Police: Man Dropped Crack Out of His Pants, Ate it in Front of Officers

Kenneth Dwayne Swann was arrested after police said he dropped a bag of crack cocaine in front of them and proceeded to eat it. (Salisbury Post)

A North Carolina man pulled over for having tinted windows dropped a bag of crack cocaine out of his undershorts and ate it in front of officers, police said.

According to the police report, 31-year-old Kenneth Dwayne Swann was walking “stiff-legged” when he got out of his car after officers pulled him over Thursday night. That’s when police said a small bag of crack fell out of his undershorts, WTSP 10 reported.

Swann then “bent down, grabbed it and ate the crack,” officers said.

According to the report, officers were unable to get the crack out of Swann’s mouth before he swallowed it. They searched him and found an additional baggie in his shorts, this one containing three grams of crack.

The Salisbury Post reported police also recovered 57 oxycontin pills and $223 from his vehicle, which smelled strongly of marijuana and air fresheners.

According to the Post, Swann was given medication to “help retrieve the bag,” as well as medication to prevent injury if it burst.

Swann was jailed under a $102,500 bond and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer; two counts of felony trafficking opium derivatives; and maintaining a vehicle for keeping and storing prescription pills.

Medication in case it bursts? I say feed the rest of the garbage to him, and then bury the whole mess when he kicks.

Why is when a drug dealer gets busted the first thing they want to do is swallow the drugs. As if dying from a drug overdose is better than going to jail. On top of the fact they are still going to get charged with the drugs anyway, and still receive an additional charge for tampering with the evidence, so it’s like a double whammy.

No, it’s more like a quadruple or pentuple whammy.

The Feds make money moving the drugs in, make money keeping the drugs illegal and lucrative for the cartels and Taliban, demands more tax dollars to fight a war against it’s own people, uses the tax dollars to erect a police state around everyone, moves guns dope and cash for the cartels and Taliban, and then locks up low level users and pushers on the hind end in prison forever as a modern slave to the big banker owned prison industrial complex working for pennies on the dollar, stifling any competition.

Who can compete with government sponsored and sanctioned slavery? Ask China.

So let me get this straight… is this a story in code to warn me that if my windows are tinted I will get pulled over? In FL too dark is probable cause, albeit rarely enforced, or is their something other that escalates this story to this level of news. If it read Police Man: … rather than Police: Man arrested I might see the significance. This kind of thing happens every night .. all night long in high drug traffic areas…help me out here blazers ??

The only part of the window that “should” be tinted is the 4 inches from the top of your windshield. Anything more than that could be construed as someone who has something to hide IMO. Get some sunglasses if you (not you in particular) feel the sun is too bright.

In this case, brother man had something to hide…. up his arse it seems. Good for the police. Get these POS off the roads, out of neighborhoods and put they’re drug abusing/ selling arses in jail.

I guess you don’t live in California. It’s illegal to have darkly tinted windows here, but most of the drug dealers and small-tim criminals do anyway.

It seems you won’t mind, then, if one of them crashes into you while they’re driving high as a kite.

It is still a load of crap and unconstitutional. I don’t care if this guy is a criminal or not. If I put tinted windows on my home, does that give police “probable cause” to enter my house and arrest me.

Wake up America. Our freedom is being lost by the bucket loads.

Now, if they police would have pulled this alleged drug dealer over for a legitimate reason, and found crack on him, then I’d say throw the book at him.

I don’t agree with federal drug laws, they are unconstitutional. It is a states right issue. However, I do believe the states should have very severe punishments for drug offenses, along the line with Singapore’s drug laws: If you caught with drugs, you are put to death or face life in prison.

      At Suran,

What does tinted windows have to do with driving while under the influence? They can do that with or without tinted windows, and they will do it regardless.

Do you ban steak knives because someone uses one as a weapon? Wake up, we are being overly-regulated on every aspect of our life. We are no longer free. Freedom is nothing more than an illusion now in our country.

Let the cops pull him over for a legitimate reason, not for tinted windows. The fourth amendment is being trashed here.

Maybe the president ought to start by stopping the Military and Feds from shipping in the DANGEROUS drugs from abroad (like Cocaine and Heroin) and letting the pharmaceutical industry stop creating new addicts by modifying opium into “new drugs”.

States rights means the people VOTE whether or not the people can get high off of drugs not created by Big Pharma, not the Feds DICTATING to the people from on high as if they’re OUR masters. No, we’re THEIR masters.

Master, servant. Master, servant. Some brainwashed sheep and corrupt government troglodytes don’t understand that concept.

Your “you’re a neo-liberal if you’re for states rights” argument holds no water whatsoever. We want personal, financial, and religious freedom from authoritarian rule. Period. Ron Paul‘s stance on drugs doesn’t make him even remotely “liberal” in the modern context of the term.

Neocons just want to tell everybody what to do with their body by imposing their morals and values on everyone else.

The POTUS needs to lead a war against it’s own people getting high?

Nobody grows coca and poppy here…
