PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, RESTORE OUR ECONOMY, STOP UNEMPLOYMENT…THIS IS A NO BRAINER!

If President Obama had a brain, all of the turmoil in the world could be nullified to some degree by doing one thing. Pull out the STOPS to restoring America as the Oil Giant it could be if not for the Liberal and Progressive inclination to destroy the American Oil Industry. If we allowed exploration and amplification of the Oil Industry in this nation we would cause the Middle East to stop and think twice about allowing rebellion to destroy their jobs; cause the oil industry to start the financial burgeoning of our economy and allow employment to amplify throughout the nation. It would give us jobs. Oil is the driving force behind all of this crap that the world is currently facing. If a nation, person or a people want a change of attitude, “money flowing” always causes a change of mind. Obama could accomplish this if he would just go to the media and say He is pulling out out all the stops to whatever is holding up any amplification of America’s driving force…Energy and Oil. It is a no brainer. Wake up Obama and wake up America!

Of course the Reps. aren’t looking for a shutdown every sane person knows this. Only those drinking tall glasses of Bama koolaid are brainwashed enough to try to blame the Congress over this problem and not look at the facts that it is INSANE to release a one year $3.7 TRILLION dollar budget when our government is so broke and so far in debt we are on the fast track to economic destruction and 3rd world status. Only a complete loon would try to blame the people with enough common sense out there who are trying to drastically cut spending and get us back on a path of fiscal sense.

The “we’ll shut down the government” is a ploy used by those who wish to continue the the same out of control spending habits we have seen in the past. The idea is to cause the greatest inconvenience to the most susceptible people. Democrat Governors Warner and Kaine played the same card here and Virginia closing down the DMV. Get wise people, when I had to retire because of a disability (not my first choice) I took a 50% cut in income. Well, I’m still here, still have my house and still am able to eat. I made changes however, can’t afford a new car but I still have one. Still performs well. We all have to make changes when times are tough.

I agree, except for a small contingent to aggresively go after all the money that has been fleeced from the American taxpayer. Wherever it may be hidden. Not just TARP or Bailout, but every appropriation, most are triple redundant, that has been slid into our bills.

Canvas the last 20-30 yrs. Arrest all parties involved in the stealing, including the reps and officials themselves.

And last, tell China to go do themselves for trying to undermine our sovereignty.

Let private industry and local municipalities handle the rest.

O yea, form some serious militias to deal with this little immigration problema.

I agree it is time to show those Democrats that we are sending a strong non negotiable message to Washington. The message is get the fiscal house in order, get rid of all Government waste. No more shady back room deals, no more unbalanced budgets, no more out of control spending, and it is time to get busy and clean up the terrible mess that has been made in Washington DC.

Make whatever decisions are necessary to get our government back to where it can be run in a manner without adding to the national debt, and put an end to Big Government. From here on out it is trimming and cutting back and accountability to those who sent you to Washington to do the peoples business in a way that is in America’s best interest, and within the guidelines of the constitution.

While you are at it seal our borders and start enforcing the immigration laws that are already on the books. If you cannot do that then you are not up to the job and will be voted out in the next election or the next time you come up for election. This is basically the message that we the American people were sending when we voted in the last election. We want much more efficient government, abolition of the IRS, a fair tax enacted, and pay cuts and for all Federal workers and make them start paying a portion of their healthcare and their retirement benefits just like Governor Scott Walker is doing in Wisconsin. We want the same thing done on the Federal level.

proudconservative, Federal employees have been paying a portion of their retirement and health insurance for a long time. Anybody hired as a civil servant since about 1984 is on the new retirement system – which means paying into Social Security and investing in the Thrift Savings Plan.

Another big difference between federal and state employees is that the percentage of feds that are dues paying union members is pretty low. I’ve read that if you leave out postal workers the percentage is around 15%. Fed unions can’t bargain for wages and it is illegal for feds to strike, which is why it was so easy for Ronald Reagan to fire the air traffic controllers.

