Can you give an example of anyone claiming that criticism of Sarah Palin was “traitorous”? I don’t believe that claim was ever made.
Now, “Slanderous” is a different story. About 2 days after Palin was chosen by McCain for the VP slot, stories started popping up that she was not actually the mother of her son, and that her oldest daughter was the mother. Actually, I think that one should be files under “classless” as well.
There are other examples, but that one really stands out to me. This add speaks directly about Pelosi’s policies and are not at all comparable to the hit pieces that were lobbed at Palin. Apples to oranges, bud.
As for the content of the advertisement: I think it’s a little unfair. Nancy Pelosi makes the Wicked Witch of the West look like Mother Theresa.

Tell the organizer that you don’t have an address but you want to vote for Pelosi. The Community Organizer will provide you with an dummy address and get you registered. Tell the county voter registrar that you will be out of the city in November and ask for an absentee ballot. Then Vote.

Generally speaking, it seems that most people are turned off by this kind of personal thing and prefer you slash the opposing side to smithereens on the issues.
