Planned Parenthood Declares War on Catholic…Food Banks?

Even if you’re not a health care provider, or even a donor, be advised that saying “no” to Planned Parenthood will get you loads of hate mail, and possibly even a few abusive phone calls.

LifeSiteNews brings us the story of a food bank in Green Bay, Wisconsin, affiliated with a local Catholic Church, which was allegedly targeted not for refusing to donate to Planned Parenthood, but for refusing a donation from Planned Parenthood. Apparently, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Green Bay got a call from the local Planned Parenthood asking if they’d be willing to send a truck around to accept donations of food and/or money from the organization.

The food bank, sensing that Planned Parenthood was trolling for a photo opportunity with a truck that came from a Catholic organization, politely declined, citing religious objections and suggested some other food pantries. The response was possibly excessive. A worker at the pantry explains:

“Within 20 minutes I was getting phone calls and emails calling us [names]. The calls that day came from the Milwaukee area, where Planned Parenthood is headquartered. We have caller ID.”

[He] said he did tell one of the callers they could simply drop off their donation, “which happens about 100 times a day – in that case we don’t know where the food comes from. But if an organization wants a receipt, Paul’s Pantry has a gift acceptance policy. “If the donation is going to hurt us, we don’t accept it.”

Again, they were willing to take the donation, so long as those offering it were willing to bring the food to them. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin spun this eminently reasonable demand this way on their Facebook page:

The progressive blog The Daily Kos took this as their clue to post personal information(including phone numbers) for the clinic’s staff, while deriding their decision by claiming that “the poor and their hunger are being used as political chips by the callous right.”

As opposed to picking on a food bank, which isn’t remotely callous.

      We all need to be on the lookout for this kind of trickery and when it comes spring into action and fill any charitable void created by these Planned Parenthood monsters. I beleive this case in Wisconsin was a devine intervention. God is not just sitting on the sidelines when it comes to His work and His people.

      St Vinnie’s suggested other food pantries as well as suggesting anoyymous drop offs…apparently only a direct pick up from St Vinnie’s (complete with a receipt) was the only way Planned Parenthood wanted to “give individual access to food”. Planned Parenthood knows it’s days for receiving Federal money are numbered. It knows the Church will win the first amendment battle. A more vulgar display of exploitation you‘d be hard pressed to find than Planned Parenthood’s transparent attempt to sucker St Vinnie’s into given them a photo op. Props to St Vinnie’s.

      You are SO CORRECT. But they have “progressed” right into the toilet or worse, even to the gates of He!!.

      Planned “putritude” is not supporting PARENTHOOD! Is it supporting MURDER of the weakest among us, and God will not be silent forever. PP is teaching self-centeredness and greediness by providing ways to change the life we’ve chosen for ourselves, when we should have been making our original decisions on his Word and direction.

      Thank you St. Vincent dePaul’s for standing for TRUTH. I pray that our local unit prospers from your stand too!

      Stand for TRUTH, and Congress, get on the ball soon, or November will come very quickly!

      It is noteworthy that Planned Parenthood enables kids to shirk the responsibility for the consequences of their behaviors; teaches them that the consequenses of their actions can be avoided! What bigger lie is there than to deny YOUR progeny LIFE, because YOU DIDN’T THINK BEFORE YOU ACTED! It’s no wonder we have a child in the White House and a Congress full of them!       Do you really know the difference between first trimester abortion and last trimester aborions better known as partial birth abortions?Only last trimester abortions do what you are talking about.they don’t cut them up either.The women is given labor inducing drugs.At the appropriate stage she is dilated and a needle inserted that ends life and suctions the brain contents out.Its generally done only for a medical emergency[mother has cancer].medical malformation that the child would die from very shortly after birth.
      If you want to go on the prolife bandwagon at least have the facts straight.D&X isn’t done for elective reasons.Its done for medical reasons.

      objectivetruth: When a mother (yes the pregnant woman is a mother) carries into the third trimester and she is then induced and allowed to give (partial) birth in only to murder the child that is infanticide. You see that same child if allowed to live would have a fair to good chance to become a productive adult. In both cases the mother goes through the labor and postpartum issues except with the murder of the child there is also the extra emotional issues that follow.

