Pelosi Compares DREAM Act Passing to Founders Gaining Independence

Possibly seeing how successful the Tea Party was by hearkening back to the Founding Fathers, Nancy Pelosi did the same thing on Wednesday night while announcing passage of the DREAM Act. According to her, passing the bill is just like the Founders winning independence:

From schools, welfare, cal-med, hospitals, classrooms 30 plus, free lunches, and the list goes on and on.
And how about something as simple as this one. If you play sports in school and i will pick soccer for a example. It cost $275.00 for each player with this you get a uniform you have to return, 2 practice shirts and a bag with your name on it. But if your family does make enough money for the payment and your family shows no income the burden of cost goes to the other families that can pay and do pay taxes and do declare their income.
And that is just one of thousands of issues facing working parents in ca. And a big reason why ca is going bankrupt.
And then you get 20 billion in debt, no budget and the unions helping big time in the process.

This monstrosity of a DREAM Act bill is full of loopholes and the threat of rampant fraud, and these so-called “children” up to the age of 30 would then be able to sponsor the rest of their family members… Many of these “children” already have children!
Rewarding illegal behavior while punishing legal behavior (law-abiding tax payers who would suddenly have that much more competition for ever-dwindling jobs) is not only economically wrong, but morally wrong. If passed, this so-called DREAM Act would be a direct slap in the face to all legal immigrants who followed the rules and Americans alike.
May our members of the Senate honor the majority will of the American people and stop this madness by opposing the DREAM Act amnesty!

Pelosi: In the 1800′s, this country was careful with the immigration policy. They wanted to be sure immigrants “assimilated” —you don’t even know what it means to assimilate. I guess you thought every city had a “Chinatown”.

They aren’t illegals when they are in Mexico. It’s like the whole Meteoroid/Meteorite thing. We call them meteoroids (Mexicans) when they are out in space (not in US). Once the meteoroid (Mexican) impacts with Earth (crosses the border) we call it a meteorite (an illegal).
*Disclaimer, I know not all illegals are Mexicans. All illegals ARE illegal. And all illegals are NOT American.

Neither is Obama’s claim that we have a tax cut when it is only maintaining current tax rates that have been in force for the last ten years. Then having the gall to lie by inference that this will test to see if it will work. His only goal is to get re-elected and not start a truly open dialogue on what actually works and what doesn’t.
What will work (and even I might actually vote for him if he actually did it) would be an actual tax cut (Regan style) to ALL levels and make it…..(drum roll) ….PERMENANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the mathematically challenged an actual tax cut (Regan style) means a rate that is less, not equal, not more than. Further for the mathematically challenged here’s an example:
Bush tax cut rate as it has been for the last ten years is 45% on the rich (let’s say). Now supposing it is 45% if Obama were to change it to 35% would that be a:
A) tax rate increase
B) tax rate decrease
C) no rate change
Woops! This just in! The Democrat caucus has voted against the so called “tax rate cut”.
This just put Obama back on the hook. Sorry PEBO!!!! You’ll have to now work harder for your 2012 run! Rupublicans if you’re really on our side and want to win in 2012 in January 2011 push for a permanent honest to God tax cut. Meaning Answer B) above!
