Police Stop ‘Batman’ For Improper Car Tags

Montgomery County, MD Police Stop Driver Dressed as Batman

The police must have had quite a laugh in Montgomery County, MD, after they pulled over a Lamborghini for not having proper tags.  The driver instead displayed the Batman logo, and after they pulled him over, the police found him dressed like Batman, too.

The Montgomery County Police Department has a Facebook page where they put up photos of the event.  Commenters soon overwhelmed the page with statements like:

‘Crime fighting is not what it used to be!’

‘…Batman’s greatest weakness, traffic cops’

‘Why so serious, MCPD?’

‘Bff! Boom! Pow!’

Officer Janelle Smith, who acts also acts as a police spokeswoman, clarified that the man is a “good samaritan,” and was previously at the hospital entertaining sick children.  They let him off with a warning, and sent him on his way.

cops nowadays, as witnessed by 24/7 cars pulled over for speeding in every town and highway throughout america, are nothing more than glorified traffic cops who are funding their local govs and securing their own lifetime taxpayer funded existence, the true 1%’ers…we are the prey and the only way to avoid them is to drive a 77 electra (only goes over 65 downhill) and obey the speed limit..next…

The original BatMobile was a converted 1966-67 Pontiac GTO. I prefer what this Bat is driving, though.

      Thanks, officers!!

Sorry, the original Batmoblie was a 1955 Ford Futura designed as a concept car and displayed at the Chicago Auto Show. (It was a girlish pearl blue at the time). It was featured in a 1959 film starring Glenn Ford and Debbie Reynolds, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

Not to pick a nit or anything

The police failed to do their job. I am SURE that batman is on a terrorist watch list today, along with tea party, former military heroes, and the like. They let an “enemy of the state” go free with a mere warning? What has this country come to?

Good to see that Batman is still a super hero… unlike Superman who abandoned the US. Good job Batman, still in your corner. Good job po-po for making the stop, and letting him go. I bet y’all took pics with Batman first. LMAO, no problem, I woulda too.

You anarchists would think any govt registration should be illegal although it has stopped or caught many criminals. Your form of govt, in todays world, would lead to a bullet in your head. Anarchy only means the baddest MF here makes the rules… and that would be me. I have more guns, ammo, and food than you. Trust me.

Who has killed more people; government sanctioned “public servants” or individuals acting without state permission?

I love it when people resort to peen measuring in regards to their assortment of weapons, but claim we need government to protect us. Protect us from Who? The peen measurers, of course.

Anarchy is not chaos. A well armed society is a polite society. It takes a government to really commit an atrocity.

How nice. Did you know that these “oinkers” probably have families who love and support them? My father is a former law enforcement officer who I am VERY proud of. He was the first to suggest carrying stuffed animals in the trunk of patrol officer’s vehicles for children they happened upon during calls in our area. He would go and counsel young adults in prison after having arrested them, and try to help them get out of their life of crime after being released by working with local businesses to get them hired. So, your rude, insulting and ignorant comment is invalid and fails.

Hmmm… that’s about how I feel whenever people insult me, my husband, and my kids when they make blanket statements about how black people act, or how lazy poor people are…

Not that you were making any of those comments. There are far too many people judging entire classes of people on this site, thinking all police are corrupt, all black people are thugs, or all poor people are uneducated liberals.

The police did let him go with a warning. That was pretty nice. Perhaps Batman can come up with a different sort of solution to his tags thing… get legal plates and just cover them up when the car is sitting in the parking lot or something.

Yeah, right, all you cops (and progeny) are pure saints. Carrying stuffed animals for kids…indeed! C’mon, don‘t insult people’s intelligence. I recently called the cops because a derelict was violently threatening me and other pedestrians on the street for not giving him money. When the ‘oinkers’ arrived, they started brusquely questioning me as to why I was there, all the while asking this drunken bum: “What services could I get for you, sir?” And this is hardly an isolated incident.
But of course, you’re probably one of those cretins who think Sgt. Bales was a hero. Maybe that cop who was nasty to me, one of the victims, but sweet-as-sugar to the assailent, maybe that was your father!

Just because a lot of cops stink doesn’t mean that they all do. One threatened to put my mom in handcuffs because, unbeknownst to her, the card reader at the gas station wasn’t working and even though she ran her card through the gas pump to pay, it didn’t take her money. The store owner didn’t want to press charges after she apologized and paid, but he was still belligerent to her.

That’s one police officer though. Even if 90% of the cops were bad (and I don‘t think that it’s that high), there’s still a percentage of decent people out there. There are people that take that job because they are good, kind people that want to help. You can’t lump those people in with the bad ones.

Was he a danger to anyone? Nope. He broke a minor regulation, didn’t display his state forms correctly, papers please, comrade.

No victim, no crime. Dear police: move on.
