‘Point of Order!’: Firestorm Erupts When Congressman Asks to Subpoena Koch Brothers to Testify on Keystone Pipeline

A House committee held what was perhaps one of its more explosive hearings Wednesday on a bill that would give a federal commission the power to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. Democrats, led by Congressman Henry Waxman, call the bill a Republican earmark and thus asked that the Koch brothers be subpoenaed to testify on their alleged investment in the project. Republican Committee chairman Ed Whitefield was having none of it, however, and cut Waxman off at the knees.

“We’re not going to be subpoenaing the Koch brothers,” he blasted. “The Koch brothers have nothing to do with this project.”

“Point of order!” Waxman bellowed. “You cut me out in the middle of a sentence!”

“Your time was up, Mr. Waxman!” Whitfield retorted. “We are going to recess this hearing for ten minutes and then we’re going to come back.”

“Are you calling the Koch brothers during the recess?” Waxman quipped.

Whitefield quickly fired back, “If you want to talk about that, let’s talk about the millions of dollars that the Obama administration gave companies like Solyndra and people like George Kaiser and other campaign bundlers…would you like us to subpoena them too?”

“Why are you interrupting members and then you take unlimited time for yourself?” Waxman asked.

“I’m the chairman! And I’m telling you right now we’re going to recess for ten minutes!” Whitfield stated, before storming out.

Speculations over why the president has delayed the decision on this project abound. Some suggest Obama he has done so to keep from angering his political base and environmentalists who oppose the pipeline. If approved, the bill would essentially bypass Obama’s decision.

Point 1. Waxman is another Dumocrat azz.

Point 2. If the Republicans can get around the Imposter-in-Chief on this Keystone Pipe line and get this project off the ground, more power to them. It’s time to get some balls, draw a line in the sand and pin Dumbo’s ears to the wall.

Point 3. It will be interesting to see how Obama squirms out of the appearance ordered by the judge in Georgia who is permitting the four complainants to go forward on challenging the Imposters Constitutional qualifications to be run for President, which has been stymied in every other case throughout the country in the past three years, deferring to power each time. There are profoundly legitimate challenges and more than ample evidence to thwart this lying, deceiving fraud and imposter. These cases have been in the pipeline and have a right to be heard. Pray both for the protection of the judge and the parties. Also pray that Dudley Do Right Bill O’Reilly keeps his nose out of the matter, for he is a first class azz when it comes to challenging Obama in this arena.

@SOUPANDSANDWICH, there are no transcripts from Columbia for Obama NEVER attended there – one of the main reasons all the Charlatan’s records are sealed. He has a sheepskin that someone provided for him, but you will not find anything else with respect to Columbia University because it does not exist. The Bamster’s days of playing “hide and seek” will be coming to an end regardless of the fact that high powered people have been involved and helped perpetrate the massive cover up.
The prayer warriors had best be involved in heavy duty binding and loosing as there are dark spiritual forces involved in the entire set of shenanigans, and that is a light term for the scope and the magnitude of the fraud that has been perpetrated on America and the American people.
When the exposure of what is at stake here – everything – these lieutenants for the Dark side are nobody to mess with in the natural. That is where God’s Big Hitters come into play, except thankfully they are neither playing nor anybody to mess with and are on our side. Thank you, Jesus.

Anything that has ever been presented by Obama or ANYONE in any way connected to Obama has been proven to be FRAUDULENT beyond a shadow of a doubt by EXPERTS. There has NEVER been an authentic original, certified copy or facsimile thereof presented to the American public nor to any agency or organization, or government official at any time that was not a forgery. Now, JZS, get your head out of your A$$ and go peddle your papers somewhere else. just so you understand the emphasis, clarity and the assuredness of the above statements, I WOULD STAKE MY LIFE UPON THEM. @JZS, under British law, Obama is a British subject. His father was from Kenya and was a British subject. His mother was an American and rejected her own citizenship and her son’s in order to get him citizenship in Indonesia. Obama is a multinational, not a natural born American citizen.

