(The Blaze/AP)- Three people were hit with bullets Wednesday afternoon during an exchange of gunfire outside an Oklahoma courthouse, and an employee at a nearby library caught the frightening scene on his camera.
(Caution: Graphic Images)
According to the Daily Mail, authorities responded to a report of a person firing into the air between the Tulsa County Courthouse and the library. Deputies, including the one who was wounded, exchanged gunfire with the shooter, police said.
Injuries to the deputy and the bystander did not appear life-threatening, though the deputy was shot in both arms. No names were immediately released.
Emergency medical personnel said one man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and that two others were hospitalized — one in serious and one in fair condition.
John Fancher, a communications coordinator with the library, told The Associated Press that he heard gunshots and then raced to a nearby window to capture the scene on his camera.
“I see a guy barefoot nonchalantly just waving a gun in the air,” Fancher said.
“I’m thinking this is not the downtown I remember working in. I start snapping off some shots and he sits down, just casually sits down, gun in his hand and three sheriff‘s come out of the courthouse and I can’t hear what they’re saying.”
Fancher said the man turned around and stood up with his gun.
“That’s when (the deputies) did what they had to do,” he added.
Library Chief Executive Officer Gary Shaffer was returning from his lunch break when he saw a man with a leg wound being wheeled out of the library.
Shaffer said it wasn’t clear at the scene whether the suspect was wounded and tried to escape into the library, or if he was shot while trying to hide in the library.
Two Tulsa County District Court Judges said they were in courtrooms on the seventh floor when they saw the gunfire exchange. They told reporters the gunman fired at least two shots at the deputies, and deputies fired multiple rounds back only after ordering him to drop the weapon.
Police are still investigating a motive.

As for the wounded by stadards, what happened to the training, not supposed to shoot when there are innocents in the line of fire, sounds like the training budget has been cut or is substandard. But someone mentioned the coming civil war and the possible millions that may die, you are dead on! Americans have no idea what’s this communist Muslim aliance has planned for us and what is about to happen.

If I guy points a gun at me, someone else….or even you, I am shooting regardless of who is standing behind him.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 12:47pmI used to live in Tulsa, and I remember one day there was a 3 hour stand off 3 houses down from mine. After 3 hours the police finally stormed the house and found a guy passed out in the house, it was hilarious. Another thing that happened was one day when my kids were taking the 3 block walk home from school, I heard about a police chase, that just happened to be coming straight up the street I lived on ‘N. Yale’ and I went out to go toward the place they would cross, just before the kids got to the corner the police cruiser screamed by doing at a minimum of 70 mph, probably faster. I was pissed, if the crossing guard had been in the street with the children there would have been no way to get them to safety. I also remember a black guy killing two people, a black woman and white man when he robbed them, he got $2 from the guy, and not much more from the woman. I was glad to move away.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 11:49amWhy is he barefoot – he’s not naked. He’s covering his nakedness with darkness. What light came out of these photos? A barefoot shooter saying with his bare feet ‘I’m naked’, and police saying with their uniforms ‘I like order for myself’ but really being shambles in their hearts because they wear their order externally. Therefore it is a complete situation of dysfunction, but when darkness collides with darkness, light comes out of it.

Report Post »What do you mean “What do I mean?” It’s because you are not thoughtful. Here we have two sides of darkness in this situation. And me as an outside viewer can draw light from the situation, but both the police and the shooter draw only darkness. They draw the darkness away fro me whereby I can see light. And I can see that I neither want to be a crazed shooter or a policeman.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 12:08pmFor instance, even as the U.S boils down into turmoil, individual police and entire police units will have the hooks of the lord cast into their jaws and they will be spun about against each other as some light finds it’s way into their hearts. Perhaps when some of them begin to worry about mom and dad‘s electricity or they worry about grandma’s healthcare. But nevertheless they will be turned about. That‘s why I don’t worry.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 12:16pmTake for instance the French Revolution. They had built so many barriers in their hearts, and they had built so many walls, that when the light was cast upon them it turned into utter chaos, and the cockroaches scattered a million different directions. Well with all the walls you have allowed to be built in the United States, the very same thing is going to happen. And it‘s all everyone’s fault. And it‘s your fault you didn’t realize that‘s the very thing the Founding Father’s of the United States knew.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 12:51pmThere is no reason to craft your writing in the style of “Finnegan’s Wake”. If you want to communicate, speak a little more plainly. Your writing assumes that we have some preconceived knowledge of what you are thinking. “Light”, “darkness”; my good man, being arcane does not mean you are more intelligent than anyone else posting here. It comes of as snobbish and adds little to the conversation. Your writing style becomes a distraction.
