SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Witnesses say police have opened fire to break up an anti-government protest in Yemen, and security officials say one protester has been critically wounded.
It was not immediately clear whether the police were using live ammunition or rubber bullets.
The security officials say two others demonstrators were also wounded in the eastern town of Mukalla, but no details were immediately available.
The protest in Mukalla was one of several anti-government demonstrations across Yemen Thursday. Tens of thousands joined in the protests, chanting “down, down with the regime.”
The marches were among the largest yet against President Ali Abdullah Saleh, a key U.S. ally in the fight against al-Qaida. Earlier this week, the president promised not to extend his term beyond 2013 in an attempt to defuse calls for his ouster.

Code pink should really understand that they and their voice are not welcomed in theses types of places because they are women. They should be fighting to stop it from ever coming here.

Yemen, Algeria, Jordan, Egypt,Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Sudan, and Lybia are all experiencing some level of public riots. Couple this with Europe’s uprising ( England, Greece, Spain, Italy, etc.) and even Stevie Wonder can see that something is happening.

Posted on February 3, 2011 at 11:07amThese people of the world who are awakened seem to lack basic human needs, food, employment, dignity, education that result in a chance at a life to enjoy family and the human condition that provides the basis of existence.
Dignity and the realization that all men (people) are created equal, endowed by their creation (being human) with rights bestowed them for being alive.
I am proud of my heritage and I will be dammed if this inequality escapes human thought. Stand up for Human rights.

We have progressed far enough I was thinking no big deal. I forgot that means passing between Somalia and Yemen.

Boycott OPEC and all oil removed from Islamic lands.
No oil drilling in the US by non-American companies.
No US Subsidies to other countries to drill for us. Read: Brazil. Mexico.
No Trade with countries that call for the end of the West. ((Make no mistake, Israel is their target out of habit. We are a real close second.. perhaps higher. They know if they can separate us from Israel’s side.. they can take both down piecemeal. Israel through battle, America from the inside.
See Amerika. Reference: recent attempts to install Sharia in Oklahoma and elsewhere.

Posted on February 3, 2011 at 11:35amIsn’t time we stop trying to “make friends” with the middle east? Let’s drill for oil on our soil, in our waters. Let’s seal off our borders properly and prepare to defend ourselves and our TRUE allies.
Enough with bribing some “flavor of the month” dictator with cash/power/weapons to do what is the right thing to begin with.
Let them have their “muslim brotherhood” and when they get tired of being tortured over trespasses, having their women stoned, having body parts cut off, their freedom denied…AND are still starving and living in poverty…then they can rise up once more, and…and…what am I saying. These goat f*uckers will never learn to govern themselves responsibly, they actually enjoy being told what to do rather than deciding for themselves.
This will be the ultimate lesson that comes from Iraq. The people did nothing to strike back at Sadaam, they do nothing to help bring change now -as long as they have Americans to die in their place- and withing a few years they’ll be right back to having a brutal dictator torturing them, robbing the country blind and telling them what to do and think.
If we left them the heck alone for 200 years,we might just find ourselves self-sufficient as a country…and they might actually start behaving like humans instead of a cross between cowardly sheep and ravenous wolves.
