Responding to a question of whether or not Democrats will pledge to fight for Obamacare, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave America’s future a little advice last Friday — don’t be too quick to follow your aspirations. After all, now you can stay on your parent‘s insurance until you’re 26:

I seriously think this lady thinks shes God and and believes her constituents [common Americans] are retards.
Shes either evil due to her intentional conning of the US populace or shes absolutely delusional. I’m leaning towards delusional.
I view Pelosi in the same light I view as a 5-year-old child playing “house” with their make believe friends.
Its almost like she actually believes that what she says will somehow become reality just because she – the morally superior being – spoke it.

If the insurance companies can’t charge for the additional insured they will be broke and out of business in no time…oh wait, that was the goal wasn‘t it they just couldn’t come out and say that cause no one wants that. Maybe that is why there is so much support for the TEAParty. You see how those dots are connected? Perhaps you could use logic to begin connecting your own dots?
GnomeChomsky
Posted on September 27, 2010 at 6:21pmIt wouldn’t be an additional insured. They would just remain on the policy as a dependent like they always were, youre not adding someone new. That is assuming your policy covers your family, spouse and children, and not just you.

Since 22-26 yr olds are in the lowest risk category, it shouldn’t cost much more to add them to our pool. It’s a better idea than having him go without, or hoping his struggling employer will foot the bill.

FACT: The State (LA) and Local governments (New Orleans) have the primary responsibility for the response to emergencies in their jurisdictions. The Federal government must be invited into help by the State and Local government.
FACT: The Federal government is REQUIRED BY LAW to have an emergency preparedness plan in place in case of an oil spill off the coast of the US, and is responsible for the response.
How’d we do on that oil spill? Was amazing to see the Federal government spring into action and solve that one… oh wait.

Report Post »IvanK
Posted on September 27, 2010 at 3:51pmGuess who else used to burn books? You guessed it!
A little history lesson – that won‘t be taught in today’s indoctrination schools:
Report Post »The term Nazi is a short form of the German Nationalsozialismus; the ideology was institutionalized in the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei), the Nazi Party.
Under the Nazi regime after 1933, the compulsory health insurance system became even more centralized and controlled. The insurance funds lost almost all autonomy and became subservient to the Fuhrer principle. And the employer share of health-insurance payments was increased from one-third to fifty percent. Once the Nazis were in power, explained Melchior Palyi, in Compulsory Medical Care and The Welfare State (1949):
The ill-famed Dr. Ley, boss of the Nazi labor front, did not fail to see that the social insurance system could be used for Nazi politics as a means of popular demagoguery; as a bastion of bureaucratic power; as an instrument of regimentation, and as a reservoir from which to draw jobs for political favorites and loanable funds for rearmament.
National Health Insurance was tried before in NAZI Germany. Read more about it here:
http://www.amatecon.com/etext/dosm/dosm-ch02.html
That’s right folks – NAZI is an acronym for Nation Socialism – where we are headed “possibly”? Every liberal you’ve ever heard refers to conservatives as NAZI’s – Which of course is ironic because it is they themselves that extol the ideals of the original NAZI party. Let’s see, Liberals demand we ban guns, censor public radio and Fox News, demanded that the “undesired babies” be aborted, etc, etc.

Report Post »tobywil2
Posted on September 27, 2010 at 5:21pmSpeaker of the House, Pelosi’s statements on economic stimulus and unemployment insurance shows either a complete lack of understanding of Economics or extremely evil intent. A stupid person could not obtain Ms. Pelosi’s position in life; therefore, the only alternatives are ignorance or evil intent.
Our problem is not the distribution or the consumption of wealth. Wealth must be created before it can be either distributed or consumed so the problem is the creation of wealth.
Government force is only effective in the redistribution and consumption of wealth. Force cannot be used to create wealth. Only economic freedom promotes the production of wealth. The fact that force is totally impotent in the creation of wealth is proven by the thousands of years of tyranny that preceding the Industrial Revolution. Ms. Pelosi’s solutions only involve the use of force to redistribute and consume wealth.
Wealth, unlike energy, can be both created and destroyed and the surest way to destroy wealth is the use of force. Once our wealth has been destroyed or consumed, all of Ms. Pelosi’s proposed solutions will also be totally impotent.
Remember, both Hitler’s and Mussolini’s coup required a severe economic crisis. Any economy that encourages consumption and discourages production of wealth is certainly headed into a severe economic crisis. The transfer of wealth to political cronies and loss of freedom contained in the first Stimulus Bill only discourages the creation of wealth.
What is your opinion? Is Ms. Pelosi ignorant or is she just evil? If you believe that she is ignorant, do you think her ignorance can be cured? Please suggest a solution.
But remember, ”IGNORANCE CAN BE CURED, BUT STUPIDITY IS FOREVER!”

Posted on September 27, 2010 at 6:15pmIvank: To try to connect the Nazis to socialists (on the basis of National Socialists Party) demonstrates a complete lack of comprehension of any of the various political systems of government. They are no more connected than ground beef and ground zero. Let’s try this exercise. John F Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas. John F Kennedy Airport is located in Queens, New York. John F Kennedy wanted a queen, so he was murdered in Dallas, Texas which is located in New York.
See, it just doesn’t work. Not only does one need some basic background information when discussing political science , one needs to be able to follow the basic tenets of logic. Your statements indicate a profound deficiency of both.
You’ve got to stop listening to Glenn Beck, because he is turning your brain into lukewarm oatmeal (good advice consisting of logic and hyperbole, which some may find insulting, although it is not intended to be so).

Posted on September 27, 2010 at 6:38pm@COFX I respectfully disagree with your assessment. I’ve posted the link about burning books in the footer of my comments because it is an outrage. I am with you when something truly poses a national security threat but this book did not. Do you know what information was redacted from the book? The NY Times listed some of it and it is absurd:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/18/us/18book.html
The DIA bought all the copies and burned them. But guess what. The DIA is an executive branch agency serving at the pleasure of the Secretary of Defense and the President. All of the redacted information is open source information, much of it available in the dictionary or on Wikipedia.
I’m just wondering…when did a hyphen become a national security threat? That’s the kind of stuff that was redacted from this book AFTER the army had already reviewed it and the book had been published.
Taken in context with all of the other things this administration is doing to take our freedom away, this book burning is truly frightening to me and I suspect to many others.
Alas, we are entitled to respectfully disagree with each other. However, I will probably continue to mention it in my posts as I think it is an outrageous and gratuitous affront to free speech.
All the Best COFX

Also thank you for the link – I had not previously seen that particular coverage of the story. I had not been aware of anyone who had actually seen the unedited version of the book, as the New York Times has a copy, and if the NYT is accurate in their comparisons of the 1st and 2nd editions, then I stand corrected on the issue – I may have spoken too soon. My apologies! A couple of other stories I had read on this mentioned “all” published copies of the first edition were purchased by the Pentagon. I was under the impression no one had actually seen the text and were only speculating on it’s content. My bad for not doing my homework!
