The police have tracked down and arrested two Occupy Wall Street protesters after they allowed NY1 to record their “subway sticker campaign.”

The duo, Jeffrey Brewer and Aaron Minter, participated in a joint effort between Occupy Wall Street and members of the Transport Workers Union to cover subway seats with stickers that read “Priority Seating for the 1%.”  The stickers were similar to priority seating notices that reserve areas for people with disabilities.

“We want decent train service and with that kind of money in the bank, why are the rates rising? And why are services being cut?” said one Occupy Wall Street protester.

Though the two were arrested on graffiti charges, they face several others, including unlawfully posting ads and violating transit rules.

Brewster has been released, while Minter is being held on bail for a separate case.

Occupy Wall Street has utilized subways several times in their protests.  Back in November, they tried to “occupy” 16 subway stations, and in March they used chains to keep the emergency exits of NYC subways open, posting signs saying “Customers Ride for Free.”

Why are rates rising and service being cuts — Union pay and pensions keep rising, they keep damanding more money and less hours, they want more hours covered as overtimes, double overtime and holiday overtime. Meanwhile they have to cut service because the city can’t afford to keep paying for all of the union extortion

Public Transportation and City Transportation should be providing the lowest cost service with a quality standard of delivery…. the ONLY way you do this is to put out bidding to PRIVATE COMPANIES, have them compete for lower cost of operation while being contractually required to have a service level agreement in place, if they can’t meet the SLA during their contract period (which should be no more then 3 years at a time) then they automatically loose their right to reapply for the next period to bid for the job again for that period and have to wait 3 years to reapply.

The city needs competitive bidding, competitive operational service providers, they should be cuttings the operational costs of the MTA down by 2/3′rds while maintain the level of service currently available….

The MTA must, must M-U-S-T privatize, it is the only way it will survive and the city will be able to continue to maintain any form of public transportation, unions and public service do NOT mix well, unions should be only in private corporation situations to make sure corporations are accountable, they do NOT belong in public service area’s.

Why are rates going up and services being cut?

It‘s because people like you two morons don’t pay taxes and then deface public property which costs money to clean… dopes.

THIS “OBAMA”… is an all-wheels train-off-the-track nightmare in motion (and has been since his affirmative action acceptance to Columbia University… where his mind imploded)

… then it was his affirmative action admittance to Harvard’s law school where his root Socialist ideology became outright Marxist-Communistic.

Redistribute the wealth in Robin Hood style Debbie WasherWomyn fashion… is his only answer.

I support their rights to protest not how they are protesting. In a way what we do to them is what the government will do to the rest of the people when we protest at TEA Party rally or anywhere else we decide to protest. Do not fall into the trap. Defend the rights of others as you would defend your rights. Just do not defend the violence that OWS and other groups use when they do not get their way.

Speaking of Transit workers, just want you to know that in Denver, RTD drivers ” joined with about 75 other drivers , riders and members of Occupy Denver ..as part of a national push to highlight public transportation problems ” on April 4, ” because it is the anniversary of the slaying of civil rights leader the Martin Luther King Jr. King , they noted, looked to public transit as a way to get poor people to meaningful employment.” ( Denver Post ) Like all of the other their so-called entitled rights, these people claim that ” getting people to and from jobs and home is a basic civil right.” Transportation is a civil right ? No t really . The union is playing the Race Card / Crazy Definition of Civil Rights Card to help their members get more tax money when funds are short . A civil right / The Discrimination Card/ union benefit idea gone amok . All to stir up the angry Left base. Where are the adults ?

Oh, sure. Let’s give homes to the “poor.” Let’s absolve all student loans. Let’s give everyone free health insurance. Let’s give everyone free transit. It will have wonderful results like the free public education we taxpayers have been funding forever ( seen those test scores lately ? oh, I know what the Democrats will decide : let’s abolish test scores ? ! ) Think we tried that ” homes for the poor idea.” Obama even helped ACORN file a law suit against Citibank which forced them to lower their lending standards for unqualified minority borrowers . My, but that sure had great results – if you want to destroy capitalism, that is ! Amazing what these so-called Democrats are getting away with. All under the protection of the Race and Discrimination Cards. Any wonder why the Left chose Barack Obama for their candidate ? He was their ( secretly schooled- in- Alinsky community organizer) friendly ” Mr. Uniter ” and if people caught on to their real anti-capitalist agenda , their “Mr Race Card.” So clever. And so unvetted because the Media is a Lap Dog for the International Left. How sad for the survival of our local, American democracy.

This is starting to remind me of the late 60s when terrorists like Barry’s Buddy Bill Ayres were blowing things up and trying to start a revolution. The result was to piss off the average Joe working to support his family. Today, people see these marxists as just costing them more and more as the bills to correct their destruction come due.

The irony is that those that claim to want “more freedom” by attacking the system usually cause a more restrictive system with the support of the average person that feels threatened by the terrorists.

Look at it Constitutionally. You can not round them up and you can not stop them from protesting however you can shut them down if they refuse to follow the laws during that protest.
Taking away ones rights to protest will lead to our own rights being taken away by someone else. Do not fall into that trap/

They are living proof that a democracy can only function with decent citizens . These ill-bred parasites do not fit that bill.
