Perry Takes Another Shot at Bernanke and Money-Printing

In a Perry administration, not only would Ben Bernanke be removed as the chairman of the Fed but the Texas governor would also make sure that the central bank would be out of the money-printing business, Perry told CNBC on Thursday.
Perry has already made his feelings towards the Federal Reserve chairman clear, and during his interview said that someone else would be in charge of monetary policy should he unseat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
“The statement towards Chairman Bernanke needs to be very clear to him, that making monetary policy to cover up bad fiscal policy is just bad public policy,” Perry said.
“What we’re seeing is a Fed that is getting involved in things that frankly it does not need to be involved with. Printing money doesn’t do anything at this particular juncture except make the dollars in our pocket worth less money, plus it puts us in jeopardy of greater inflation in the future,” he said.
Perry has been notoriously critical of Bernanke, drawing attention at one point for stating that if the central bank chief ever came to Texas “we would treat him pretty ugly” for this actions.
Later in the interview, Perry also took on Warren Buffett.
Asked for his thoughts on the “Buffett Tax” proposed for millionaires, Perry said the billionaire chairman of Berkshire Hathaway is out of touch with what the economy needs to thrive, reports CNBC.
“Mr. Buffett is a real intelligent individual, but I can promise you he doesn‘t know what’s going on in places where the job creation is at zero because of over-taxation and over-regulation,” Perry said.

Posted on October 2, 2011 at 10:04amDude, you are an idiot and frankly Ron Paul can’t get off “the rails of the crazy train” – he’s firmly mounted on a runaway.
Perry is a great state executive, in charge of the 15th largest economy in the world (and it’s growing). I hope all you jack*sses enjoy it when one of these guncontrol, sharia judge loving fools like Christie or Romney gets the nod. This country richly deserves whatever it gets – elections have consequences, as we are learning. We’ll be just fine here in Texas whether the rest of you flame out or not – believe that.

Herman Cain seems to have all the answers. Ron Paul would be great at the fed (auditing / closing it down) but thinks we shouldn’t have eliminated AlWaki….REALLY????

Posted on September 30, 2011 at 6:14pmHe is better than Romney…..way better than Romney, please use a little bit of common sense during the primary. If it comes down to Perry and Romney and there is no chance for the candidate of your choice to win, such as Cain, who is my choice. Vote for whomever will keep romney out of running for the white house, he is republican only in party and is liberal at heart, dont let him fool you folks, I believe he is a sleeper. As for giving Perry such a hard time, give him a break, yes he has made some bad decisions, but his good ones far outway the bad. As I said before I am a Herman Cain supporter, but there is no reason to talk so hatefully about Perry, as it stands, he and Cain are our best chance of keeping Romney’s liberal views out of the republican party and who knows, there might be a few jobs created along the way without spending anymore thrice borrowed tax payers money.

I disagree with Cain’s tax plan but he has accomplished a lot in the private sector. Perry has been governing Texas on autopilots and participating in crony politics. Hos only accomplishment being a career politician.

Posted on September 30, 2011 at 4:31pmRick Perry…Abolishing the Federal Reserve? Right…Like THAT will ever happen. Rick’s simply saying what needs to be said to get elected. Thanks to the fact that he supports the idea of illegal immigrants receiving in-state tuition for college, the fact that he received tens, perhaps even HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars from Merck for using the executive order to force 12-year-old females to undergo that potentially deadly injection of that Gardisil vaccine, the fact that he’s a huge supporter of the Trans. Texas Corridor, and all those other undeniable issues within his voting record, I think it won’t be too long before Rick Perry is forced to call it quits on his presidential campaign.

It’s been done before:
“Why The United States Bank Was Closed
President Andrew Jackson
July 10, 1832
A BANK of the United States is in many respects convenient for the Government and useful to the people. Entertaining this opinion, and deeply impressed with the belief that some of the powers and privileges possessed by the existing Bank are unauthorized by the Constitution, subversive of the rights of the States, and dangerous to the liberties of the people, I felt it my duty, at an early period of my administration, to call the attention of Congress to the practicability of organizing an institution combining all its advantages, and obviating these objections. I sincerely regret that, in the act before me, I can perceive none of those modifications of the Bank charter which are necessary, in my opinion, to make it compatible with justice, with sound policy, or with the Constitution of our country.”

Posted on October 2, 2011 at 2:17amThe instate tuition legislation was passed in 2001 with a veto proof vote. Only 4 NO votes. The students pay for their tuition. The Gardisil vaccine was not passed by the Legislature and no doses of vaccine were ever given. Parents in TX may opt out of any vaccine. The Trans Corridor was also not passed, so non issue. He did not receive hundreds of thousands of dollars from Merck for his campaign. He was elected 3 times as Governor and if he was not conservative, he would not have been elected.

Posted on September 30, 2011 at 2:56pmDr. Ron Paul, MD, Lt Col, USAF, Ret., though much maligned, recognizes as do Tea Party patriots, the urgent need to return to the Constitution as our first, best and last hope to save our nation.
America should listen to Congressman Paul very carefully because he’s correct.
Rather than mortgage our freedom, we must limit our bloated federal government to Constitutionally enumerated functions, while properly relying on the states for additional governance as their citizens deem necessary.
Except for Dr. Paul, politicians avoid the real cause of our economic problems, which is the Federal Reserve. It’s caused a century of turmoil including the great depression and a 95% devaluation of our once ‘good as gold’ dollar, now replaced by fiat Federal Reserve notes.[1]
As Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy, Dr. Paul is more knowledgeable about monetary policy than any other member of Congress. He is absolutely correct about how to solve the economic problems threatening our jobs, our children’s future and the very survival of America as a free nation!
We don’t want to waste years with a detailed audit of the Federal Reserve that accomplishes nothing economically. We want to abolish the Federal Reserve and return to Constitutional sanity!

He became politically active the day Richard Nixon took the USD off the Gold Standard.
He has NEVER voted to raise taxes.
He has NEVER voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has NEVER voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has NEVER voted to raise congressional pay.
He has NEVER taken a government-paid junket.
He has NEVER voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted AGAINST the Patriot Act.
He voted AGAINST regulating the Internet.
He voted AGAINST the Iraq war.
He has NEVER voted for any legislation that would limit your freedom to eat the food you choose or take whatever vitamin supplement you choose.
He DOES NOT participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. Treasury every year.
He has the MOST donations form the military.
The MOST support of Independents.
The MOST respect out of any other candidate, much less politician,
Ron Paul. “The taxpayers best friend”

Posted on September 30, 2011 at 3:35pmI watched this about a year ago ; it’s an excellent video!
Federal Reserve Act, written by a group of bankers and sold as a sweet deal to Wilson. Even Wilson admitted later that he was hoodwinked by the bankers. But Nixon made it worse when he took the country’s currency off the gold standard. And then around 1991 Congress and Clinton repealed the Glass Steagall Act which many economists considered a questionable act as it would put the taxpayer at risk of bailing out banks. Seems their predictions were correct.
