Obama Picking Up Where He Left Off

After returning from his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Politico‘s Matt Negrin reports that President Barack Obama is picking up where he left off: blaming Republicans.

“Unfortunately, this bill has been languishing in the Senate for months, held up by a partisan minority that won’t even allow it to go to a vote,” he said, speaking to reporters in the Rose Garden. “That makes no sense.”

Pounding the lectern, Obama continued: “Holding this bill hostage is directly detrimental to our economic growth. So I ask Senate Republicans to drop the blockade.”

Obama’s latest accusations against the so-called “Party of No” continue to fly in the face of the fact the Democrats hold majorities in both the House of Representatives and Senate.  The bottom line is that if Obama’s own party thought his bill was such a great idea, they would be able to pass it with ease.  Still, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell fired back, arguing that he and fellow Republicans would not relent because the bill amounts to a tax increase. Rather than “growing jobs as promised,” McConnell said, Democrats’ economic policies have done more harm than good.

The president’s remarks today came just one week after House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, called for Obama to fire Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and other members of the president’s economic team. “We do not have the luxury of waiting months for the president to pick scapegoats for his failing ‘stimulus’ policies,” Boehner told business leaders in Cleveland last week.

Keep an ear out on Tuesday as Boehner is expected to again go toe-to-toe with Obama over the president’s war strategy and past opposition of the successful Iraq troop surge.

Retiring Sen. George V. Voinovich, R-Ohio, said he plans to help push a package of small-business incentives through the Senate next week, a move that would give President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats a key victory on the economy in the final weeks before the November midterm elections. — NOT likely – people are starting to get sick of false promises/MISinformation; perhaps they are questioning why the unused/misused stimulus dollars are not used for small-business incentives, and why wasn’t small-business incentives the first priority for stimulus dollars, – rather than pork projects, paying off partners in crime – such as ACORN, and getting the corrupt healthscare started with establishing a council for comparative effectiveness research within the health and human services department. – -heritage-org Comparative Effectiveness in Health Care Reform: Lessons from Abroad February 4, 2009
The small-business bill is a top priority for Obama, who has called repeatedly on Senate Republicans to drop their weeks-long “blockade” of the measure. He mentioned it again during a speech Wednesday in a Cleveland suburb, arguing that the delay in the bill’s passage “is actually leading (small-business owners) to put off hiring.” – WHAT A JOKE – we’re supposed to believe this administration cares about small business – a tax for being alive/healthscare, is in the making; a tax for being a business too small to “adequately” control your carbon output/c*ap & tax was imperative to the corrupt in the WhiteHouse – there still working on the carbon tax, but people see the absurdity, so the bureaucrats gave the authority to EPA to mandate our carbon usage. Businesses know they could be burdened by the tax and spend/waste schemes currently spewed as good for America, and they are scared, as are many citizens, about what the next attack on American ideals will be.
Anyone that says NO to the current seek and destroy CAPITALISM/America mission will get votes.

    Attention Daglingbags:

Did your mother ponder abortion, when she discorvered your life was inside her womb?

Did she weigh out the abortion options, in her mind?

While I believe you should have been sniffed out early, in the 1st trimester, we
obviously are having to deal with her poor decision.

I may be a lot of things, but I am not too conservative to know when a sperm dud
like you should not be allowed life.

Too bad, you were not one of the 49,000,000 fetus aborted, since 1973.

Because there were some damn good people that were aborted and never had
the chance at life that you take so lightly.

Please don’t respond, unless you want to meet.

By the way, is your handle a subliminal reference to your prefered activities, when you are on your knees?

Seriously, I bet you’re mother regrets not aborting you and is ashamed of her weakness.

We should be glad. We are just getting started. If you check the numbers on “A”, New conservative sites & social networking, and “B” the volume collective conservative sites are getting, you will propably see the dramatic increase. Let the left accuse all they want, don’t take your eye off the prize. Our kids will one day live in a world where blame is unecessary. “There is no limit to what a man can do if he doesn‘t care who get’s the credit.” Let them talk.

After all his promises of transparency and bipartisanship. . .this President has spent all of his time with closed door sessions, locking out the Republicans at every turn, back door deals to pass legislation that most of America doesn’t want. Then asking the Republicans for ideas and then spending his time lecturing McCain about how he won. . .

His party holds the majority, for now, and still he can‘t get ’his’ bills out to be voted on. . .so he blames the Republicans and Bush, again and again and again. . .

He doesn’t govern, he reigns! He doesn’t believe in “We the People. . .”, only in “I the President.”

