Homeless Woman Tries to Eat Babys Arm

Police arrested Natasha Hubbard for aggravated assault after she allegedly snatched a baby boy from his stroller.

Police arrested a 36-year-old homeless woman for allegedly snatching a baby boy from his stroller and slamming him into a pole, then trying to break his arm off so she could eat it, authorities said Wednesday.

Adriana Miranda was walking with her sister in downtown Los Angeles during the July 21 incident, pushing her 4-month-old son down the street when Natasha Hubbard allegedly reached into the stroller, unbelted the baby and grabbed him by the leg, swinging him overhead before slamming him into a rail, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The boy’s mother and aunt tried to fight Hubbard off, and when Miranda was finally able to grab the baby back Hubbard scratched at her and kept trying to fight.

The baby received only minor injuries and was treated for bruises and scratches.

According to the Times, Hubbard ran away but witnesses helped identify her, leading to her arrest. She was charged with aggravated assault and her bail set at $30,000. She is currently on probation for both a narcotics case and a battery case, and has been arrested for aggravated assault before.

In an interview with detectives, Hubbard confirmed she tried to break the baby’s arm off in order to eat it.

      This happened in California. No death penalty. They will release her in a few months because some judge will order a reduction of the prison population due to funding shortages. I am glad I live on the other side of the country!

      As someone who has never taken drugs, what kind of drug makes you want to break off a random child’s arm and eat it?

      If she would have simply said it then I would simply dismiss it as drug talk but she attacked the child!

      Many people don’t know just how many homeless also suffer from mental illness. Those who live on the streets with those disorders are the ones who can’t help themselves. Unfortunately this woman will probably be thrown back on the street once she does her jail time. She doesn’t have the mental stability to pick herself up on her own.

      Poor thing sipped through the cracks???!!!!! NO. Part of our problem is all the programs we have to “save” people. Those who choose to do drugs, abuse alcohol and live such a lifestyle bear personal responsibility – like it or not. If she’s mentally ill and living on the street you can blame liberals who wanted to “set them free” a couple decades ago. People this ill are not capable of living a semi-normal life in society. Sometimes an institution is the right answer.

      Seems like you think I am making “excuses” for the “dirtbag” (and am consequently a “dirtbag’ as well). The insanity defense is not an “excuse.” It is accepted in every state of the union. If you don’t feel it should be a defense, then you have plenty of company (including some with considerable intellect and composure). Personally, I wish that America would adopt the Scottish finding of “Guilty, But insane“ instead of ”Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity.” If, however, you think that the death penalty is a deterent to the insane, then your belief is simply irrational.       That being said, the preventative benefits of the death penalty are absolute. I support the death penalty for anyone who demonstrates this level of violence, crazy or not.

      @slimnranger: You‘re right about it being in Bill Clinton’s administration. I had a friend who was administrator of a State home and eventually lost her job because of it. Put these people out in the streets to fend for themselves when too many are druggies and incompetent to make a good decision.
      Some went to group homes. This woman was on drugs, obviously, and sick in the head to boot to make such a sick act against a baby. Thank the Lord the poor baby was ok.

      Uh, Mark, I think I would look more to the Individuals with Disabilities Act for the reason that mentally ill people were unleashed on society. Most people outside of education would be horrified at the resultant chaos in schools produced by mainstreaming ALL children in the general education setting. It prohibits “warehousing” people who have problems. Just because someone writes a scholarly treatise on something doesn’t make it true.

You can walk into any Church and they will make sure you get food! She need MENTAL HELP!
