Paul Ryan Jabs Obama: Happy Clinging to His Guns and His Religion

The phrase “bitter clingers” was born after President Obama described small-town conservatives as “[clinging] to guns or religion“ as a way to ”explain their frustration.”

On Tuesday, Republican Paul Ryan addressed the comments head-on, saying that, as a Catholic and a hunter, he is “happy” to be described in such a way.

“I remember this other time, where [Obama] was caught on video saying ‘people like to cling to their guns and their religion,” Ryan began to a large crowd, adding:  “Hey– I am a Catholic deer-hunter.  I am happy to be clinging to my guns and my religion.”

Ryan, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s running mate, was visiting a family-owned steel processing plant near Pittsburgh when he made the comments.

According to NBC Connecticut, he also said Obama has used Medicare “like a piggy bank” to fund Obamacare, adding that the president is relying on “distortions” because “that’s all he has to offer.”

    I was thinking. Obama in a speech not too long ago mentioned his sons. Maybe his daughters are really boys and he and Michelle cross dress. I mean Obama was accused of having sex in a shower with Rahm Emanuel maybe Michelle is the way he makes it look like he is virile. Hilary and Bill stay together because people say she is a lesbian maybe this is to hide Obama’s sexual preference. Hmm.

(4th amendment violation) Didn’t like the conspiracy theories he was posting (1st amendment violation) and is indefinitely detaining him for another 30 days and no charges have been filed. (6th and 7th amendment violations). And Ryan voted for all this stuff. Please think about that. This is a multiple tour Marine in Afganistan and Iraq treated this way for posting lyrics and AJ material. Furthermore, it happened in VA which nullified the NDAA and after a federal court ruled it unconstitutional. Are you fine with this or do you think Ryan’s hands are clean of this BS?

      Art. VI, Paragraph 3 of the Constitution:

      How so Encoidiot? My Sister is on disability and after she pays rent, pays her utilities, pay her phone bill and whatever bills she may have, she has nothing left to spend. How does that exactly help the community when she has no money left to go buy clothes and has to buy her necessities at the Dollar Store. This is the same for people who are on Welfare or on Unemployment, by the time they pay their bills, there IS NO MONEY LEFT TO SPEND IN THE COMMUNITY. Again another clueless fool who only repeats what he hears.

      The answer is never. Ryan is an exceptonal man, but I’ll give Romney credit for picking him as VP. That took integrity and unpretentiousness (Biblical humbleness), two character traits I admire in Romney. It also proves he’s a no-nonsense person.

      Yep, and here’s all we have to do:

      Use the stimulus package is to create jobs and help the unemployed. What we’re trying to accomplish is to pass the kind of legislation that when they’ve passed in the past have grown the economy and gotten people back to work. We want to make it easier for employers to keep people employed. We want to make it easier for employers to invest in their businesses, to invest in their employees, and to hire people back to work. And on top of it, for those people who have lost their jobs, we want to help them with their unemployment insurance and with health insurance.

      We have a lot of laid off workers. And more layoffs are occurring. And we know, as a historical fact, that even if our economy begins to slowly recover, that unemployment is going to linger on and on and on well after that recovery takes place. What we have been trying to do is to try and get people back to work. The things we’re trying to do are the time-tested proven bi-partisan solutions to get businesses to stop laying off people, to hire people back, and to help those people who have lost their jobs. It’s more than just giving someone an unemployment check. It’s also helping those people with their health insurance while they’ve lost their jobs.

      Glad you’re on board.