And to anyone whining about free trade “killing” jobs or sending them overseas, go read a book or take a rest because you don’t know what you are talking about. The real reason why jobs go over seas is not because of free trade. It is because of overburdening federal and state regulations on manufacturing, our minimum wage, our fiat currency, and our high tax rates. Free trade simply allows us to buy things for cheaper than we can produce them while selling things to others at a cost cheaper than what it would cost for them to produce them. Meanwhile, both parties gain in the transaction.

If you really want to bring American manufacturing back, then you should support the FairTax. It would stop taxing labor and start taxing spending instead. This would mean that a manufacturing company selling parts or assemblies to foreign markets would not be taxed. Without a tax on our production, we can sell it for lower cost, gain market share, and increase production at a lower cost. Conversely, when a foreign item that already has tax in it is sold here, it would be taxed at sale just like the American made goods and the price gap would close. Look it up, FairTax.

APPAULED; “It is the Republicans that want to do away with minimum wage and the unions…”

      Did you ask yourself why?

Both disrupt the laws of supply and demand and both create inflationary pressures. Why do you think the dollar’s purchasing power dropped by 98% since 1900? The real drop started in 1960′s, there were inflationary pressures before, but more gradual. The legislated minimum wage raises the cost of living, because the minimum wage costs have to be borne by someone which is the consumer. Not only that, but the pressure is irreversible, as the minimum creates a plateau. The same applies to union wages, but almost in an order of magnitude. The price out the manufacturing sector as it becomes a sinkhole for money rather than a money producing factor.

In 1950′s, earnings of one family member were good enough to support a family. Then came social engineering and today, it is nearly impossible for an average family to rely on one income. There are other factors involved, but the minimum and union wages do have their share in manifesting the predicament.

Fiery debate is always good. That’s what produces good results for the American public. I just want to know how they figure it would be a Republican earmark if it’s being built with private money? It was my understanding the oil companies were doing the investing – they just needed the feds to approve it since it crossed the boundry between the U.S. and Canada? I don’t follow the logic with the Democrat mindset on this if there is such a thing.

Waxman is one of the more vile members of the democrat party, along with Wasserman, Al Frankin, Barney Frank, John Kerry, Dodd, Moran, and Pelosi. There are many more who rank right up there but thinking about them has turned my stomach so much that I need to stop for a minute. Also, I’ve heard that O-blame-a‘s birth certificate has the term ’African American’ where the form asks what race and if that is true, well no such term was ever used in 1961. The term ‘African-American came to be used at a later date than the early 60′s.

The idiots who created it left all the layers in the PDF file, so you could see what they did. Also the part on the left which looks like a scanner effect of a page that’s being pulled back into a binding… the pattern on the page doesn’t warp with it! Obama is not accepting any money from any super pacs for his campaign. Only from individual donations from his supporters, as it should be for all politicians. Taking money from super pacs creates a conflict of interest. What about the memo leak where John Boeners ex-aids sent a memo to investment bankers asking them to dig deep into their pockets to fund a smear campain? They were launching an investigation into individual occupy protesters in an attempt to discredit them. They feard that democrats may start an investigation into bank fraud. They mentioned their closeness to John Boener and asked the bankers to send out a strong message to any Democrat that launching an investifation of fraudulent bankers would result in severe political consequences? Nothing to hide huh? Sorry, too late! They are busted and that is why they are so angry! Wait until the truth comes out and see who the bad guys are.

@Ramburner You seriously think Santorum is for freedom? He’s just a Catholic-flavored fascist. Read or listen to his 2005 interview on NPR “It Takes a Family”. Right from the start defends big government:
“They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do. Government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulation low and that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues, you know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world, and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone, that there is no such society that I‘m aware of where we’ve had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture.”
      http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4784905

Sorry Rick, keep your damn fat head out from where it don’t belong. Not that Gingrich and Romney are much better, if at all.

It is the liberal’s lack of intellectual acuity that prevents them from discerning something from… well anything else. Waxman and ALL liberals fail to discern a TAX funded and squandered solyndra eco-scam, from a simple executive approval of a free market endeavor . Waxman and liberals would be shocked to learn that it is often the case that Americans benefit from what other Americans create in the free market.
