Tim Pawlenty: ‘I’m Running for President’

Count Tim Pawlenty in. The former governor of Minnesota said on CNN tonight that he’s running for president in 2012.

Tim Pawlenty: Im Running for President

When asked about a new CNN poll that has Donald Trump in the lead with 19% of the Republican vote and Pawlenty last with 2% of the vote, the former governor of Minnesota said that his strategy right now is “tortoise and hare.“ He also noted that Trump is a ”funny“ and ”exciting” guy.

You are right, he did support parts of cap and trade years ago, however he has made it clear that he does NOT support it and will not support it in the future. As far as sharia law, he allowed banks that are “sharia compliant” to do business in the state. It is simply a different way of arranging finance terms for loans made between banks and private citizens. That does NOT mean he supports sharia law. There is a very big difference here. You need to do your homework as well my friend.

As far as Romneycare and for that matter MN Care are concerned, states have a right to institute health insurance programs that their elected officials and voting public want. Obamacare is different because it affects everyone in the entire country. If you live in MS and don’t like Romneycare, you can move to NY (or wherever). Same goes for MN. Smart voters (Conservatives) need to remember this. Don’t let the left sidetrack the arguement or pick our candidate, again!!!

We need either Pawlenty or Cain. An whoever is going to win in 2012, they will win because they focused on the issues at hand like the economy and the budget, not on their opponent. Though you do need to focus on your opponent to an extent, but it should not be their primary focus. Which is were I think most repubs will go wrong they will focus on obozo and nothing but obozo. So they will suffer for that.

Pawlenty impresses me with his conservative values and common sense recommendations for how to fix the sorry state of our government. The only problem is that he is not really sticking out from the rest of the pack right now. He will have to come up with a defining platform that identifies him as the best one to defeat Obama and save the country from this socialist/progressive threat.

My biggest fear is that many of these Repub candidates will cancel each other out by trashing each other in the coming year. Let’s hope they run honorable campaigns worthy of the office they are reaching for, and not start to use the deplorable tactics employed by progressives. They need to stay focused on debunking and then defeating Obama, and let the person with the best chance of doing so…..do so!

Sadly, the leftist MSM will most likely choose our nominee for us again, ala John McCain.
      —————————————————
No – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no – no …. we must NOT let that happen again. We, as in “WE THE PEOPLE” have to make sure it is we as a right-leaning majority, are the ones picking our nominees. Do NOT listen to the GOP establishment or the MSM. Heck, don’t fall for any Media hype. We can settle our differences on venues like the Blaze, or…

Or better yet, come by the tens of thousands to the Freedom Jamboree at the end of September for 4 days of Music, Speeches, Work-Shops, Activist training, Fellowship, Food, etc… but most importantly, take part in the vote whereby we will slect our Nominee for President to run against Obama in 2012. You better start going then. Whoever gets the nod, I sure hope they talk with West about VP, unless of course West runs for the big chair.
      —————————————————–
      BINGO!

I firmly believe that West is one of 3 possibles that could beat Obama. So far, none of the candidates that have been talked about have the juice to beat Obama. Sad but true! It’s going to take a very special person to beat Obama this go round. This will be the most expensive and the dirtiest presidential race in the last 100 years. Expect anything and everything to happen because the left will stop at NOTHING to give Obama his 4 more years. On top of that there are way too many enemies within, and outside enemies that want Obama in power for very different reasons. The political class on the left want him strong, while the Islamic Nations want a weak president like him to deal with. I could go on all night on this subject, but I won’t.

There are so many problesm about to hit the fan all at once that we are going to need a candidate that won’t take crap from anyone, and someone that has been battle-tested and has been proven battle-strong. This is no time for learning ‘leadership’ on the fly, they have to have it from day one. Col West has it! Forget the establishment candidates right now because none of them so far has what we need. I know exactly waht most of you are thinking though… “anyone will be better than Obama”. Very true, but they have to be able to beat him first and it’s not going to be as easy as some would have you believe. The left has their saviour and they are not about to let him go without one heck of a fight.

Everybody into the pool .. whoever they attack the MOST should be the candidate .. not what R’s did with McCain and let the Dems pick the candidate. Don’t let the Dems “tell’ you who can beat Obama .. a good candidate and $5 – $6 gas should do it!

Should get real interesting when Hillary Clinton challenges Obama!

Sorry, but…a weak noncommittal candidate with little passion
is how I remember him during the 2008 primaries.
I thought he probably was an excellent dentist.

He always seemed pleasant and agreeable….a nice person.
I don’t remember him taking any stance that could be controversial.
He seemed so careful in trying to appeal to the voters….

Remember that undecided Senate election from his state…the comedian?
In 2008. When Pawlenty was live on the radio with Hannity,
Hannity told him that he should immediately secure the ballots…
lock up all the ballot boxes.

Pawlenty thought that was a good idea…he said that he had not yet done that.
Then…as more and more ballots were found…the Liberal comedian won the race.

Our next president must be one really nasty pr*&ck to fight all the special interests with their hands in the taxpayer pocket. Farmers, business, community organizers, welfare queens, Wall Streeters, unions and many, many others will fight to near death to maintain their privileges. Chris Christie is a pr*&ck, Trump is a pr*&ck — Pawlenty, Romney, Huckabee and the others have a tendency to compromise and “get along” rather than take the necessary stand against the plundering of our national treasure.

I really like Allen West and Herman Cain, so far from what I am seeing. Tim Pawlenty not very excited about. His stance on Global Warming and ethanol are rather troubling. I have always liked Ron Paul but he will never be able to get enough votes to become President.

I do not think Allen West or Herman Cain can either as it does take a tremendous amount of resources and an organization to win the Presidency. They would either one of them make for a tremendous VP ticket and that would launch them into the future position as President.

My first choice is Mitt Romney and the reasons for that are many. Most importantly our troubles in our Nation and world are very complex, beyond severe and extremely troubling. Mitt Romney is the best problem solver in the entire world. He has absolutely an impeccable record of solving very complex problems and may actually be the most qualified person for President in our nation’s history.

I do not think there is a tougher person in this country than Mitt Romney. You do not get to his level of accomplishment in the 21st century business world without being tough as nails. Do not let his smile and nice guy image fool you in the least. Abe Lincoln was a very nice guy also and I am telling you that Mitt Romney has the wisdom on the level of Abe Lincoln and is a very unselfish individual. He demonstrated that when he immediately got behind John McCain after the bitter rivalry he had in the 2008 election. That took a very big man to do that and do it enthusiastically. I know as one of his volunteers and supporters he immediately started sending requests for volunteers and contributions to work to get McCain elected and stop Obama.

You really need to research this guy out as I can see you do not really know him or you would definitely would not be downing him. Even if he does not win the election you will not find a more loyal, hardworking and dedicated advocate and cheerleader for the candidate that you are wanting to win as this guy is a real team player and only wants what is best for this country.

everybody calm down there are a lot of potential contenders and I for one look foward to the debate, it will be good for the country to hear a lot of conservative voices beat up the progressive thought and actions going on now.
We will end up with the best choice in the end and it will be a true leader not this clown or puppet in our house now!