      Most stuff on the Internet is pretty tame. I had to kill a few hours at a large university library some years back and did a lot of readin on Sanger and pp. I like to fact check. All the stuff on the Internet does not even start to touch on how evil she was. She may have been in deep psychosis with paranoid delusions about minorities. Now look at who worships her…………….and she didn’t even play pinball

      SHOCKINGNOT, Wasn’t PP started originally to eliminate the black community? How soon people forget. By the way did anyone else have a problem when posting to this story? My screen went white and when I went back to the Blaze there was nothing other than ads. Had to go baqck to home page and start over to get back. My Aol and FB has been hacked into several times and I had to change my passwords. The last one was an attempt to sign into my account from Romania. Is anyone else having problems? I got a new computer because my last one had a virus so many times that I was spending more on it than it was worth. Please let me know if any of you are experiencing any problems like this.Just curious.

      Defund Now. Regardless of the reasons. They need to function as a separately stable business on their own without one penny from my offended wallet or anyone else’s. If they provide an essential service, and are able to retain customers, that is their right under the law. But tax money, public, state, local fee money, and licensing money should be declared off limits to their operation.

They have been sitting on their thrones and not making a move to defund the murder mills, or secure the borders, or cut the budget, or impeach Obama. I think they are all scared and have had their lives threatened by someone. How else can anyone explain the total lack of action on their parts. Just impeach the dictator before it’s too late.     Maybe we should turn this around on Planned Parenthood and start donating to Paul’s Pantry. It‘s easy to sit behind a computer and complain about PP’s bullying or we can bully back with our money to organizations that stand up to these domestic terrorists.

With an outstretched arm, they offer alms, yet with the other hand, they seek to destroy anymore mouths that might need food. No, do not accept gifts from tainted hands.       I have the perfect solution…
      Starting next Monday, every Catholic Food Bank and/or Free Food Kitchen in the country closes their doors. Every site locks their doors and puts a large sign on the doors directing all poor hungry people to now report to Planned Parenthood outlets and get free meals there. Keep that up for about a week and PP should get the message to mind their own dam business!

      The hypocrisy is shown by PPH. If feeding the hungry was their intent, there were other places they could have gone. Why this particular food pantry?

      Perhaps you don’t know how food banks work. They don’t typically go to contributers to pick up donations, but rather the donors deliver their gifts to the food bank. Food banks have other tasks to take care of like collecting donations, rotating stock, delivering food to the needy, and organizing food drives.

    Given the fact that they were supplied with the names of other food banks, and apparently disregarded, this shows that this was a political stunt.

    Did PPH want to feed the hungry or just the hungry at this particular location?

    I think the evidence speaks for itself. Good the food bank! Shame on the Daily Kos!

      I saw a Church turn down a donation from a lottery winner. My Church at the time did not turn it down. We sent many missionaries to Africa and India to do charity work with that money…Yes,,,you are stupid not to take it and use it for good..

      From what I read in this story Paul’s Pantry would love to have their donation. But they wisely knew the conditions of acceptance was to have their Catholic church-marked truck picking up a Planned Parenthood donation (with no doubt photographers ready to splash photos as a political gimmick for the president). Planned Parenthood became abusive at the suggestion that they should deliver their own donation as an anonymous gift (a pre-planned response on their part). Paul’s Pantry is to be commended for removing themselves from this sleazy offer.

    After giving Susan G. Komen their beat-down, Planned Parenthood feels they can do anything they want, including crush any organization that doesn’t show them appropriate “respect.”

    What organization does a food drive (without telling the recipient you’re doing it for their benefit), then DEMANDS the organization come pick it up, and pitch a hissy fit when the group says “no thank you”?

    Planned Parenthood, of course.
