BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) — Police say an Oklahoma woman tripled her trouble when she stole a doughnut from someone’s truck, peed in a parking lot and offered to perform a sex act on an officer for money.
The 27-year-old Tulsa woman was being held Thursday in Washington County Jail on charges of vehicle burglary, trespassing, indecent exposure and soliciting prostitution. Jail records do not show if she has a lawyer.
The Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reports that the truck owner complained to police that the woman stole the donut at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. A convenience store clerk asked police to charge the woman because he said she relieved herself outside the store.
Officer R.S. Detherow says that when he told the woman she was under arrest, she offered to perform a sex act for money.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Washington County Court, around 2:06 a.m. Oct. 11, Bartlesville police received a report of a citizen needing assistance in the 400 block of Southeast Adams Boulevard. The victim there reportedly told police that Ishem had gotten into his truck and stolen his donut. As police were receiving that report, a clerk from a nearby convenience store said that after Ishem got out of the man’s truck, she pulled her pants down and urinated in the parking lot.
When police questioned Ishem, she reportedly told them that she was “sitting on her moneymaker” and offered sexual favors to arresting officers.

How badly would any of our self-respect or sense of worthiness have to be battered to do what this woman did in public? I mean no disrespect to any of the Blaze people. I once got such an education about people like this by volunteering to help prisoners learn enough math and English to pass a GED. I was all full of myself, helping the underprivileged, doing volunteer work. Arrogance is not in my nature. I guess I had never had any real opportunity in my affluent suburban-raised life to see anything like this or see anything from this point of view. One of my students wasn’t present when I came in one day, and as she was bright and doing well I was concerned and asked for her. I was told she had earned a home visit and had come back with a “dirty urine.” Not understanding anything at this time, and being hurt and angry because she had such promise, I said some things which I now think of as stupid, like “how could she be so stupid” and “all the work she‘s done and she just can’t wait to get out for 10 minutes and get high” and like that. Then my prisoners began to educate me. And they were much gentler with me than I had been with her. I learned that in some places in this country, people live in a culture where it is common for children to watch their parents get high and drunk. It is common for them to watch their parents trade food stamps for money to buy drugs. It is common for children to watch to watch their parents steal clothing from stores to trade for food stamps and the cycle continues. I was being taught by people who grew up knowing this as a way of life, not being taught it was actually wrong. When they became addicted themselves, they followed the same pattern as their neighbors and parents. And I learned that the addict’s drugs of choice have a more powerful hold on them than absolutely anything else. For an addict to break their addiction, they must often leave everything and everyone they know, because going back around them breaks their sobriety. I learned that unless you have been through it or know someone who has, you have no understanding of the war occurring in the addict between their need for their families and old friends and their desire for sobriety. Many of them have to go to jail and fail urine tests many times before they begin to value themselves enough to break away. Some never do. My prisoner students told me their stories for 2 hours and I was changed when I left that day. I would have stayed longer, but the warden was strict about their schedule and it was time for them to do something else. I haven’t been the same since.

Uh-oh… I mentioned “porn” here twice, too. I’ve only heard the word from Glenn Beck about 50 times now, in reference to Chris Christie. Along with references about Glenn’s nipples, gay affairs with Pat, and requests to merge Nancy Pelosi‘s face with Lindsey Graham’s, which is just disgusting… believe me. I obliged and sent it in. I still have trouble sleeping.
My guess is the more sheltered users among us have been reporting posts that make them want to faint from the sheer horror of having to read something that hurts their stunted sensibilities. To them: You shouldn’t have the internet. You have issues. You’re also massive hypocrites for not respecting the first amendment… petty wanna-be dictators. Liberals are right; some of you really are fascists.

I agree with you on censorship here at The Blaze. You probably know I rant about this periodically. Censorship here is becoming psychotic. I am censored a lot and my articles are tame compared to much of what I read here.
Censorship is not in keeping with a conservative philosophy. This Iron Fist censorship here at The Blaze makes Glenn Beck look to be a hypocrite and makes The Blaze look be just another political propaganda machine controlling the message.
Iron Fist censorship destroyed the new GOP web site. Iron Fist censorship will destroy The Blaze.

