Pilot Attempting Record-Setting Flight With Least Amount of Fuel…to Fight Global Warming

On Sunday, Matevz Lenarcic, a Slovenia biologist and experienced long-distance pilot, took off on a 10-week journey around the world in an ultra-light plane, on which he hopes will set a record for least amount of unleaded fuel used on such a voyage.

According to the Daily Mail, Lenarcic’s trip began yesterday afternoon from Slovenia to Morocco. Lenarcic plans to visit 60 countries on the seven continents, covering more than 60,000 miles. His plane — a Pipistrel Virus-SW914 – only weighs 640 pounds and can carry about 92 gallons of fuel, traveling about 2,300 miles.

Lenarcic isn’t just trying to fly around the world on the lightest plane using the least amount of fuel to set a record though. According to the Daily Mail, Lenarcic is taking part in the GreenLight WorldFlight project and during his trip will be collecting measurements of pollution at areas that have not yet been tracked:
“I want to make people understand that this world is the only one we’ve been given and if we destroy it, we and our descendants will be losing it for good,” Mr. Lenarcic said before taking off.

According to the project website, Lenarcic will be visiting 120 national parks as well as some of the world’s highest mountains including Mt. Everest and Kilimanjaro.

Solar panels: Big diesel burning machines need to extract raw materials from the earth. The Material needs to be melted by more fossil fuel. Fuel burning factories need to shape it into finished products. Finished products need to be hauled by more fuel burning vehicles to sites for installation. Gas powered vehicles need to drive to the site to maintain them in perpetuity. All to collect a little sunshine. Screw that! Burn oil!

Can you IMAGINE the ego that would be necessary to believe that you could INTENTIONALLY alter the climate to whatever you want it to be?
It is the EXACT same coin, just the other side, that we are told to accept as “science.”
When you can bring rain to the drought-vexed areas… When you can stop the rain from coming down causing floods… When you can control even a brief moment of ‘weather’… THEN, we can have a discussion about altering the entire planet’s climate!
Since it is so ridiculous to think we can intentionally alter the entire planet’s climate to our own desires, then it is even more ridiculous to think we could UN-intentionally alter it.
Not to mention, who are YOU to decide what the CORRECT temperature of the planet is? Perhaps the plante NEEDS to go through these cycles.
Lastly, when I see volcanoes belching millions of tons into the atmosphere, I have to laugh at the “WARMERS” for pointing their finger at the mote while ignoring the beams!

As a Commercial Pilot I can tell you that craft can not take much crosswind on takeoff or landing. It is a fair weather plane.