He thinks that the average American is too stupid, so he thinks it is his job to talk down to the people. . .

I am so sick of this President and all of his B.S.

Playing the blame game, that is all this infant can do – and the Republicans are not in the majority (YET). Blame the party in charge, he is a liar, liar, liar.

He has no clue on what to do, he has no jobs policy, he couldn’t create a job if the money was handed to him (oh wait billions were – oops sorry). They are so clueless right now, all the theorizing they did in college lectures just don’t work in the real world. Utopia can not be created by the government.

Get the message out, we are willing to work, America just needs the Government to make it simple. I’ve been trying for a loan on a property I own and have a larger mortgage now than I will have, because I will pay it down for a lower interest rate and terms. But it’s taken over two months, and my credit score is over 800. We need a willingness to lend and get the ball rolling. Things happen too slow. Instead, we get more red tape, more questions, more forms?

It is seriously turning out that post-partisan politics is simply blame, blame, blame. The Democrats would rather lay blame than realize that their control of the presidency, senate, and house were not enough. The former community organizer has failed to find success while controlling the executive and legislative branches of government. Says something about his losing ideas that his own party won’t stand together with him.

We did , we stood by when the Republicans and such warned of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac warning that what they were doing was going to be detrimental to our housing market as well as the economy. Some people that did effect like me. I know I cannot afford a 200,000 – 300,000 dollar home, therfore I did not buy one. Some people, ALOT OF PEOPLE feel for their rhetoric and bought into what FM / FM were selling and now when these mortgages came to a head, Hell they found out they could not afford them. ‘ I DIDNT KNOW I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS HOUSE ON A 30-40,000 A YEAR SALARY. They bit into it and took peoples money. The governmement was warned about it years ago and the OBAMA even gave them stimulace money. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE, unless maybe SOMEONE in the government is getting kick backs. That would be interesting. Our government is NOT in this for our interests, They are in it for there own. Look how how many of those Deocrats are being investigated for ethics charges, taking money kick backs. They are CROOKS, DEMOCRATS ARE CROOKS

This is true. Everyone has to be held accountable. Truth be told, we’re all responsible to a certain level, because we stood by and allowed this to happen. It is ultimately our responsibility and it’s time for us to begin to make it right. Our first opportunity to do that is November 2, 2010.

I believe the Republicans played a part, but the blame is on Barney Fudd Franks and Chris Donothing Dodd! They kept Prez Bush from making any changes to oversee Fannie and Freddie and preventing any oversight of the disgusting practices that REALLY BROUGHT ON THE MESS WE ARE IN TODAY! Thanks to the Progressives for protecting their “cash cow” while bankrupting it at the same time! Get real folks and go back and review those two twits and what they did to stop any action by the Bush administration!

To get something done, sometime you have to do something. I believe we should free up our land and our God to redeem us; we have the resources, and it would be a 30 or 40 year program. We would need to add incentives for companies to hire people; encourage companies to put factories in “wounded” places, add a small tariff on imported goods, a larger one on any new category of imports. From Pine Ridge to Detroit, we need the work. With a focused effort to use only USA oil and natural resources (would require drilling in many places) I belive there would be enough for a surplus, put millions of American’s to work with good paying jobs; allow more tax revenue as people would be working. We would need to get the EPA to lighten up on new refineries and Think about the 100 fold effect of such a move, as supply and support business pop up, and tax revenues build we could afford to invest in competitive technology, not force poor ideas like “cap and trade” (this only pays the score keeppers). And while doing this set a realistic plan to protect the environment and WORK our way out of the need for oil. I believe America has a bright future, but we need a leader sent that understands and a people that can hear. If you need a union, then establish one in advance of the effort to represent the worker, but the workers, all of us need to pull together as one. If we just do the right thing, one at a time. The Government could be the booster for us, Obama could be great if he would let go with industry. We can make product as good as anyone. Just give us the chance. Sometimes to move forward you must take a few steps back, or work around an issue. We need to hurry, the clock is ticking.

I like your ideas. Yes, it’s time to bring manufacturing…building things…back to America. I know in my heart that there r thousands of Americans out there, right now, who have ‘ideas’, but r terrified 2 implement their strategies. For Example…I just ordered 6 canvases from a company…they were all constructed in China! Why? What, Americans can’t construct a few pieces of wood and stretch canvas around them for less, considering this product is being shipped thousand of miles? Thought about it…and the issue is THE GOVERNMENT! Just add 30 to 20% to your product cost and there’s your problen. Can’t make a dime. So, why do it?