I have seen a lot of your great comments, but none about censorship… but I can imagine, as you seem very tenacious. It’s disheartening, isn’t it? It doesn‘t flow with what I thought where the reasons for this site’s existence; truth, defending freedom, being one of the last refuges for conservatives / moderates and freedom of speech.
From listening to Glenn, that’s what I gathered it was for.
I agree completely with your assessment of some moderators. I see it everywhere. There is no discretion sometimes. I use plenty of discretion on this end, as a guest. I don‘t use language that can’t be used on TV, and for the most part keep it clean. Some of my jokes are a tiny bit controversial to some people, but I usually let the article set the tone and just flow with it.
That headline alone is worse than anything I’ve ever said.

That’s pretty much how I feel. I’m under their roof, so will abide by their rules… but when you aren’t breaking any, you should be treated with the same respect. It’s supposed to go both ways if you want to maintain some form of credibility.
There really isn’t any way to tell if a mod deleted your post, but I do web design for a living. I build servers and websites, and know things don’t just “disappear” from a website. They are redundant beyond belief, are logged, and you can view caches via Google. Especially this site… wow. Glenn should be proud, because Google caches content on this site within 30 seconds. That’s very high ranking stuff.
I’ve observed the WHOIS info of this site, even watched them change servers for the 10/02/10 rally to handle the traffic load. Notice how excellent the site was on that day, then it went back to being unresponsive at times the next day? It was a server change. They must have put it on a very expensive server for that event, then moved it back.
But anyway, my point is, things don’t just fall off websites. It takes cognitive effort to remove them, and it’s an all or nothing kind of thing. If mine just “disappeared” then so should have all the other comments on that content server. But they didn’t. So they were selectively removed. Same if there was a problem and they had to revert to an earlier state; all comments at / after the time of my posting should also have been gone.
Regarding the story… I agree, it’s pretty irrelevant, but just think of it as a baited hook for liberals, as they like this sort of thing. It’s sleazy, but can definitely serve a purpose. That‘s what we’re trying to do, right? Wake up liberals? Reel them in, I say.

Pretty much the standard set every site has. The thing about these is they are open to interpretation;

All that changes depending on the person. It’s all about discretion. If I were a mod here, it would take something pretty ruthless to make me delete a post, but obviously others are much more sensitive. Perhaps they just aim too high. I don’t know.
“Vulgar” language? I‘m going by Glenn Beck’s standards, here. Actually, better than that because he’s said some pretty nasty stuff on air before. Remember that show where he was making fun of the reporter for asking a young girl her stance on Palin? A the end of his (very funny and filthy) rant, he said “Can I even say that on the radio?“ and Stu said ”Probably not consecutively” or something like that. I’m sure words were traded during the break.
That wasn’t edited out of the podcast, so it was fit for consumption. This is Glenn’s website, and he sets the tone whether he knows it or not. Of course he’s going to attract like-minded people. It’s only common sense. We should have a little breathing room to be individuals, here. I wasn’t issued a uniform at the door, were you?
I think a lot more people here just need to ask themselves what is more important: Not being offended at the expense of free speech, or the freedom to speak.

If you come to my business and start swearing I’ll kick you out. Why do you think you have to ask permission to put up a flyer on a businesses property. Freedom of speach has to deal with things in public places. Even then it can be taken away. IF you just start swearing in public, you can be fined for disorderly conduct. If you say that I am going to hit you, and your near the person and raise your fist, that is an assault. Just remember you can say anything you want, but those words on the constitution can’t protect you from someone who finds your “free speach” offensive and takes it in to his own hands. Remember cops are only good for two things….picking up bodies and filling out paperwork. Even in some liberal cities they don’t fill out the paperwork anymore you do.
