anybody else. I always liked the guy but didn’t think I would end up supporting him but he has shown to be superior to the others, plus he is a very nice & moral guy. LA gave high marks on morality for Santorum (voted as one of the most corrupt senators) Newt, something like 13% & Romney at 6%. I do question these voters as Newt has a terrible record with fidelity & Mitt has been married for 43 yrs. & no scandals & these voters consider themselves true conservatives.

Why don’t the republicans just save their money and give Obama 4 more years? Paul Ryan would be the final blow to any hope. He is toxic and so is his horrendous budget which solidifies every WH talking point. His arrogant certitude in proposing a budget that “every” consultant advised against is appalling. Any tax “reform” that doesn’t enumerate which deductions would be eliminated is laughable. Everyone knows which deductions would have to be cut and also that
Congress hasn’t the courage to cut any of them. Both parties are useless and a danger to the survival of the country.

Parties aren’t the problem? The problem is President Oblamer and the leftist senators in the District of Corruption. Big Government is the Commie Oblamer, Jarrett, Axelrod, Messina, Plouffe and all of the Princeton unemployment and labor academics that haven’t worked a day in their lives.

The Problem is the Leftism and Communism that Oblamer calls spending money to create or save jobs… Oblamer want‘s it to be like Maxine Watters say’s…“We pretty much just want to take over everything” In other words, a McDonalds worker would get promoted to Health and Wellness regulator and make more than the doctors. In other words, Oblamer thinks he can spend our way out of this…..In 8 years of Oblamer he would spend 11 trillion and we, the USA would or could never pay it back, unless we won a 35 trillion dollar lottery from Chiner.

As if there are any more reasons to show that Ron Paul should not be the GOP Presidential candidate, just look back to 2008 in which Paul endorses four(!) candidates for President, including the Marxist whack-job Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader. How unhinged to you have to be, intellectually, to endorse not only four people, but four whom also hold diametrically opposing views on the role of government. This alone shows that Ron Paul is not a serious thinker. In fact it shows him to be a reactionary flame thrower, willing to completely abandon principles when he doesn’t get his way. Ron Paul may truly be concerned for the direction of the country, as all of us are, but undisciplined rhetoric and childish temper tantrums when he doesn’t get his way should disqualify him from the top nomination of any party.

We have been infiltrating the GOP process and I believe we are winning. St. Charles, MO has decided to re-do the local delegate convention and will not stop video taping this time. Paul has supporters as delegates in every primary and caucus so far. We will also have over 20,000 active military and veterans for Paul marching on the convention. It is going to be an awsome event. The GOP has awakened to this phenomenom, but it is too late. They can try to skirt the rules, but we will not allow the rules to be ignored. You will never end the Ron Paul campaign.

      @OHIO4TEA

WHO CARES ABOUT HOW MAD OR FAST THE “LIBERALS” WOULD BE?

      THEY don’t determine THE RULES…
We don’t do things according to whether or not if will OFFEND THE LIBERALS.
IF WE COMPLIED TO LIBERALS TERMS & CONDITIONS …
THERE WOULDN’T BE ANY OPPOSITION OR OTHER CHOICES IN THE RACE FOR THEM.

Heck, IF it were left up to LIBERALS….ONLY LIBERALS WOULD BE ALLOWED TO RUN.
      COME ON, NOW…

      GEEZZZ…..THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE SAYING….
DON’T GIVE UP YOUR POWER, OHIO4TEA!!!!
Are YOU really for TEA or did you think that was just a “catchy name?

” There’s nothing to FEAR, but fear itself”.
      Please REMEMBER that.

One problem. Paul Ryan isn’t running for President. It was a cute fairy tale though……

Me too..in a heart-beat. I was alittle taken back when I read this…..here is a young man with “high-minded” thoughts & actions and more to the point….he gets it! We all have a stake in this but Paul & other men with young families are very concerned about their children’s future and are “stepping-up-to-the-plate“ The country needs ”many good men & yes, good women” to believe in and fight for our FREEDOM FROM TYRANNY.
      God Bless you Paul….Thank you!

Yeah but there isn’t going to be an election, because there is going to be global war with Iran and North Korea and Obama will attempt takeover as total dictator.

Ryan has a brain in his head and is fisally conservative when it comes to budgets. The VP we have now is reminiscient of the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. A drunken one at that…

The politicians in Washington are in a complete unrealistic dreamland and quite dead inside.

Tim – I do not think Allen West, Marco Rubio, and Paul Ryan are dead inside. Far from it!
