Pelosi Criticizes O‘Reilly for ’Hate’ Question During Obama Interview

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) thinks Bill O‘Reilly’s “hate” question during a pre-Super Bowl interview with President Obama was just “completely inappropriate.”
“Just seeing it again … I thought was a completely inappropriate question, of course beautifully handled by the president,” Pelosi told Gayle King on the Oprah Radio network, reports The Hill.
“To hear this used in the presence of the president of the United States — I think we all have to recognize that while we disagree with people, and may think that they are wrong,“ the word ”hate” should never be used, she explained.
The exhcange between the president and O‘Reilly centered around people’s perception about Obama:
“Does it disturb you that so many people hate you?” O’Reilly asked Obama. When Obama chuckled, O’Reilly reiterated that it was a serious question.
“The people who dislike you don’t know you,” Obama then responded. “The folks who hate you don’t know you; what they hate is whatever funhouse mirror image of you is out there.” He later said he doesn’t take it personally and that the position requires “thick skin.”
The interview featured an O’Reilly that did not shy away from tough questions, but also joked with the president throughout.

He and Fox no longer hold their feet to the fire but watch tonight because he will say he really grilled the usurper . Where was the question “ Why are we not drilling our own oil and coal ” and If you have a birth certificate then shut everybody up and show it ? ” . These are the kind of questions that should have been asked not “ who do you think is going to win ” . Almost sounded like Chris Matthews .

I felt like the questions were from 4th graders. I didn’t learn one thing new from the interview. I understand that Bill had to pay close attention to not letting Obama grand stand and take over the interview, he had said that while talking to Laura Ingram this morning. I know that there is more of the interview coming that was not shown last night, but so far, the part of it I saw were just lacklustre. I would also give it a C. Nothin’ special.

A week ago I attended and spoke at a private conference in California, which was hosted by two very successful and prominent businessmen. These businessmen and their wives have hosted this same conference in Palm Springs for the last eight years, where many of the invited attendees are also successful people.
Attendees heard presentations and participated in discussions on issues of national importance. The conference was held at a very nice private resort, but this year for the first time the conference was protested by 1,000-plus union members representing various labor organizations.
They gathered across the street from the main entrance of the resort, hoping to get some media attention such that the conference would be disrupted. They did get some media attention, but the conference was not interrupted. Maximum on-site security plus local police assistance prevented that from happening.
Many of them wore their union-identifying T-shirts, such as Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and carried signs objecting to a private gathering by private citizens on private property.
They had megaphones leading chants toward the resort, expressing their objections to those assembled. They rushed the police line knowing that they would be arrested. About 25 of them got their wish.
Their objections? The attendees were successful and conservative, with the audacity to have a meeting and talk about shared beliefs in limited government, our free market system and constitutional liberties.
My initial reaction, and that of many others, was to wonder how anyone could object to a group of citizens peacefully assembling – people who happened to be like-minded conservatives in a free country like ours. The only obvious answer is that they do not want a free country consisting of people who can think and make decisions for themselves. They want a country dominated by big government in our lives and union domination of businesses and of our workforce.
Conservative voters are fighting back against big government and unfair union practices against businesses through the ballot box. Just consider the impressive result of last November’s elections in Congress, governorships and state legislatures around the country. As conservatives continue to make congressional and legislative gains, the liberals and the unions are resorting to demonstrations and even violence to shut us up, or worse yet, to stop us from even daring to think and believe differently from their view of the world.
This type of liberal lunacy and attempted intimidation is not going to work. Too many people are smarter than that, and too many people are not going to just surrender their right to assemble, or any other rights in a free country. The people of Illinois successfully made their case to a federal judge to remove an injunction not allowing school children to have a moment of silence at the beginning of their school day.
I can only speculate that the lunatic that filed for the injunction in the first place was afraid that the school children might think about God. If the liberals are that afraid of an energized conservative movement in this country, then we are winning.
Big Brother government not only wants to tell us what to eat, how much to eat, when to eat, when to retire, how much to retire on, when to get sick and how to die, they want to tell us when to think, what to think, and when to not think at all.
That dog won’t hunt. Liberal lunacy is not in our national DNA.

I strongly disagree with his policies, but he might be a nice guy, personally. I know many people like that, but I don’t hang around them.

I actually hate Nancy “fake smile” pelosi more than Obama. When asked a question she has no freakin idea what she is talking about and just throws out several key words that support her position. She repeats them 2 or 3 times and that is her response. I think she is a brain dead liberal.

I saw two men GUIDE her down a House aisle one day. First I thought it was gentlemanly, but as I watched, it became clear she was being steered. I thouight, “Good grief! She’s too drunk to walk straight!”

The term is vital to prevent intelligent debate or thought regarding any leftist cause: If a business owner fires someone for being incompetent they are hateful, unless they are not black, hispanic, Jewish, female, gay or liberal, then of course they deserve it.

It just wasn’t a good question–not the kind of question that someone interviewing the President of the United States should lower themselves to. If you don’t respect that man, then you at least have to honor the office and at least try to be a halfway decent journalist.

I have had a couple of people email me privately and saying some pretty nasty things to me about my attitude, but I do not care. So I’m going to repeat… The BS that I point out in my opening paragraph is just one of the reasons why I have cut-out as many progressives (and their influences) of my daily life. Will continue to do so until they learn what it is to be human and civil again, but I’m not holding my breath!