I would demand $1,000 billion in spending cuts from next year’s budget. That’s what the Congress should do.

But, you see, the problem is that shutting down the government now will ensure that the country collapses because we won’t be able to restart the Ponzi Scheme once we turn it off. But, if we don’t cut spending drastically and start paying down the debt very, very soon (like ten years ago or so), the country will collapse.

You see, Obama can’t lose. Either way, the country will be destabilized and paralyzed economically and socially.

Negotiations with socialist(formerly democrats as of 3/21/10) controlled senate is futile. Harry Reid is against anything positive for the nation he has made that abundantly clear. Any positive cost cutting move made by the reps in the House Reid has threatened to block in the Senate. Ironically that which Reid is now doing is what he use to complain about the reps doing.

This is a stalemate let the govt shutdown at least they wont be spending any more money in the short term it will also let the country see the socialists for what they are just as we are now seeing in Wisconsin by those socialist state senators!

Until all household names in politics are removed from DC n both houses and the WH nothing is going to get better. Any measure put forth will be the equivalent of a band-aid on a gaping wound.

I’m surprised that these people who are protesting are still on the streets. They must be high living if they can afford this time off or maybe the unions promised them they will get paid and now there sucking up to Obama to bail them out. You live in an apartment building.

If your toilet is leaking badly, flooding your kitchen and falling all over the stove and into your dinner pot and cabinets where the perishables are (an analogy of our fiscal crisi- crisi as in a plurality of crisis) then what is the first thing you do?

Leave the water running so people can continue to pee and doo-doo in the toilet while it leaks all over everything in your kitchen?

Or shut the water off and put an “Out of Order” sign on the toilet?

Of course, shut the water off and don’t allow access to the toilet.

Say..the entire building‘s foundation is shifting because of a raw sewage leak that’s contaminating the entire area and flowing out into the streets.

If the Landlord doesn‘t shut off the building’s water and fix the problem, he’s going to have a whole heap of problems.

We have to shut the dang-on water off, fix all the problems, then restart it. It may need an entire overhaul. It may not be repairable.

And don‘t tell me I’m oversimplifying a very complicated problem.

As a retired Military and I work for the DoD, even though I wouldn’t get a paycheck, shut it down for a few weeks. If we can get the tough cuts through, and send a message, I will forgo a paycheck or 2. Across the board, there needs to be cuts, not only in the DoD but every single Federal Govt. agency. The problem I constantly see is every agency continually acts like a sacred cow, “We can’t be cut, or the sky will fall”. The DoD has taken cuts, drawdown’s, BRAC, and still we do the job every day. The rest of the govt. needs to learn this. As a young Sergeant, I had to operate a maintenance shop for over a year, with no budget. Every time something broke, we would have to piece a part together or figure out a work around. We didn’t gripe, we just did the job.
All agencies need to learn this, I have worked with Non-military agencies that, when faced with potential cuts, I have heard them scream “They can’t do this to us, don’t they know how important we are?”
Everyone needs to find out they aren’t important, everyone doesn’t get a trophy, everyone doesn’t get a cookie after the game, and everyone isn’t so dang special as they think they are.
I have lived through tornadoes, floods, and other not so pleasant occasions. And when the wind dies down, the waters recede, and you dig yourself out of that blizzard, you simply roll up your sleeves, grab a shovel and hammer, and get to work
That is what we need to do America, get to work, don’t gripe that the work stinks, that it’s going to be dirty, or you might mess up your nails.
Just do it, dang it, just do it.
We owe this to the greatest generation, to not soil their sacrifice, but we need to show them, their work ethic and values will live on in America.

I knew the Republicans would stick their tails between their legs as soon as the Dems started talking about a government shut down. No courage, and no real understanding of why they have control of the House. We elected these so called conservatives to stand their gound for America. Not to cowtown for the Left. Get with it. Stop The Madness. Stop the Spending. Just stop.
