With victory in her liberal district a near certainty, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dismisses the notion she should debate her Republican challenger, John Dennis, and insists her time is better spent working to maintain the Democrats’ majority:

Posted on October 15, 2010 at 5:41pmMy wonderment is at the sheer hatred for America, the majority in her district must have for freedom.
Do they not realize, that the kind statements she made during the Healthcare debate and the way she is running her congress are the very thing they mostly complain the Religious people do to them?
Why don’t the people in her district see that more government is less freedom? Eventually because there is a vote, others who hate them and thier lifestyles, will (not maybe), but will come to power.
When they come to power and try to force them to “live right”, where will they turn? Isn’t it obvious from her comments during the debate that she thinks she is ruling something?
This is quite dangerous to your continued freedom, and mine. We may not be a perfect system here in America, but freedoms that we have, allowed you to make the progress you have made. Why throw it away?

Pelosi is a disgrace and a traitor to America, I only hope after she loses her job as a no-brain speaker that she will be sent exactly where she belongs PRISON! Just another of Obama (El Cockaroach)’s cockroaches from the sewer. America is on to Nancy Pelosi and soon she will be at least using her own money instead of using the taxpayers money. Posted on October 15, 2010 at 5:15pmThis is a perfect example of why Prop 20. in California NEEDS TO PASS!!!! This finishes the work began in 2008 to get redistricting decisions away from self-interested state legislators and into the hands of a bi-partisan commission. This measure adds Congressional districts. Nancy Pelosi will never, ever, ever, ever, lose her district. She knows this. That‘s why she doesn’t want to “bother” debating. BTW, Prop 27. MUST FAIL AS WELL. 27 is the politicians trying to rest back that control to themselves. YES on 20 – NO on 27

It won’t be much longer however, until California collapses and falls off into the ocean. One place I will never step foot in again, for it is now the armpit of the world. Posted on October 16, 2010 at 6:48amI have a question – do you think any of your Tea Party candidates that win in November will be able to read the bills any better? They will have staff members who will read the bills and report to the Senator or Congress Person – nobody in Congress or who will get in Congress can possibly read all the bills -and it is absurd if you think they can. If you believe they can, then you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about – but then why should I be surprised! http://wp.me/pYLB7-fg
Report Post »SDReams
Posted on October 17, 2010 at 2:31am@WalkWithMe1966: Do you even hear what you are saying? The bills are going through the lawmaking machine at such an insane rate that nobody can actually read them. Isn’t the solution obvious? A true limited government Tea Party candidate would support legislation that would -require- that every member of Congress sign an affidavit that they had read every bill they intend to vote “yes” on. Naturally, this would force Congress to make bills more concise, and to slow down in their hog-wild lawmaking. Of -course- any respectable Tea Party candidate would read every bill… because if he had his way, the frequency and complexity of legislation would be reduced to a level that is manageable. Most bills are passed in ignorance of Article 1, Section 8… and the 10th Amendment of the Constitution anyway… so just returning to Constitutional government would solve most of this issue.

Posted on October 15, 2010 at 5:00pmPelosi Economics:
Speaker of the House, Pelosi’s statements on economic stimulus and unemployment insurance shows either a complete lack of understanding of Economics or extremely evil intent. A stupid person could not obtain Ms. Pelosi’s position in life; therefore, the only alternatives are ignorance or evil intent.
Our problem is not the distribution or the consumption of wealth. Wealth must be created before it can be either distributed or consumed so the problem is the creation of wealth.
Government force is only effective in the redistribution and consumption of wealth. Force cannot be used to create wealth. Only economic freedom promotes the production of wealth. The fact that force is totally impotent in the creation of wealth is proven by the thousands of years of tyranny that preceding the Industrial Revolution. Ms. Pelosi’s solutions only involve the use of force to redistribute and consume wealth.
Wealth, unlike energy, can be both created and destroyed and the surest way to destroy wealth is the use of force. Once our wealth has been destroyed or consumed, all of Ms. Pelosi’s proposed solutions will also be totally impotent.
Remember, both Hitler’s and Mussolini’s coup required a severe economic crisis. Any economy that encourages consumption and discourages production of wealth is certainly headed into a severe economic crisis. The transfer of wealth to political cronies and loss of freedom contained in the first Stimulus Bill only discourages the creation of wealth.
What is your opinion? Is Ms. Pelosi ignorant or is she just evil? If you believe that she is ignorant, do you think her ignorance can be cured? Please suggest a solution.
But remember, ”IGNORANCE CAN BE CURED, BUT STUPIDITY IS FOREVER!”

Posted on October 15, 2010 at 5:13pm“What is your opinion? Is Ms. Pelosi ignorant or is she just evil? If you believe that she is ignorant, do you think her ignorance can be cured? Please suggest a solution.”
Ignorance and evil are not necessarily mutually exclusive. There are mad scientists and humanitarian nit-wits. Pelosi is very narrow-minded and her ideological hang-up runs deep. She is like a mule that puts on its own blinders for fear of seeing any perceived evil (ie: deer in headlights look) which may distract her from her compulsive and relentless drive to save the world from its innately evil self.
Report Post »slickmeister
Posted on October 15, 2010 at 5:39pmI would say misguided. While I don’t believe Pelosi is the sharpest knife in the drawer she definitely had enough wile to climb into the Speaker chair.
Truth is, this woman has been indoctrinated from birth to believe in Marxist/progressive ideals and all of its tenets. They’re ingrained in her soul. Which means no amount of “education” will ever convince here that her core beliefs are false.
Which is why she cannot be reasoned with, compromised with or tolerated in a position of power. The only thing you can do with a hardened ideologue like San Fran Nan is defeat or marginalize her.

Posted on October 15, 2010 at 6:55pmThis is my opinion upon ms Pelosi – her actions bespeak of evil intentions. Flaunting of all moral ethics, thievery, power grabbing, flaunting the will of the people of America, and seeking to destroy the constitution she swore to protect and uphold.
Clueless she is not, neither is she lacking from cunning or intelligence. She has grown up as a member of a political family and sees herself (in my oppinion) as the rightful ruling class of all the American people who cannot look out for themselves.
At the very least this again is straight out evil intent and actions; at worst, I say it qualifies for a look into treason charges.

Previous documents received by the non-profit watchdog group revealed that Pelosi’s travel “cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol,” according to Judicial Watch.
For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.
