Perry Jokes About Gaffe From Last Debate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry isn’t forgetting about the Department of Energy this time around.

In Saturday’s debate, Perry jokes about his gaffe from a debate four days ago, when he forgot the third Cabinet department he would eliminate if elected president.

Perry says he’s glad moderator Scott Pelley of CBS News remembered to ask him about the Energy Department.

Pelly says he’s had some time to think about it.

“Me too,” Perry cracks back.

Perry has used humor this week to try and deflect his mistake, even stopping by the David Letterman show in New York. Perry says he wants to eliminate Education, Commerce and Energy Departments.

Republicans were debating for the second time in four days in South Carolina, the first-in-the-South primary state.

I’ve got a new campaign song for Gov. Perry. Check this out:

Mind you, it‘s a joke and I’m not making fun of him. After all, he made fun of himself by going on Letterman, so what’s the diff? I chose this video of the song ’cause of what they’re wearing in the video. Cowboys! Well, not exactly what Rick Perry would wear right now but back then, who knows?
I can just picture him dancing to this back when the video was made. “Oops Upside Your Head”.

I remember this song and still sing it to myself when I make a dumb mistake.

The last gasps from a dying campaign. This man needs to drop out so his remaining support can go to a more able candidate.

Why would you say that…he is right in the middle with at least 3 below him and has more campaign money than any of them.
